Amazing
JJiditiebiechaduiThe room type with hot springs is excellent, with a traditional style; it is very clean, large and smart, and the terrace overlooks the beautiful snow scenery; the public bath is basically empty before 17:30, and toiletries are available, so you can enjoy the snow scenery while taking a bath.
The staff will wait for guests to check in at the gate, and the language communication is smooth, and there is Chinese service (it depends on the working hours, not always available). The luggage will be transported to the room, and you don’t have to check in by yourself. You will be guided to the lobby to rest for a while, and the staff will handle it.
The drinks in the lobby are free, and roasted marshmallows and butter potatoes are also unlimited. Some board games are also provided for entertainment. Next to it is the moiwa ski resort, a five-minute drive away. After returning, you can massage the massage chair in the room and then take a beautiful bath. It is very comfortable~
The dining time in the morning and evening will also be asked in advance, and the daily meals will not be repeated, which feels like opening a blind box. The drinks in the brown long book can be enjoyed at will. It is recommended to try the local white wine, which is sweet after the entrance, and people like me who don’t drink often can accept it. The next day, I was lucky enough to be seated by the window, where I could enjoy the snow scenery while eating. 👍
Overall, it is a very good resort with a slow pace. If you have money, you can book it at will, or it is also a good choice to come during the off-season. I hope to see you next spring and summer~
ZZhuqiang | To B CGORight outside the door are the ticket office and gondola for Niseko Village ski resort – incredibly convenient! There's also a shuttle bus to the other three resorts. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and you can even see Mount Yotei from there! The lobby on the first floor has a small supermarket, hot springs, and ski storage. The overall service is top-notch, truly exceptional! Plus, the staff speak English, Chinese, and Japanese, so there are no communication worries at all. And you definitely have to try the dinner buffet on the second floor; it's fantastic. If you turn left when you go out, there's a small commercial area called Niseko-Yo where you can eat and buy ski gear.
WwaynethepaintTrip.com has always been my go to for travel bookings. Similarly this time to Niseko, decided to extend for an additional week and MyEcolodge came up in the search.
I have to mention the checkin was seamless, but what I thought i booked, vastly differ from what was allocated for me. I thought what i booked was a room to myself however it turns out as a shared room. Its not a big deal but the feeling of misinterpretation leaves an awful taste.
(Trip.com CS stepped in and helped to clarify things but theres nothing that could be done. peak season, and everywhere else is fully booked or without paying a premium)
That said, the stay was good. MyEcolodge sits in a very convenient location just couple stops from Hirafu. Theres various buses including free shutters so thats really an ease off the mind)
7eleven, a small cafe, hotpot/shabushabu restaurant just sits across from you. The hostel also has their own cafeteria though ive never eaten there (food looks good though).
They have a huge storage room for your gears, pretty safe so no worries. pantry, laundry room, washroom are pretty spacious and kept tidy.
The room itself is fine, nothing to wow about. nothing to complain either. Towels are free and clean. Everything else you need to pay.
Overall good stay.
Pray hard you get nice room mates if youre sharing!
GGuest UserIn many aspects, this hotel might pass for a domestic Chinese four-star. But at your Japanese four-star price point, does it really deliver? This 'master-designed' hotel simply features heavy drapes in the lobby, while the guest room area consists of narrow corridors, bare white walls adorned with a few wooden panels, and a massive light bulb dangling from the ceiling. What kind of aesthetic is this even supposed to be?
The guest room was even more amusing: a triple room. We paid an extra 8,000 JPY for our child, yet there was no additional bed, quilt, or pillow provided. I had to ask for them specifically after checking in. The open-plan vanity mirror directly faced the bed. To the left, a glass partition enclosed the shower, and to the right, a wooden partition housed the toilet. There was a fridge and two bottles of water, but no laundry facilities.
The main event, the so-called 'private onsen,' turned out to be just a small wooden tub awkwardly set up on the balcony. You had to step out of the room onto the balcony to access it, and beyond the tub was a wire mesh fence. Your balcony overlooks a busy street with constant foot traffic. Is this 'private onsen' design some kind of performance art? No one seemed to use it, and it certainly wasn't cleaned; by the next morning, it was noticeably filthy.
