GGuest UserThis was my first business trip to Huaqiangbei, and I chose this business hotel. My entire stay was absolutely perfect, with no complaints whatsoever. The hotel's location is a huge plus, right in the heart of the Huaqiangbei Electronic Market business district and next to the subway. This made it incredibly convenient for sourcing goods, dining, and shopping – truly a one-stop solution. The public areas and corridors were clean and well-maintained, giving a grand impression.
The front desk service was professional and attentive. Both check-in and check-out processes were simple and efficient. The staff were all very friendly, and when I asked for directions, they explained everything patiently and in detail. The soundproofing in the room was excellent, completely blocking out street noise, which resulted in fantastic sleep quality. The hygiene standards were very high; daily housekeeping was thorough and meticulous. Desks, bathrooms, and bedding were all tidied and refreshed, and the room was well-ventilated without any stuffiness.
The in-room amenities were complete and worked perfectly. The air conditioning was very powerful, and the faucets and shower provided a steady, uninterrupted flow of water with instant hot water. There were plenty of power outlets, and the internet connection was smooth and reliable for work. Two convenient amenities really stood out: the 24-hour gym was great for working out and de-stressing anytime, and the self-service washer-dryer combo solved all my laundry needs during my business trip. The hotel even offered to help with laundry service. The smart robot delivery service saved a lot of time and hassle, eliminating the need to go down to the lobby.
The night-time perks were incredibly thoughtful: a wide variety of complimentary late-night snacks, and warm milk before bed to aid sleep. The location, service, and facilities were all top-notch. The overall value for money far exceeded other hotels in the same category nearby. I highly recommend it to business travelers who frequently visit Huaqiangbei!

PPanzhihuasadunWe came to Xiaomeisha for two days, and unfortunately, the weather wasn't on our side – it rained non-stop. But staying at MGM, it felt like the rain was a blessing in disguise. Looking out from the giant glass window in the lobby, the misty, rainy sea was completely different from usual, like an ink wash painting. The floor-to-ceiling windows in our room were blurred by the rain, and just snuggling on the sofa, listening to the rain and watching the waves, the kids still had a blast – we didn't miss a single craft activity or M Show performance at the hotel. The infinity pool was the absolute best; rain overhead, sea in front of us. Even our little one said, “Mommy, it’s like we’re in the clouds.” Breakfast still goes until 11 AM, so we enjoyed a leisurely meal, and the hallways were completely dry. The only regret is that we didn't get to go to the beach. Our Chestnut (child's nickname) was very understanding. When we left, it was still raining, and my husband said, “Next time, we’ll come back on a sunny day to make up for the beach.” But I honestly think this rainy day version was already unforgettable.

The room had a phone, which was convenient for contacting the front desk to request water, pillows, or anything else I needed. It was very comfortable! Both the cleaning staff and the front desk team were incredibly polite. Overall, my stay was excellent, and I'll definitely be back.

