"Great stay! The hostel is very clean and tidied. The kitchenette was usually very quiet. Beds are comfortable and well equipped.  You get a complimentary towel, that can be changed every 3 days.  Decoration style is quite unique as well. The hostel does not seem very social and it’s more a sleeping place. The Bad: Very noisy at night. You can hear the nearby karaokes and parties until late.  I would recommend it!"

"The location is excellent, and the renovated environment is very nice and clean. The window offers a view of the opera house, and the lobby is grand. However, the service is just average, to be frank. I particularly felt a hint of ******; they practically bend over backward for Western guests, but for Asians, it's just so-so. It's not that they actively make things difficult, but the difference in treatment is quite noticeable. Also, the shower and bathtub are combined, so it's probably best not to use the bathtub."

"This was the first booking I made for this trip and the last hotel I checked into. I booked it even before leaving home. Shangri-La's standards are quite high and reliable. The location is excellent, just a few hundred meters' walk from the Harbour Bridge, Circular Quay, and Barangaroo Park. Sydney Opera House is just past Circular Quay. They even upgraded my room, thank you! The hotel's pre-authorization process is standard: the final charge and refund are processed under the original pre-authorization. There's no need for additional steps. The data provided to decision-makers, regarding resident or external guest consumption, influences future business strategies; some domestic hotels have even shifted their focus to F&B. The hotel's introduction should also be rewritten. It needs to clearly state which floor the pool and gym are on, as well as the restaurant's location, operating hours, and cuisine style. Many hotels in China indicate relevant restaurants, fitness centers, etc., next to the elevator floor buttons."

"I’ve stayed in many hostels before and understand you sometimes get what you pay for, but my stay at Wake Up! Sydney Central was disappointing. We booked a private room for three with a shared bathroom. The room had a strong “slept-in” smell which seemed to come from the actual pillows and bedding rather than the sheets. The shared bathrooms were also quite dirty, and during our five-day stay I only saw them cleaned once. The kitchen on the first floor is far too small for the number of guests. Fridges and cupboards were completely full, and with only a few cooktops, sinks and microwaves it’s very difficult to cook or find a place to eat. The hostel is very focused on partying, with events like pizza nights and free drinks in the kitchen area. It’s also quite noisy, with partying and heavy doors slamming day and night, so don’t expect much sleep. Considering how expensive Sydney is, this place still felt overpriced. The building is run down (cracked sinks), beds have thin mattresses, and we even saw a large cockroach one day. Staff simply said, “this is Australia.” There’s also no ramp at the entrance, so heavy luggage has to be carried up the stairs. The only real positive is the great location."

"Hotel Hacienda Redfern is perfect for an action-packed city break if you won’t be spending much time in your room. Although the room is quite small, it’s clean and comfortable, and the soundproofing does a decent job. However, travelers sensitive to noise should note that the nearby railway can be a bit disruptive. The location is excellent, with easy access to Redfern’s lively bar scene, and it’s only a short stroll or bike ride to both Central and Redfern stations."

"Great location, but I wasn't happy with the service. 1. They mixed up the names for luggage storage with the guest who checked in. 2. The Indian staff member who delivered the luggage had a bad attitude. 3. When I called for mineral water, the DND (Do Not Disturb) sign was already on, but the staff still knocked on the door. 4. I asked for two bottles of water and an ice bucket, but they gave me three bottles of water and no ice bucket. On the plus side, the city view from the higher floors is quite nice, and you can go shopping right downstairs. The atmosphere at Level 1, The Place, is also very comfortable."

"Great location! It's in the CBD, a bustling area with plenty of shopping and dining options. Coles supermarket is just across the street, and you can walk to the Opera House, Botanical Garden, and more. It's also very close to QVB, and there are public transport stops nearby to get to places like the University of Sydney. The breakfast is excellent. The room was clean and tidy, and they replenished the fridge daily with a variety of drinks and milk. The staff were friendly. Very satisfied! 👍"

"Easy to reach by public transport, and they also offer a free shuttle (from around 4:30 am), which is the only positive. The bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke, which was unpleasant. The staff were very slow. I arrived at around 11:45 pm, and it took around half an hour to check in. There was only one staff member working, with a few people ahead of me, and the process was very slow. That’s the last thing you want when arriving shortly before midnight and needing to leave again around 4:30 am."

Amazing
TTTWWSWow, what can I say? This hotel was absolutely amazing from the service from the Geo with a warm welcome and our luggage taken away from us at the door to the personalised service that we received at check-in. Walking in the rooms are simply amazing being so elegantly furnished and so clean and spacious. The bathroom had all the amenities you could even imagine and you could easily get stuff and order through the iPad. Their indoor pool and Jim is simply amazing and includes a spa with massage function and there’s also a specialty shower room and sauna room. The breakfast buffet was also a very high standard and you can order à la carte items which were very delicious. There was also a lounge room which is similar to an executive lounge open to all hotel gas and (Office) complimentary tea and alcohol drinks too. I’m definitely return to stay at this hotel and it is absolutely amazing. Thank you very much, Capella Sydney.