Oh, and let's not forget the laughably meager breakfast. I'm too exhausted to go into further detail, but I'm truly curious how much Ctrip was paid to bury negative reviews for this place.
NNimingshubingThis hotel has left the deepest impression on me during my travels in Hokkaido. The Dongye Lake bus stopped at 8:30, making it difficult to hail a taxi, but the front desk staff was enthusiastic and helped us arrive at the hotel smoothly. The hotel's hot springs are very distinctive, with rooms in the style of tatami, clean and tidy, and beautiful scenery, including views of Lake Toya. Highly recommended for check-in, excellent value for money. Happy New Year!🎆
MMattSchmattSuper apartment in great location. 2 large bedrooms with great storage, 2 good sized baths, large living room with cooking area and all you would need for self-catering for a family. Seicomart and Lawson just a short walk away. Convenient with parking in the basement. Everything in great condition and well cleaned. Forgot a few things in the fridge and the staff collected it and out it in the lobby fridge for us to pick up later, great service thank you! Will definitely have this place high on the list for next visit to Hirafu 👍🏼
LLeong FamilyThe staff are not knowledgeable on 3rd party ski hire or ski school. We returned the equipment 1 day earlier and the staff said ok and asked if we are fine with 50% refund. We said yes. The next day they said they never said this.....no English, and don't ask questions, they will not be able to answer. They are well mannered and kind, just no direction and very messy.
Bus schedule is also confusing, staff are not clear and busses don't often come without calling and reminding. They say it is due to weather condition, but it wasn't.
You need to book set menu dinners at their one and only restaurant, 3 days in advance. We missed the Christmas set dinner, and even though on the phone to reserve the table, we asked for set menu, they didn't decline and they didn't say we needed 3 day advance notice. So we went and ordered small alacarte meals. Small dishes but were absolutely delicious.
Hot Spring facility is excellent. Rooms are clean and the layout is fantastic. They have a washing machine that dries as well. Bring your own laundry detergent
But I must give 100% credit to them as we left our bag at the lobby and they arranged to send it to Tokyo for us and called the receiving hotel as well,.
LLeliouThe hotel is very close to the Grand HIRAFU base (5 mins walk), but doesn’t have a direct access to the slopes. The staff was extremely nice and spoke English. Our highlights were the onsen and fireplace in the common area after a thrilling day of powder. We liked the breakfast, good diversity and fresh items every morning. The yogurt was amazing! This place has an old chalet charm, so the rooms won’t be the most up to date and the wifi is hard to get. We would recommend for an authentic atmosphere close to the slopes and reasonably priced :). The first picture is from our room, mount Yotei was being shy but on a clear day that would be quite a view!!
VViktoriia KWe had a wonderful stay at Niseko Grand Hotel! My friend and I truly enjoyed our time there. One of the highlights was definitely the hotel's own hot springs — absolutely amazing. There are both female-only and mixed-gender areas, which was a great option to have.
The staff was incredibly friendly and always eager to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality really made us feel welcome. In fact, staying here felt more like being at a countryside residence than at a hotel — warm, peaceful, and cozy, just like home. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Niseko — and we hope we will!
We stayed in a traditional Japanese-style room, which made the experience even more special. Yukata and yuami (bathing suit) were also provided.
The hotel also offers free shuttle buses to the ski slopes regularly, which made it super convenient for us to enjoy the mountains. On the day of our departure, the hotel’s driver kindly took us to the nearest train station.
Another standout was the hotel’s restaurant. Breakfast was included in our stay, and we also chose to have dinner there a few times. Every dish we tried was delicious and beautifully prepared. The buffet offered a wide variety of both Asian and Western cuisine, and the selection was impressive for both breakfast and dinner.
We also tried eating out at a couple of other restaurants in Niseko, but we both agreed that the hotel’s restaurant was by far the best for us.
Highly recommend this place!
