A truly wonderful experience!
The room was spacious and clean, and both beds were quite large; my child and I could easily share one. The refrigerator was stocked with drinks and snacks, and there was even a card reminding guests that these were complimentary! The environment was simply amazing. Located right in the ancient town, the guesthouse has many rooms, all with a classic, antique feel, and peonies everywhere. It will probably be even more beautiful in spring when the flowers bloom! The complimentary Hanfu (traditional Han clothing) experience and lacquer fan making were a huge hit with the kids! Breakfast was different every day, ensuring everyone was well-fed. They also offer high-speed rail pick-up and drop-off service, and the driver was incredibly punctual, ensuring we weren't late!
If I have the chance, I'd love to come back again when it's warmer!

We stayed for 2 nights. The city is great and really differs from other cities we went to. We can not recommend this stay enough. The room was great, everything was really clean. Bed was the comfiest bed we slept on. Bathroom is spacious enough. Location is great, basically the biggest attractions in the city (Luoyi Ancient City and Sui Tang National Heritage Park) are 15 minutes away from you. The biggest plus that we have from this stay are its hosts. When we were going to Longmen Grottoes, Wang showed us cheaper route with a bus and though we didnt have cash on us, he gave us without hesitation and didnt want us to pay him back. At the end he gave us enough bottled water for 2 days basically. His wife also was really kind and helpful. Overall, a great experience which we cant recommend enough! Would definitely come back!

The room was spotless, spacious, and bright, with incredibly soft and comfortable bedding that ensured a peaceful night's sleep. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the check-in/check-out process was efficient and thoughtful. The facilities were well-maintained, with consistently reliable hot water and Wi-Fi throughout my stay. Breakfast offered a great variety of fresh and delicious options. Overall, the value for money was outstanding – truly more than I anticipated. I highly recommend it and will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!

Luoyang is truly a city you won't want to leave once you've arrived! So many museums to explore, endless beautiful sights to see. I stayed here for all 4 days of my trip, and the hotel was fully equipped, with excellent service and a fantastic location. It's far enough from the noisy city center but still conveniently close to the attractions – a taxi to any major scenic spot never cost more than 15 yuan. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!

Upon arrival, I was amazed on how quiet and clean the space were, took countless photos and couldn't dare to mess the space up, but I had to. It was such a lovely welcome with a flower (fake) on the bed, such a nice prop if you plan to take pictures with the lovely soft light coming from the window.
Location is very convenient, close to the metro and buses, being right at the entrance of the 丽景门, going places was ideally. Foods and milk tea stores were downstairs less than 5min walk away. 15-20min you would had reach the end of the night market from the hotel.
The room was clean and neat. If solo travel or couple traveller, it would be least of an issue, but if travelling with your friend, I must say the main door to the bathroom do need a little cover up as it is just a glass door. The bed was comfy, the pillow was the right height and firmness. I love the big space that's worth the price. I felt so space in this little hotel, the owners were so kind and friendly, vey lovely service too.
In conclusion: i would come back here when I'm in Luoyang again.

Guest UserOur stay at Luoyang Banshan Siji Hot Spring Hotel was the most pleasant surprise of our trip to Luoyang.
The hotel corridors are brand new, and the rooms are fully equipped, offering an extremely high level of comfort. The butler service was exceptionally attentive and responsive, even arranging car services for us, so we didn't have to worry about transportation at all.
The infinity pool was the absolute highlight. The views were completely unobstructed, offering panoramic vistas of the surrounding mountains. Watching the sunset paint the sky crimson in the evening was breathtaking.
If you're looking for attentive service and a chance to truly relax amidst nature, this is definitely the top choice in Luoyang. We'll be back!

Anonymous UserHygiene: The hygiene was exceptionally poor.
I arrived quite late and went straight to bed. The next morning, I woke up with my whole body itching. When I pulled back the covers, I saw a lot of skin flakes at the foot of the bed! It was incredibly dirty. Beneath the scent of the detergent on the sheets, there was a strange, acrid smell. The other bed in the twin room didn't have this issue. The picture shows one large skin flake; I cleaned up the smaller ones myself. I was shocked when I saw it. My exposed skin has been itching for days, even after applying medicine.
Two of the complimentary bottled water bottles provided by the hotel were placed on the sink in the bathroom. Given that there were already two bottles on the minibar, why put another two in the bathroom sink? I personally found that a bit unhygienic.
I hope the hotel changes the bedsheets for each guest.
Service: The front desk staff and other services were quite good.
Breakfast: The breakfast selection was rich and varied.