- Both our rooms at level 10 were relatively close to each other facing the Wong Tee Plaza. It might be a way of the said front desk staff allocating these rooms to us to compensate for our unpleasant check in experience (see below). Spectacular views and we managed to spectate the night light show on Saturday without needing to go to the Civic Centre.
- Facilities are great including 24-hour well equipped gym and sauna (best of all hotels in China we experienced so far).
- Rooms are relatively new and fully equipped with necessities, has a dyson air dryer, Toto automatic toilet, automated curtains and a steamer to iron the clothes.
- Breakfast had a lot of varieties to offer (personally loved the oden and sushi section), good service too.
- Housekeeping was amazing. As I was leaving my room, Joy asked if we were interested in their laundry services and we declined as we do not have much laundry to do.
After the first day of housekeeping, she noticed we did simple laundry (1-2 pieces of undergarment) and offered us a complimentary mini laundry detergent. We appreciate her thoughtfulness despite the fact that we initially declined her services.
- Check out was relatively seamless, I believe it was the front office manager that managed our check out and explained the deposit refund procedures accordingly.
- Concierge was decent too as they suggested we are better off getting a Didi to transfer our move to our next destination, and helped us load our bags to the Didi.
Cons
The only downside experience was check in. We requested if it would be possible to have interconnecting rooms (all good if not, at least as close to each other as possible within the same floor). We were advised that given interconnecting rooms are not available for the same type of rooms:
1.The staff provided an offer (upgrade to one of the bigger rooms that has interconnecting room with free 3 days hotel breakfast for 2 out of 4 pax). The quote/offer was outside of our budget hence we declined the offer and we just accept our original booking via Trip.com with no interconnecting rooms.
2.After we declined, the staff informed us that she miscalculated the price (from RMB 31k down to RMB 20k) for the same offer. This is very odd/confusing to us especially with the price difference due to miscalculation, and she was trying to push this offer to us again which we declined. At this point, whatever price quoted to us of this offer lost its credibility and we proceeded to stick to our original booking.
3.The staff said that she will notify us via WeChat (she added us on WeChat) once the room is ready. Understood at that time it was before check in time (i.e. before 3pm) hence we decided to grab lunch and come back after the check in time.
It was past 3pm and we heard nothing from her upon returning to hotel and had to approach the front desk to ask for an update. The same staff managed to provide us key card for one of the rooms while the other room is still not ready (it was past 3:20pm at that time). She said that she will arrange one of her coworkers to deliver the keycards to us once that other room is ready. Around 3:50-4:20pm, we heard nothing (I walked past the other room and noted the housekeeping has finished cleaning up the room and left). I had to go to the front desk to request an update and eventually obtained the keycard.
I am not sure if the above stems from the individual's motivation or if this is part of the hotel's standard procedure to aggressively upsell (even if we already said no) or if the front desk is pressured to meet monthly KPIs, but that left us an unpleasant check in experience and obviously did not represent the check in hospitality standards of the hotel itself.
Aside from the check in, we loved everything hence we had to give 4 out of 5.

We booked a king room, and they even provided toothbrushes and slippers for the kids, which was a nice touch. The pool is good too, though it was a shame it rained during our two-day stay; I imagine the view would be even better on a sunny day. It's very close to the subway station, and breakfast was also good. Definitely worth a visit.

Ccircle920As the best hotel in Shenzhen, it truly lives up to expectations. Although it opened several years ago, it's incredibly well-maintained. The bedding and bath products are very thoughtfully chosen, and the welcome tea and snacks were a nice touch. The afternoon tea selection might not be huge, but it's very refined and tastes excellent. I particularly want to mention breakfast – the eggs Benedict were perfectly made, and the braised beef noodles were incredibly authentic. The fresh coconuts also met the high standards you'd expect from a luxury hotel.
However, there was a small hiccup during check-in. When we arrived at our room, we found the door wide open and a man sitting on the sofa! Luckily, a staff member was passing by in the hallway. After hearing what happened, they escorted us to the lobby to clarify the situation. Leo, the lobby manager, sincerely apologized for the hotel's error, and the solution he offered was acceptable. For someone who has stayed in many ultra-luxury hotels worldwide, it's quite unacceptable for a Mandarin Oriental to make such a basic mistake. This was truly a first for me, and I hope the hotel takes this seriously!

It's really impressive! The room itself is quite spacious, well-equipped with all amenities, and thoughtfully laid out. It's clean, tidy, and incredibly comfortable, making for an excellent stay. Downstairs, you'll find Yitian Holiday Plaza, a large and trendy shopping mall with a wide selection of shops and restaurants, which is extremely convenient.

GGuest UserAfter a long and exhausting journey, all I wanted was to check into my room and rest. Unfortunately, upon arrival, no rooms were ready. As I was fretting over the wait, Manager Seven noticed my fatigue and proactively upgraded my room, allowing me to check in quickly and avoid the hassle of waiting.
The room was exceptionally clean, every corner spotless, and the indoor environment was very comfortable. The view outside the window was also stunning. The manager even gave me two complimentary coffee vouchers, which was a thoughtful touch. Manager Seven personally prepared the coffee; it had the perfect sweetness and excellent flavor, truly enjoyable.
Overall, my stay was a perfect 10. The service was warm and attentive, with pleasant surprises at every turn. I genuinely recommend this hotel. Thanks to Manager Seven's considerate care, I will definitely choose this hotel first for my next trip!
