Zurich Hotels with Breakfast

Even though the hotel is right next to the train station and our room window looked out onto the tracks, the soundproofing was excellent; we couldn't hear the trains at all. The location is also very convenient. For parking, you'll need to ask the front desk, and they'll guide you. We arrived around dinner time, so we just ate on the first floor. The food was so good that we decided to add breakfast there the next day. After our meal, we walked around and explored the main attractions, all of which are not far from the hotel – perfect for an after-dinner stroll. The room was spacious and comfortable. Although it's a converted industrial building, the attention to detail is impressive, even surpassing some larger hotels. For example, the shower floor is stainless steel, but it's custom-designed with anti-slip strips. There are many other small details like this throughout the hotel. I've stayed in art hotels in Melbourne and Tokyo before, but I believe this one is more deserving of the 'art hotel' title than any of them, as it features an actual artist-in-residence creation area. The only issue we encountered was that the record player in our room was broken, but we discovered it quite late and couldn't be bothered to contact the front desk.

I was highly disappointed with my stay due to several major issues. First, the room description is completely misleading. I booked a room advertised with a ”City View,” but instead, I was given a room facing an inner courtyard with no city view whatsoever. Secondly, despite clearly booking for 2 guests, the room amenities were strictly prepared for just one person. We were only provided with one bath towel, one standard pillow, and one large pillow for two guests. Finally, the blanket was far too small for two guests sharing a Queen-size bed. Even though I am only 167 cm tall, it was impossible to cover my entire body. If I pulled the blanket up to cover my chest, my feet were exposed; if I covered my feet, my chest was exposed. What made it even more unreasonable was that the blanket was so narrow that it could only comfortably cover one person, despite being provided for a Queen-size bed intended for two guests. I would not recommend this property until these basic hospitality issues are addressed. Ich war von meinem Aufenthalt sehr enttäuscht, da es mehrere erhebliche Probleme gab. Erstens war die Zimmerbeschreibung irreführend. Ich habe ein Zimmer mit „City View“ gebucht, erhielt jedoch stattdessen ein Zimmer mit Blick auf einen Innenhof und keinerlei Stadtblick. Zweitens war das Zimmer, obwohl die Buchung eindeutig für zwei Personen vorgenommen wurde, nur für eine Person vorbereitet. Wir erhielten lediglich ein Badetuch, ein normales Kissen und ein großes Kissen für zwei Gäste. Schließlich war die Decke viel zu klein für zwei Personen, die sich ein Queen-Size-Bett teilen. Obwohl ich nur 167 cm groß bin, war es unmöglich, meinen ganzen Körper zuzudecken. Wenn ich die Decke bis zur Brust hochzog, waren meine Füße unbedeckt. Wenn ich meine Füße bedeckte, lag meine Brust frei. Besonders unverständlich war, dass die Decke so schmal war, dass sie praktisch nur für eine Person geeignet war, obwohl sie für ein Queen-Size-Bett für zwei Gäste vorgesehen war. Ich kann diese Unterkunft nicht empfehlen, solange diese grundlegenden Mängel im Service nicht behoben werden.

Its actually quite a walk from Zurich HB if u're travelling with an elderly, but my mother made it. There's actually a bus that you can take to the 'Central' bus stop and walk from there tho googlemap wont route u there coz its relatively a short walk. We stayed here for 1 night on arrival. Very comfortable and friendly staff.

The hotel is very convinient and strategic. Located right next to the Zurich HB station and directly above the Polybanh train (a local attraction of a train to go up to the Zurich University). There's money changer, Starbucks and restaurants on the same stretch of building. Opposite the bridge there is a major hypermart Coop where can get affortable meals, mineral water and daily items. The reception staffs were all very friendly. I requested higher floor facing the train track and the staff reserved for me since I indicated on my booking. There is complementary hot water, tea or coffee available at the lobby. It is a MUST place to stay. Just a small note, if handling heavy luggage on your own, just walk towards behind the Starbucks, there is a door right after the Western Union. The entrance here is only 2 steps, compared to the main front which has more than 10 steps.

Great room which was well-designed with everything we needed. The service was excellent, despite not being staffed or having a reception desk at the property. The self check-in is very easy but unfortunately I had to contact the hotel to receive the information on how to do this as I hadn't received it. Once I'd checked in online I could see that they'd sent me some messages telling me how to do this, but I could only access this information once I'd already checked-in so I'm not sure how I was supposed to see the instructions before then. Thankfully it was easy to contact them and they were very helpful in sending me the information. They were also very speedy in providing extra pillows which we requested when we were there. As well as an improved system for sending the check-in information and additional pillows, extra hangers and hooks/rails to hang towels would be beneficial but these are all minor points. We were very happy with the room and the service we received.

I absolutely do not recommend staying in the east wing. To get there, you have to walk through quite a long tunnel from the main building. The rooms are very small, and the bathroom is super cramped too (if you open the door, you have to close it again to use the toilet because there's no space). The room isn't even big enough for two people to sit down and eat takeout. Furthermore, something I found quite uncomfortable is that the room doesn't have windows that open. I like fresh air, and that makes the atmosphere feel stuffy and dry. When I booked, I didn't check the room type carefully and didn't expect to encounter so many inconveniences. Before checking in, reception told me I could pay extra to switch to a better room, and that there were many large rooms available in the main building that night. (At hotels like InterContinental or Marriott, in situations like this, I usually get a free upgrade). If there are so many rooms available, I don't understand why they don't let you try one without charge. (I'm just giving my opinion; I know the hotel isn't obligated to do so).

Amazing location only a very short walk from the train station. Breakfast continental buffet was lovely and the staff very friendly. No heating in the room but then we found a Dyson air blower in the cupboard which heated the room nicely. We also requested extra pillows which were sent to our room promptly. Lovely staff. A simple hotel at a great price.

Very clean and fully equipped (we really appreciated the coffee machine). Check-in was very straightforward. There was a dishwasher but no dishwasher pods, which was a bit incovenient. There was also a microwave, but the plates and mugs provided were not microwave-safe (the metallic decoration gives off sparks), which is another inconvenience. On our last day I was rushing in the hallway and slipped because the floor was freshly mopped. I sprained my ankle. Maybe this could have been prevented if there had been a sign to draw attention to the wet floor. Despite these, I would recommend!

The location and cleanliness of the room were excellent. However, there doesn't seem to be a permanent staff member at the hotel, so you need a passcode to enter. This means you must complete the web check-in by the day before your arrival to receive the passcode and room number via email from the hotel. It's absolutely essential not to forget to do the self-check-in beforehand.

The hotel is self-check in, Ctrip did not send a reservation number starting with 4, resulting in the need to contact the hotel staff to check in. The location of the hotel is not close to the train station, it takes 10 minutes to walk or take the tram. But at this price, there are not many choices in Zurich, but fortunately the hotel is clean and business trips are ok.
