Beach Hotels in Busan

Really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were all really professional and super friendly. The room was very clean, spacious and the view is amazing. Location is great, Taxis were easy to get on Uber. The only negative of our stay was the visit to the sauna, which was an additional charge of 55000won, which is perfectly understandable. However, the sauna was really really old and dirty, to the point of slimy. I was in there for about 20 minutes and left. It was a disappointment. Everything else was great.

The hotel reception has Chinese-speaking staff, which was very helpful. The location is excellent, within walking distance to the commercial street and the Capsule Hotel station. There are also plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The breakfast selection was rich and varied, and the swimming pool and kids' activity room facilities and services were all great.

Facilities: The facilities are very comprehensive. The lobby even offers free bottled water and iced Americanos – can you imagine that in Seoul?! The hotel still lacks toothbrushes and toothpaste. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was good. Environment: It's a few minutes from the subway and bus stops, and very close to Haeundae Beach. Service: No complaints, still excellent. You can even get a tax refund on the room rate.

I had a most confused stay after 2 nights. Feelings are mixed. Pros : Convenient location, big rooms, good air conditioning Cons: 1) Clotted toilet, wet bathroom with dripping taps and overflowing bathtub - See the sign right above toilet rolls? ”Please dispose of tissues in the trash bin”. They meant it. Putting used toilet papers in the bowl after cleaning will CLOT the toilet!!!! It happened with a terrible hissing sound while the toilet bowl was filled to the edge. I had to make urgent call to hotel for a quick fix! After that, had no choice but to leave used tissues in the bin, and the smell was not nice. - Dripping taps - The hot tap begins dripping as soon as you turn the cold tap. - Overflowing bathtub - even with the shower curtain stretched and fully cover the entrance. Water will come out of the bath tub during shower. And you had to deal with a very WET and slippery floor, - cracked toilet bowl - Had to use with care. I feared it might break and hurt. 2) Coin laundry - There are 3 washers and 3 dryers. Unfortunately, all dryers were occupied when I finished washing. I noticed one of them had stopped so I waited 15-20 mins, but the owner didn't show up. Then I called the reception and asked for assistance but was told ”they cannot remove any clothing in the dryer because that will be considered a theft”! That was the most laughable reply I had ever heard from a hotel operator! If the same logic applies, then the hotel operator cannot remove anything in a room left by a guest even with the guest disappearing and skip paying outstanding room fees! I paid around USD475 for 4 room-nights.

Overall, I had a great experience at this hostel. Rooms are soundproof enough that any noise outside didn't disturb me. There weren't many guests when I stayed there, but I had a few friendly chats with some of them. I had to work from midday until midnight and there was no table in the room so I stayed in the common area which had the most amazing view of the sea and the beach. The staff was mostly not there but they were friendly when we interacted and they let me check in early :) Things to improve: - it wasn't the cleanest. I wish I could vacuum myself at least because the floor upon my arrival wasn't very clean. also as soon as I turned on the AC I was starting to cough uncontrollably, almost choking on my coughs so I guess it hasn't been cleaned for a long time - in the evening they turn off all the lights in the common area so it's very dark and you can't see anything. I asked the staff to leave some lights for me because I had to work, but they just turned on one desktop lamp which wasn't doing much. I worked silently and didn't disturb anyone so I wish they could accommodate this easy request

This was my first stay at the Sunset Hotel, and its location is absolutely fantastic. I booked an executive sea-view room, and as soon as I opened the door, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was very spacious, and more importantly, it had a decent-sized balcony with a sea view. While the room felt a little dated, the overall impression was still good and quite clean. Housekeeping was also excellent; my room was spotless every day during my three-day stay. The mini-fridge in the room even had adjustable temperature, which was great for chilling drinks until they were ice-cold – perfect for refreshing sips. I was also surprised that the front desk staff could speak Chinese. The hotel breakfast was very authentic, which I really enjoyed; it seemed to cater more to Korean tastes. There was some variety in the breakfast options over my three-day stay, showing that thought was put into it. The lady providing breakfast service was especially friendly and always greeted us politely. I'd say this hotel is a mid-range option, offering great value for money. The executive sea-view room, in particular, is definitely worth staying in. Highly recommended!

I stayed at this hotel during the BTS concert period, and I was really impressed with the value for money. Unlike many other hotels that jacked up their prices or canceled bookings during the concert rush, this hotel honored our reservation without any issues — which we truly appreciated. A special shout-out to Assistant Manager Tony — he was incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay. We had quite a few packages delivered to the hotel in advance, and he made sure everything was properly received and even helped us carry them up to our room. His service really made a difference. The location is also very convenient — it's close to the Haeundae shopping street, with plenty of shops around, and it's easy to get to the subway or bus stops. The only downside is that the hotel is quite old-fashioned and could use some renovation. If the facilities were updated, it would definitely enhance the guest experience. That said, for budget travelers looking for a reliable and well-located stay, I'd still recommend this place.

Near to the beach and street market. Lots of restaurants around the area. Walking distance to Busan X sky and Hauendae blue line. Amenities were basic. Toothbrush n paste not provided. Overall hotel room was clean with daily makeup.

The  room faced the beach front and so had a great view for sunrise and for the beach. This also was a little bit of an issue as there was a lot of music playing loudly (Korean singing)and so it was not easy to find quiet space. They need to double glaze the windows. I stayed six nights in a large twin queen bed room which was spacious and very clean. The last night, however, there was a storm and so there was a loud tapping sound coming through the a/c unit which meant no sleep- this marred a very good experience. The staff were kind enough to give me an extra hour in the room after check out.  There is no breakfast provided but Cafe 1911 has lovely sandwiches and coffee.  Location is excellent with plenty of eating places around and only about 15 mins walk to train station and buses. Shower was somewhat tepid on first night but did get hotter over subsequent days. Shower pressure was low but this was fine as it meant less water being used and less water on the floor. The shower is  over a bath tub and usually I do not like these as they are slippery and dangerous; however, this bath tub had raised sections in it which provided grip.

We have a little trouble trying to check in as there is no one at the counter. We can only keep trying to check in with the machine. We called their contact and the person cannot help us at all as he cannot speak English well. He couldn’t understand our request. We had to change our check in name to be able to pass the machine and get ourselves check in. The next thing we encountered is that we ran outta toilet paper and no one is at the counter to help us. We had to wait till someone comes in then we are able to get toilet paper. The room is still considered clean. The shower will turn cold when you turn on for sometime. So make sure to take your bath before it turns cold. The lift is spoilt when we arrived so we have to carry our luggage up to the second floor where the reception counter is located. The stairs are narrow and abit dark. At night we can still hear people talking when we trying to sleep. For the price we get, I think we cannot be too picky. Overall the location is good. At night many eateries around till late night. If you need a place to rest, this place is good enough for the price you pay. It is not for picky customers. Not suitable for family.
