Anonymous UserThe hotel's location is excellent, right in the city center, next to French Street, the night market, and the Mekong River. All the attractions are within walking distance, and the popular shopping spots are also nearby, with the furthest being about a 10-minute walk. The hotel breakfast is plentiful and delicious, and the noodles are incredibly smooth and tasty. The staff are very service-minded and super friendly. The only minor drawback was the low water pressure in the bathroom and the hairdryer being a bit heavy. Oh, and the toiletries smell really nice!

ย่ำต๊อกAbsolutely impressed! This is definitely one of the hotels I'd return to in Vientiane! 🌟
For this trip, I chose to stay at Souphattra Hotel Vientiane, and I was impressed from the moment I stepped in. What I really need to highlight is the ”service.” The staff here are incredibly attentive, polite, and genuinely lovely (with a million 'L's!). They go above and beyond for guests. Any request or help needed was handled immediately. They also offered excellent and professional advice on various matters, making the stay incredibly smooth.
As for the ”rooms,” they are beautiful. New and spotless in every corner. And the absolute highlight for me was the ”amazing bed.” It was so soft and comfortable, it just swallowed me up! I slept soundly, fully recharging after work and travel. The hotel also has a full range of facilities, delicious food that suited my taste, and plenty of activities to do. It truly caters to both leisure and business travelers.
Finally, the ”location” is prime, being very close to Patuxay (Victory Gate), a major landmark. It's easy to get around and convenient for exploring. This was truly a worthwhile stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Vientiane! 10 out of 10, no deductions!

I stayed at Settha Palace Hotel during my visit to Vientiane, and overall, it was a decent experience with a mix of positives and areas for improvement.
The hotel’s location is definitely one of its biggest strengths. It’s right in the middle of everything, close to the river and within easy reach of the main Songkran celebration areas, which made getting around very convenient.
The property itself has a charming Lao-French colonial style. While it is an older hotel, it has been maintained reasonably well and retains a certain classic character. The staff were excellent, professional, friendly, and always willing to assist, which added positively to the stay.
However, the room was somewhat disappointing. While the minibar was well stocked, basic amenities were missing, not even essentials like a toothbrush or shampoo were provided, which was surprising for a hotel of this category. There were also some maintenance issues: the bathroom had leaking pipes, and the air conditioning wasn’t working initially, though to their credit, they promptly sent a technician to fix it.
The pool area is visually quite pleasant, surrounded by greenery, giving it a relaxing vibe. That said, there were quite a few frogs around the pool, which became a bit irritating. While I personally didn’t mind, some other guests, especially European travelers, were clearly uncomfortable.
Overall, it’s a good property with great location and strong potential, but it could significantly improve with better room maintenance and attention to guest amenities.

Every time I have a layover in Vientiane, Laos, I stay here. The shuttle service is incredibly convenient. The breakfast starting at 6:30 AM also gives me enough time to catch my domestic flight from the airport. I'll definitely keep staying here in the future. This time I got a membership card that I can recycle, but I'm not sure how to use it?

Guest UserOverall, my stay was fantastic. The hotel's location is super convenient with tons of dining options nearby. The room was spotless, cozy, and the bedding was so comfortable, I slept like a baby. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and handled both check-in and check-out very efficiently. Breakfast had a great variety and tasted good too. Definitely great value for money. I'd absolutely choose to stay here again if I get the chance!

Clean and good quality hotel.
On the downside, the air conditioning let a large puddle of water inside when it started to rain outside.
At breakfast, where we arrived half an hour before it was due to end, the hot food had run out.
The picture shows all the protein I could find in the thermal bath. There wasn't even an omelet or eggs available in the open kitchen.

Guest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of the city center, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and dining. I especially love the spacious room types; the overall layout is grand and airy, completely free from the cramped feeling of typical hotels. Staying for several days doesn't feel stifling at all; the cozy atmosphere makes it feel just as comfortable as being at home. The room is well-sectioned with a separate living room and bedroom, and it even thoughtfully includes a small kitchen. Even if I don't use it daily, it shows that the facilities are very complete and well-equipped, providing a truly excellent living experience.

Rama-1Overall the hotel is okay, but the air conditioning in my room was not cool at all. I turned it on at 16°C from 6pm until 10pm and it was still not cool. I called the reception several times and they didn't answer. I had to go down and ask them to come and look. When the staff came up to look, they said they would change the room for me, which was very late and I didn't want to waste time packing my bags and moving rooms, so I didn't change rooms. However, I think that a hotel of this level should check the readiness of the room before letting customers stay. The Wi-Fi is also quite slow. Personally, I am not very impressed with the price I paid.
