"Traveling with my parents and family, the five of us stayed in a three-bedroom lake view suite in Building 3. Overall, it was a great experience. The balcony was huge, but unfortunately, the weather wasn't on our side – it rained for a day and a half out of the two nights we stayed. However, it did give us a taste of the misty江南 (Jiangnan) feel. If I had to pick out some cons, it's that the rooms are over a decade old, so the furniture is a bit dated, and the chair in the master bedroom wasn't very comfortable. The shower water temperature was also a bit inconsistent, fluctuating between hot and cold, though that's less of an issue in summer. All in all, both my parents and the kids were very satisfied. The hotel service was also good; our requests were met, and the shuttle bus was quick to respond. We even received a small local specialty gift upon check-out. The independent restaurant outside Building 3 also served good food. Everyone was happy with this trip, apart from the weather."

"Traveling with my parents and a preschooler, it was more convenient for the four of us to stay together, so I specifically booked a suite. It had a super large 3-meter bed and a sofa bed, which perfectly met my needs. Our butler, Anne, was incredibly thoughtful; as soon as we entered the room, we found the beds already made. Throughout our stay, she was always responsive to our requests. Besides the daily fruit, my child wanted more fruit, and to let them experience robot delivery, Anne specially sent a big bunch of grapes – truly touching! The kids' club was huge and impressive, with many staff members constantly supervising, ensuring the little one had a blast. The Chinese restaurant had delicious food; we had three different dinners there (steamed fish, fish head soup, braised dishes, chopped chili fish...) and never repeated a dish. Anne's attentiveness throughout our stay, combined with the beautiful scenery of Qiandao Lake, truly made it an all-around wonderful experience. We stayed for four nights, a deep dive into Qiandao Lake, and though the beautiful scenery and delicious food left us wanting more, we will definitely be back in autumn!"

"My stay at voco Shimao Sunshine Lake Resort Qiandao Lake was absolutely perfect! The hotel is situated on a peninsula, offering an elegant and tranquil environment. Our room was spotlessly clean, and the attention to hygiene details was impeccable. The direct, first-line lake view of Qiandao Lake is breathtaking – the water and sky merge into one, creating an expansive and unbeatable vista. There are amazing viewing spots everywhere. A special shout-out to the hotel's innovative travel photography service. The photographer was incredibly professional, excellent at finding the right angles and guiding poses. They even managed to capture stunning, high-quality shots against the light, preserving so many wonderful moments. All the staff were incredibly attentive and thoughtful, treating guests with warmth and courtesy. The entire experience was fantastic. This is definitely my top choice for a vacation in Qiandao Lake, highly recommended!"

"The B&B is quite large and spacious. You can see from the details of the room that the owner has maintained it carefully. It is very clean. There are also scented tea and coffee machines prepared for guests in the lobby. We stayed for two days and the breakfasts prepared were different. We had two dinners at the B&B. The cooking skills were well received by my family. The fish head soup is a must-order and it tastes very good. The proprietress and the boss are very enthusiastic and the service is very good. I really felt at home. It was a very warm and satisfying trip."

"Pros:
1. The lake view room offers truly stunning scenery.
2. The air conditioning in the room doesn't blow directly, and the soundproofing from the balcony glass windows is excellent. You can't hear the noise from the pool downstairs, and the room's blackout curtains are fantastic for sleeping.
3. The balcony provides good privacy, so you can even sunbathe there, haha.
4. Room service is very responsive, delivering takeout and other items quickly. They also provide disposable bathtub liners, so you can enjoy a bath with peace of mind.
5. The breakfast selection is rich and varied.
Cons:
1. The room did have a noticeable musty smell, quite strong, which I suspect came from the air conditioning or the carpet. I noticed the smell, like an old house, during both nights I stayed.
2. The concierge's service awareness is rather weak; they don't proactively open doors or help with luggage for guests who appear to need assistance.
3. The quality of the breakfast ingredients is mediocre. The Chinese options were decent, but the Western pastries were poor quality and very powdery."

"This trip, I was traveling with my elderly parents and my child. After a lot of comparison, I chose the Hilton, and it proved to be the right decision! Our stay in Qiandao Lake was made even more warm and comfortable thanks to the enthusiastic service from our butler, Luby. This lovely young lady helped us with restaurant recommendations, gave us an overview of the water park, and even booked our buffet seats. On the morning of check-out, we had to rush for our train and couldn't have breakfast, so she packed us a simple breakfast to eat on the way. She truly was incredibly accommodating! The hotel's hygiene was excellent, and the environment was grand. Overall, this vacation felt fantastic! I was also very happy with the hotel's travel photography."

The hotel is surrounded by the lake on three sides, with a wide lake and vast expanse of blue. The main hotel is mainly in the traditional slope roof style of Jiangsu and Zhejiang with innovative visual elements, and the split hotel is mainly in French style with Italian elements. The hotel is built on the mountain, gradually rising from north to south to form a three-level terrace, allowing guests to enjoy the unique beauty of Qiandao Lake. The hotel is 6 stories high. Wenguangxuan Chinese Restaurant, indoor swimming pool, gym, and children's playground are located on the first floor of the hotel. The chess and card room and table tennis room are located on the second floor of the hotel. The front desk reception, lobby, Yuntian Pavilion Cafe, and conference area are located on the third floor of the hotel. The guest rooms are distributed on the third, fifth, and sixth floors.There are two large and small swimming pools and a children's playground outdoors, and a constant temperature swimming pool indoors. You can play in the water with your children, or sit by the lake and blow the wind, which is very comfortable.The hotel has Chinese and Western restaurants with more than 300 seats; 7 meeting rooms of different sizes, including a multi-functional hall of about 500 square meters, which can accommodate 400 people for meetings and meals at the same time; there is also a professionally equipped fitness center, billiard room, chess and card room, etc. for you to experience.
"Room: The room was quite spacious, but the facilities looked a bit dated, and the decor style was a bit old-fashioned. The air conditioning was a bit noisy, but tolerable.
Breakfast: Breakfast was decent, especially the outdoor balcony tables where you could enjoy the beautiful scenery while dining. The breakfast didn't change much over the two days we were there, but it offered both Western and Chinese options, as well as some local Qiandao Lake snacks.
Pool: The indoor pool water temperature was good, and there were very few people swimming, so it felt quite clean.
Location: The hotel's location is excellent, situated on a peninsula in the central lake area. Fish Street is not far away, offering a wide variety of food options, and food delivery is also very convenient. Although the prices increased quite a bit due to the May Day holiday, I would still highly recommend it overall."