Guest UserLet's start with the positives: This is an older, established hotel. While the facilities show their age, many small details highlight their service philosophy. For example, the 'Whim Card' lists numerous small items they can provide, which is very comprehensive. The TV remote control was disinfected and packaged. The mini-fridge contained local, classic sodas. This shows that their overall service is on point. The room was spacious enough and I didn't notice any major issues with cleanliness. Breakfast was abundant and very good.
Now for the negatives: The facilities definitely need an upgrade. The computer still runs on Windows 7, and the software versions are even older. It should just be removed, there's really no need for it to be there. I suggest repairing the bathroom and faucets. The switch for diverting water between the bathtub and the showerhead isn't properly sealed; when you run the bath, the showerhead drips everywhere. The same issue exists with the shower itself. Also, the air conditioning refilled water at night. The gushing sound around 11 PM startled me; I thought there was a leak. It could easily be refilled during the day instead.

Guest UserI had heard about Huayang's excellent service before, and experiencing it firsthand was truly wonderful. Upon check-in, I was offered a hot towel to clean my hands. The front desk lady smoothly took my ID and immediately put a protective cover on it. The room was clean and tidy, and there was an abundance of toiletries. Every staff member was very friendly, always greeting me with a nod whenever we met. During a typhoon, my laundry wasn't drying well, and the staff promptly helped me resolve the issue. What really stood out was returning to find my clothes, which I had hung in the bathroom, had been taken out and neatly arranged on a drying rack. It felt like a 'snail girl' (a mythical helpful fairy) had visited – these small gestures made me feel incredibly cared for. Next time I'm in Luoyang, I will definitely stay at Huayang again. Looking forward to my next visit!

Luoyang Ludao Shisanshe: A Hidden Gem in the Ancient Capital
Half the surprises of a trip to the ancient capital of Luoyang come from its natural landscapes and cultural heritage, and the other half undoubtedly belong to Ludao Shisanshe Hotel. This designer hotel, tucked away in Luolong District, completely overturned my expectations of accommodation from the moment I stepped into its courtyard.
The location is a golden coordinate for cultural tourism, with impeccable convenience. A five-minute walk will take you to the Sui and Tang Botanical Garden, where you can admire peonies in spring and ginkgo trees in autumn – a feast for the eyes in every season. A five-minute drive will take you to the Luoyang Museum to touch history, and thirteen minutes will take you directly to the Longmen Grottoes. Catching the high-speed train is just a seven-minute drive away, eliminating any worries about transportation. Parking is available right outside the hotel, making it incredibly convenient for travelers with cars. The surrounding environment is also exceptionally quiet, offering tranquility for resting at night.
The ambiance exudes elegance and Zen-like tranquility. Upon entering, you're greeted by a gently flowing misty water system, interspersed with flowers, plants, fish, and birds, instantly evoking the ethereal beauty of a Jiangnan water town. The all-wood décor, complemented by master calligraphy and paintings on the walls, and the pleasant fragrance wafting through the corridors, makes every corner feel like an art gallery setting—perfect for taking photos anywhere. I especially loved the outdoor loft; gazing at the Wangcheng Bridge from the railing, the expansive view instantly relieved travel fatigue. The rooftop terrace was the perfect spot for relaxing with tea.
The rooms are filled with thoughtful details and quality. The smart home system can switch between reading, romantic, and other modes. Dyson hair dryers, Jasmine toiletries, and Evian mineral water all exude sophistication. The brand-name bedding is so soft it's addictive. Some rooms include a bathtub and bath salts, along with complimentary tea bags and snacks. A bath before bed followed by a glass of warm milk provided by the hotel is pure bliss. The hygiene was impeccable; the bedding and towels were spotless and fresh, even the toothbrushes were soft-bristled and gentle on gums—the attention to detail truly shone through.
The service was so warm and welcoming that it's unforgettable. Someone called in advance to confirm my needs and proactively turned on the heating, making the room cozy and inviting from the moment I entered. The receptionist patiently answered all my questions, and the staff even brought hot water and fruit—the butler service was truly exceptional.
The dining experience was a delightful surprise. Breakfast was authentic Chinese cuisine, with a full range of options including steamed buns, porridge, and fried noodles, plus complimentary refills of Pu'er tea and coffee. In the summer, they even offered free ice. The individual servings at the main courses were a truly special experience. The abalone, sea cucumber, and other ingredients were fresh, and the secret dipping sauces were incredibly delicious. Dining in a Suzhou-style courtyard setting was a feast for both the taste buds and the eyes.
Having stayed at many hotels in Luoyang, Ludao Thirteen Lodge stands out as my top choice.
