STAFF APPRECIATION: Simply wonderful. I encountered many staff members during my stay, working in the hotel itself, the various cafes and restaurants, and on the beach. Every single one was professional and kind and so very warm. Several of the young people working there also spoke English, which was an unexpected pleasure and convenience for which I was grateful. However, I owe a special thanks to the lovely little sisters at the front desk, Catie and Xiao Kue. Especially Catie. This sweet young woman took exceptional care of me during my stay, seeing to every need, answering every question (in English, no less), and patiently guiding my drivers to the location when I arrived or chose to go out and explore. I am getting older now and often require clear instructions and visual aids. 😅 She kindly offered both. 非常感谢。🙏 HOTEL REVIEW: There are multiple warnings given before and during the stay about ongoing construction next door, but it had minimal impact on my stay and, if you're out exploring and playing, you won't even notice it by the time you return in the evening. As promised, it started at breakfast time and concluded by 6pm in the evening around dinner time every day. I choose this hotel deliberately because, while a little more expensive than its competitors and a bit off the beaten path, it seemed to offer more convenience and privacy. I was so relieved to see that this was true. Their beach is small, but well-maintained and private, which meant no crowd and plenty of opportunity to take people-free pictures and simply sit and enjoy the sights and sounds of the sea. There was also no shortage of dining options on the resort itself as well as nearby. Several fun, beautiful places to visit are also located a short drive away. However, if you're looking for a retreat, a place to simply rest and be close to nature, away from crowds, this place offers that as well. It was a welcome respite. I saw couple, families with children, and even a few other foreign guests all enjoying their time here. 🏖 Because I was on a budget this time, I chose the lowest priced room and was prepared to sacrifice my view of the sea. Unexpectedly, I didn't have to. This was a very happy surprise. ☺️ Though, I'll definitely try and splurge on a room on a higher floor next time as being near the entrance could sometimes be a little loud when guests arrived. Overall, I am completely satisfied with my time here and hope to return someday. TLDR; Wonderful, attentive staff; private, convenient location; stunning views; and several dining options all offer a very pleasant, worry-free getaway during peak season. Well worth the price and the journey. Every kind of traveler will find something to enjoy here.

East Coast B&B really takes service to the next level. They offer a shuttle service, exquisite afternoon tea, complimentary drinks at the neighboring bar, free mini-bar items, and even help with taking beautiful photos. Plus, there's a farewell gift upon check-out – it's just one surprise after another! The staff are polite and attentive, making you feel right at home. The rooms are incredibly beautiful and spacious, perfect for Instagram-worthy shots. They use high-quality brands for everything from tissues and bottled water to toothpaste. The lighting, sound system, and bathtub are also fantastic, creating a truly immersive vacation vibe!

The room offers a superb sea view; you can literally lie in bed and gaze at the ocean. The guesthouse environment is clean, hygienic, and quiet. They provide complimentary breakfast with both Chinese and Western options, and the food tastes great. The room's sound system is absolutely fantastic. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Overall, the stay was an excellent experience. I'd be doing myself a disservice not to give it a perfect score. I will definitely be back next time!

The hygiene details were well-executed, and the toiletries were complete. The stay felt warm and comfortable, and the front desk service was excellent, with a particularly pleasant tone. 👍 We found the location accurately right away.

The decor is that minimalist yet luxurious style, with warm lighting and wooden tones creating an amazing ambiance. No need for filters when taking photos 📸~ The room was super spacious! The bedding was so soft and fluffy, like sleeping on a cloud ☁️. I fell into a deep sleep in 3 seconds 💤, and woke up the next day with no backaches or sore muscles – a dream come true for a working professional! 🙌 As someone who pays attention to details, I absolutely loved it! 👏 The bathroom had a super clean wet and dry separation, and the toiletries had a citrus scent 🍊. After washing my hair, it was so smooth I could film a commercial! Plus, there were smart curtains and Xiaodu voice control – just say ”turn on the lights” and the whole room brightens up. Full of tech! 💡 What touched me the most was the service!! The front desk lady was as gentle as a best friend 👭, proactively asking if I needed a specific pillow type and even sending welcome fruits 🍇! I left my charger when checking out, and they immediately helped me retrieve it after I called. Such a sense of security! ❤️ The price was also incredibly reasonable! 💰 Downtown location + these amenities, the value for money is just unbeatable!! Seriously unearthed a hidden gem! The environment is incredibly healing; opening the window reveals stunning views of green mountains and trees. The air is fresh, it's wonderfully quiet, and it's so relaxing to be away from the city hustle. The room was clean and tidy, decorated warmly and elegantly, and the bedding was super comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The host was very warm, easygoing, and provided thoughtful, meticulous service with great attention to detail. The surrounding scenery is absolutely breathtaking, perfect for photos. Dining and staying here were both very pleasant, and it offers excellent value for money. I'll definitely come back for my next vacation and highly recommend it to everyone!

Overall, it was decent. The room environment was fine, but the location isn't ideal for families with strollers, a bit of a hassle. The service was very good. I accidentally left my earphones, and the staff found them and mailed them back to me. Their service attitude deserves a big thumbs up! We didn't get to take the scheduled photos, which was a bit disappointing as we missed out on a family portrait. While the sea here didn't have the rumored 'glassy' effect, it was at least clean and suitable for kids to play in, which I really liked.

The hotel check-in is very tricky. You have to find the door entry 2 to enter and a security guard will register you. After that go to find room 901 where there is a reception lady help you to check in. Even though location is very close to mrt, going to city with MRT still took around 30 minit to reach 老街. The MRT is usually crowded and you have to stand 30 minutes. Toilet is relatively small but clean. Got convenience store at downstairs. The hotel got washing machine. It is basically no dobi nearby.

Currently having construction at opposite, view should be better after that. Wanted to take night view photo of Yuncheng office building unfortunately the lighting was not turned on.

I recently stayed at the Dongyuan Hotel with my brothers for a business trip, and overall, it is a highly practical choice if you know what to expect. The room itself was good and perfectly comfortable for our needs, but the absolute best part of this hotel is its prime location. Being situated right in the Huaqiangbei area is incredible, especially if you need quick access to the electronics and tech hubs. It is incredibly convenient for navigating Shenzhen, as you are just a short walk away from the Hongling South Subway Station. Getting to the hotel was also fairly straightforward by taking the Airport Express Bus directly to the Huaqiangbei stop. Another major positive is their flexible timing. They offer early check-in starting at 10:00 AM and a late check-out up to 2:00 PM, which is a massive help when you are trying to coordinate business meetings or odd flight times. However, there is one major drawback that you must be prepared for: the hotel is located on the 3rd floor of No. 16 Bading Street, and there is absolutely no elevator in the building. Having to use the stairs every day, especially while hauling heavy business luggage up and down, was a significant hassle. Additionally, keep in mind that this is a localized, no-frills setup. There is no on-site parking available, and the property lacks a major restaurant (though you are in a bustling neighborhood with plenty of food options right outside). Bottom line: If you are traveling light, can handle the stairs, and want a budget-friendly base right in the middle of the action, this hotel's location cannot be beaten. But if you have heavy bags, look elsewhere.
