Excellent
QQuanquanyuanyuan.The hotel's design style and color scheme are very cohesive and comfortable. The room has a record player, and you can borrow records from downstairs to play. The bathroom is very spacious with gentle lighting. Disposable tableware is provided in the room, which is convenient for taking food to go. Breakfast is also good with many options. Highly, highly recommend!

Ambiance: It's located in an alley off a main street, so it can get a little noisy when cars pass by.

Had some issue with our hotel room key. The staff were very proactive trying to resolve the issue, but it was only till the 2nd day of our stay that was resolved.
There was no compensation for the incovenience caused as we only had 1 phisical key for 4 ppl.
Having said that, the rest of the service was very nice, would be happy to go back again.

BBetty 99What an absolutely wonderful slow-paced trip! I checked out on May 2nd and couldn't find my watch. I was about to give up, but then I mentioned it to the front desk when I was leaving, asking them to keep an eye out and help me search. To my surprise, just before I got into my car, the front desk attendant called to tell me they had found it! I'm so grateful! And also, the late-night snacks were practically a full dinner – all the dishes were fantastic and delicious.

GGuest UserOverall, I had a very good stay and think this hotel deserves a higher rating, especially compared with some higher-star hotels I stayed at in Taiwan. The room was very clean and housekeeping was thorough. I also really appreciated the free coffee (black coffee) and water dispenser. The shared kitchen and dining area are very useful, as you do not have to eat inside your room. Having the garbage disposal downstairs is also great, especially as you do not have to keep food waste in the room.
The air conditioning was strong, the fridge worked well, and there was also a large shared fridge/freezer and dishes available on the ground floor. The washing machine was excellent: 40 TWD for a roughly 50-minute wash and 10 TWD for detergent. Unlike many other hotels, it also had warm-water programs, and my clothes actually smelled fresh afterwards.
The receptionist was very helpful, and being able to contact reception through LINE while outside the hotel was extremely convenient. They responded quickly and were always helpful. The elevator and stairs were also good. I especially appreciated that there is a guest toilet available even after check-out. Also, a hairdryer and slippers were also provided, which was convenient.
A few negatives: the walls are very thin, the bed was too short for me (1.73m), hand soap was missing, and I found it unusual that toilet paper cannot be flushed. Check-in only starts at 4 p.m., which is quite late. One additional thing to note for taller guests: the bathroom ceiling is quite low. The biggest issue was noise from other guests. There was a lot of loud noise after 11 p.m. and late into the night. It would be very helpful if the hotel introduced clear quiet-hour rules and reminded guests at check-in to keep noise down after around 10 p.m. Regardless of where people come from, being considerate of other hotel guests should be basic courtesy, especially late at night. Apart from the noise, this was a very good hotel with excellent facilities (see pictures) and helpful staff.

JJ T H LeeThe location of this hotel is perfect. All the major cultural sites and shopping malls are within walking distance. I highly recommend the guests to buy the locally brewed Tainan beers (in bottles) from the reception. It is going to be an unforgettable experience. These local Tainan beers have a wide range of tastes, and the texture of each one is bolder and better than the conventional Taiwan beer and the imported ones. The hotel also has a neat and cozy common area on the 8/F., and it is comfortable to relax there. I wish the hotel had its own restaurant, but one can always find cafes for breakfast nearby.

AAnonymous UserThey didn’t change the bedsheets before we checked in. When we were about to go to bed, we noticed stains and hair strands on the bedsheets. We called the number provided at Level 1 because there were no staff at the front desk. Thankfully, someone came to replace the bedsheets, but the experience had already made us very uncomfortable.
The only solution the hotel could offer that night was to replace the bedsheets. They did offer to move us to another room the following day after I lodge a complaint to trip.com, but by then we didn’t want to go through the hassle of packing and unpacking everything again.
This wasn’t our first stay at this hotel, but it will definitely be our last.
The hotel’s response to my review was simply that they had changed the bedsheets. However, I have photos and videos clearly showing the stains and hair strands on the bedsheets, so I’ll leave them here for everyone to make their own judgment.
I do want to give credit to Trip.com for their excellent customer service. They followed up closely on our complaint and offered a small amount of compensation, which I appreciated.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is super convenient, it's a great 10-minute walk to the station, and nearby attractions are all within walking distance. The room was new and very clean, but the toilet flush wasn't great; you couldn't throw toilet paper in, and it often took 3 or more flushes to clear everything, which was a bit awkward when staying with friends. The shower head also wasn't very powerful; if you adjusted the temperature to be slightly hotter, the water pressure would become very weak. The hairdryer wasn't strong enough either; even on the highest setting, it took ages to dry my hair.

GGuest UserThe staff were really friendly, and the facilities were great too. We had a mud hot spring on the balcony, so we didn't even have to go downstairs to soak. It made for a very relaxing and enjoyable day.

GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located near National Cheng Kung University. While it doesn't have its own parking, there are plenty of metered spots nearby. For dining and shopping, Kaivuan Road offers many options, including a Pxmart. The room facilities are simple but clean, the bathroom is spacious with excellent water pressure, and the bed is comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The second floor boasts a cozy lounge area with complimentary snacks, biscuits, hot tea, and coffee (both pour-over and machine-made), along with shared utensils. The front desk staff downstairs are friendly. Overall, it's a great value-for-money stay!

GGuest UserThe hotel room was clean and basic for the most part and a few small bugs in the bathroom, but nothing major. 4 bottles of water are included and slippers. Beds are firm and comfortable and pillows are ok. However, if you are allergic to napthelene (moth balls), then stay away as the place is strong smelling of moth balls though the room doesn't have a closet or wardrobe. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The bathroom is very basic without a door rack to hang your clothes and the shower partition is only enough to shield the toilet from splashes and without any sliding doors. Toilet doesn't accept toilet paper, so you'll need to put into the provided waste basket.
The young lady at the counter was generally helpful, but in a basic kind of way. The hotel is conveniently located right across from the Taiwan railway station in ”downtown” kind of area. The lobby looked big, clean, and decent with a ”putting green” off to the side. The room is quiet, though there are people talking loudly as they check in late at night. The lobby “free wifi” connects, but has no internet service. Room wifi is unsecured, so make sure you have a vpn or use it for unimportant things. They also provide a free luggage storage service before you check in so you can sightsee without lugging your luggage around town.
Overall, it’s a good choice for a basic short stay at a very convenient location. The price is also very good. Recommended choice for your next Tainan trip.
