"Several friends highly recommended we stay here if we were visiting Longmen Grottoes. I'm glad I listened to their advice, because their taste is excellent! The hotel is located on East Mountain, facing the Longmen Grottoes on West Mountain across the river. You can even see some of the grottoes from the rooftop terrace of Building 5. The hotel is right next to Xiangshan Temple and surrounds Bai Garden, offering beautiful scenery at every turn.
The service is also excellent. You can book an electric shuttle at the front desk to take you to the East Gate of the Grottoes, then walk or take another shuttle to the Northwest Gate ticket office. After exploring the Grottoes and Bai Garden, it's just a short walk back to the hotel. The room type we booked even included a free send-off service to the station, which was very convenient.
While the decor might be a little dated, the facilities are complete. It's clean and hygienic, with welcome fruit and complimentary snacks and drinks. The breakfast offers a wide variety of dishes, all rich and delicious, though the coffee was really not good, haha. We had lunch in the banquet hall, using a BOGO deal from Ctrip for two people, and the portion sizes were incredibly generous and tasty!
Upon check-in, we received a voucher for the tea room on the upper floor's terrace. Enjoying tea and a book there was incredibly pleasant! The lady working at the tea room provided amazing service.
Overall, I highly recommend it!"