XXiaoyouyouA perfect and comfortable stay to conclude our Sydney, Australia trip. Upon landing at Sydney domestic airport, I saw on Google Maps 🗺️ that the hotel wasn't far 🏨, so my son and I walked there, which took about 23 minutes. The moment we opened the door, we were amazed. It felt just like coming home. The front desk staff were also very good and nice. Finding food around the hotel was very convenient, with Northeastern Chinese, Sichuanese restaurants, and Asian supermarkets. A large Australian WWS supermarket was also within a 10-minute walk. Mascot train station is within walking distance, and it's just 5 stops directly to Circular Quay, known as the most beautiful station in the Southern Hemisphere. Our 3-night stay was absolutely fantastic! 🈵

NNaiyougegewuSydney Central YHA is the best-equipped and most pleasant hostel I've ever stayed in! I was in a 4-bed female dorm. There are power outlets right by the bed, facing downwards, so if your adapter isn't tight, it might fall out. However, there are USB and USB-C ports directly, which is super convenient. Each bed also has a reading light and a blackout curtain, offering great privacy. The kitchen and dining area are huge, with a complete array of cooking utensils that are very practical and exceptionally clean; everyone is very considerate. There's a large supermarket, Coles, right near the hostel, making it easy to buy groceries. During my stay, I cooked for myself every day – it was delicious, hygienic, and affordable. The best part is its location right by Central Station. Trains, buses, and all kinds of transport converge here, offering excellent connectivity and making it incredibly convenient to get anywhere. Accessing the lifts, rooms, and communal bathrooms all require card access, ensuring top-notch security.

WWuji❤️yingThis hotel is quite central. The parking entrance is a bit tricky; it's the leftmost lane, actually the entrance to the World Square car park. This setup is different from traditional car park entrances in China, which caused us to miss it and drive around the city center in circles. The hotel's dedicated parking is on level 3 (which is actually underground). When you enter the car park, you go down from levels 7, 6, 5, and so on. If you're driving to the hotel, you need to go to level 3. Be sure to follow the signs to the hotel's parking level on level 3 (different hotels use different levels for their private parking, so don't get confused). Once you've parked on level 3 in the hotel's dedicated parking, there's an elevator right next to it that takes you directly to the hotel's front desk on the L floor. Parking is expensive: AUD 60 for a weekend day and AUD 70 on weekdays. You pay by scanning a QR code. I hope this helps anyone driving themselves. Everything else was fine. Parking in Sydney is really, really expensive if you're driving yourself. 😂

Ggu****The hotel's location is excellent. Within a 5 to 10-minute walk, you can reach Chinatown, Paddy's Market, Darling Square, Darling Harbour, and Central Station. The room size was adequate, and it was clean and tidy upon arrival, with daily housekeeping being prompt and thorough. The front desk service was also on point. However, there are a few minor drawbacks: 1. The lighting in the lobby area isn't great; it's generally too dim and looks like it needs a refurbishment. Hopefully, they'll update it soon. 2. We believe our room was in the newer extension of the hotel. There's a noticeable difference in floor levels between the two buildings, and the connection between them is entirely stairs, which is really inconvenient when you have luggage. This also needs an update. 3. The flooring under the carpet in our room was bulging in places and requires maintenance.

GGuest UserOK for one night. The hotel is above the pub, which is also very busy in the afternoon. There is also live music there on Sundays until around 9 p.m. Everything is perfectly fine, unless you have room 10 next to the washing machine/dryer and sleep next to the ventilation. Even though drying and washing is not allowed after 9 p.m., it was very annoying. The hotel rooms face the back, so in the morning you also have the noise from the loading area of the supermarket. On the positive side, the room was in a modern condition and the staff were all very nice. The beach is a ten-minute walk away.

GGuest UserWe had a brilliant experience at the Langham for our wedding anniversary! I forgot how much I like the Langham brand. From the pink ribbon around the toilet paper to the sleep ammenities (we asked for the sleep pillow mist and the room diffuser) to the suggested third eye massage technique and the chamomile tea before bedtime, we felt totally pampered and taken care of. Reservation was made for our celebratory dinner with fine steak dinner over the fantastic view of the Opera House. In room breakfast was delivered on time and the quantity copious. The Spanish bell boy was helpful and friendly. We were also upgraded to a harbour view room to our delight. Location was convenient to walk either to Barangaroo or the Rocks, for ferry ride or metro. Very pleased to have chosen The Langham, it was absolutely the right decision for us!
