The rooms are a standout: stylishly designed with bold, playful décor and thoughtful details that give the space character without compromising on comfort. I especially appreciated the roomy interiors, which offered more space than most urban hotels — a real luxury in Zurich. The layout felt both functional and relaxing, making it easy to settle in whether you’re in town for work or leisure.
The hotel also fits perfectly into the creative energy of the Zürich West district, with a modern vibe that feels authentic rather than over-designed. Highly recommended for travelers looking for something with personality, comfort, and consistently great service.

JJudgeJustinAfter surviving a passport control queue that felt long enough to qualify as a second flight, walking into 25Hours Hotel Zurich was pure bliss. We’d booked a Large room for our first Valentine’s weekend together, and it was a brilliant call - spacious, beautifully presented, and hitting that elusive sweet spot between ”industrial-chic” and ”actually comfortable.”
The showstopper (quite literally) was the glass shower cubicle standing proudly in the centre of the room. It’s a bold design choice that we loved, and for those who aren’t quite ready to share that much with their partner, it’s easily screened off for a bit of privacy. The free mini-bar and designer coffee were lovely surprises that made us feel like VIPs, and the smart TV’s screen-sharing was a total win; mirroring Netflix from our phones was effortless, making our late-night movie plans a breeze.
The staff were truly excellent. We turned up an hour before the official check-in time, but instead of being sent away to wander the streets, the receptionist checked us in immediately with a genuine smile. Furthermore, after we indulged in slightly more red wine than was perhaps wise the night before, the team graciously allowed us a late check-out with zero fuss and no extra charge. That level of empathy is rare, in my experience.
If you want high-quality, spotlessly clean, and wonderfully quirky accommodation in a prime Zurich location, look no further. It even smells fantastic - I’m convinced there’s a designer scent being pumped through the air conditioning. (Note to management: if you sell that fragrance in a bottle, please let me know - I’ll take five!)
We had a highly enjoyable, relaxing stay and we will definitely be back.

HHappygirlisme 1Staff was very friendly when we checked in. Room was a little small but enough for us to rest in for a day. Had a good night sleep and location wise was good. Near to Zurich HB about 10 mins walk from station. We were carrying 2 large suitcases only had 1 challenging point where we needed to carry them up a flight of stairs on the way to the hotel from the train station.

MMiao miaomiaomiaoA very good stay experience. When I first checked in, I was not amazed, and even wanted to complain about the small bed in the triple room. It was a bit casual, right? But after actually checking in, I found that the mattress was very comfortable, the quilt was also very comfortable, and there was a bed-making service at night.
Although the bathroom has a glass door, it was a little awkward when taking a shower, but fortunately it was a family trip, so it was okay.
Here comes the point: I had to catch an early train on the day of check-out, so I didn’t have time to eat breakfast. I went to the front desk to ask if I could pack my breakfast? The front desk professionally took out a service sheet, recorded the room number and the number and content of the packed breakfast, and agreed on the time to pick up the meal in the morning! When I went to pick up the meal in the morning, it was already packed, great 👍🏻!
The location of the hotel is very convenient, the train station and various attractions are within walking distance, suitable for Zurich Citywalk.

TtoseetheworldThe hotel is very convinient and strategic. Located right next to the Zurich HB station and directly above the Polybanh train (a local attraction of a train to go up to the Zurich University). There's money changer, Starbucks and restaurants on the same stretch of building. Opposite the bridge there is a major hypermart Coop where can get affortable meals, mineral water and daily items. The reception staffs were all very friendly. I requested higher floor facing the train track and the staff reserved for me since I indicated on my booking. There is complementary hot water, tea or coffee available at the lobby. It is a MUST place to stay. Just a small note, if handling heavy luggage on your own, just walk towards behind the Starbucks, there is a door right after the Western Union. The entrance here is only 2 steps, compared to the main front which has more than 10 steps.

TTravelshortsWe stayed at ibis Zürich City West for one night while visiting Zurich, and it worked well as a straightforward place to stay for a quick stop in the city.
We had a triple room, which was a good size and worked well for our needs. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable, with enough space for luggage and a good night’s sleep after travelling. It wasn’t luxurious, but it had everything you would expect from an Ibis hotel and felt well maintained.
In terms of location, the hotel is about a 20-minute walk from Zurich’s main train station, which makes it reasonably convenient if you’re arriving by train. The area felt easy to navigate, and although it’s not right in the historic centre, it’s close enough to reach the main parts of the city without too much difficulty.
Our stay was very short — we arrived late in the evening and left early the next morning — so we didn’t get the chance to explore the hotel or use any of the facilities such as the restaurant or breakfast service. For us, the hotel simply served as a comfortable overnight stop.
I would recommend ibis Zürich City West if you’re looking for a clean, reliable hotel for a short stay in Zurich. It’s particularly suitable if you just need somewhere practical to sleep before continuing your journey.

GGuest UserHotel is a 10 min walk from the bus station which connects to the train from the airport. The same bus station that takes to the central train station. It costs about 12CHF to 18CHF to or from train station. Hotel provides free rental bicycles which is very convenient. Facilities are OK. Room size is reasonable.
Be aware that the uncovered glass of the shower may not suitable for all if privacy is important. The room we stayed were extremely hot. While it is only 14°-18° outside, the room temperature is definitely 30°+. It made hard to wear the proper clothing to fit the temperature for the day. No aircon, the only way to cool the room down is to open the side window which leaves no wall from the room to outside of the building. Yes, the only barrier are a couple of metal bars between the desk against the window to outside the building from our ninth floor room. Plus the window can closed by itself, you need to reopen it multiple times if you want the cooler air for a little longer. It’s hard for a hot night sleep.
Breakfast is good and has good variety of the food and drinks. It costs 24CHF p.p. if it is pre-ordered.
If stays in the same room, no, it is not recommended to stay here. It may have other rooms that are not as hot as the one we stayed.

SSouthPhillyPTHotel Montana Zürich is located very close to the main train station. It offers clean and comfortable accommodations. Staff were generally friendly. We stayed for 4 nights. The room we were in, faced Konradstraße and it wasn’t noisy even on a Saturday night. The room size was adequate, however, without air-conditioning. Nespresso Coffee was available to use in-room. Fans and a portable heater were available upon request. The pillows were very thin and not supportive if you have neck/back issues. Morning showers could be an issue with hot water running out (if a lot of people are showering at the same time). The breakfast was adequate. We just hoped that guests staying longer than 3 nights would be allowed to check-in around noon especially for flights arriving in the early morning.

MMarc1Really good modern hotel with spacious rooms. I recommend for the people that decide for this hotel to arrive by car, as it is a bit more remote, the valet parking takes care of the rest. Fantastic restaurant on the 4th floor, in case you don’t want to travel into the city, over all a 5/5 experience!
