Outstanding
GGuest UserWe have a very enjoyable stay at the hotel. The services provided by Bruno at the concierge before , during and after our stay have been top notch. He helped us arrange the private vehicle to visit the different tourist spots prior to our arrival and we managed to maximise our 2 days one night stay visiting the souvenir shops, giraffe park and the national park immediately on arrival and the relaxing hotel massage services prior to dinner.
He also assisted us to book the 3 different restaurants and the food were all to our satisfaction.
Thanks again to Bruno for his efficient and attentive service. Our stay could not be better!
MMavisheeheelauAfter 15 days traveling across Kenya, I can confidently say that Purple Sun Hotel stands out as one of the best in terms of value, facilities, and service.
The shower features a handheld option (a rare but appreciated detail), and the staff are exceptionally friendly and warm.
What makes it even better is its location — right next to Chinatown — which means my craving for Asian food was perfectly satisfied. Highly recommended!
YYao bukeyanThis is a relatively new and luxurious hotel in Nairobi. Security is very strict, with security personnel questioning guests at the entrance, dogs checking for explosives, and even armed security personnel checking bags in the lobby. However, there's no need to worry about security; it's purely a government requirement. The staff at the hotel are very nice, from the front desk to the concierge and the restaurant. Everyone is friendly and willing to help with any questions.
The hotel has comprehensive facilities, including table tennis, darts, a gym, and an outdoor swimming pool. The restaurant offers a rich breakfast and excellent coffee.
The hotel's location isn't very central, so there are no restaurants nearby. You can either dine at the hotel or take an Uber to the nearby village market, which offers both food and shopping. It's very convenient.
GGuest UserThis is a real treasure of a place! The atmosphere is old world charm, the food is fabulous at TATU. The bar is excellent with service and attentiveness to you needs. The gift shop is stellar for some nice jewelry. The facilities are clean as a whistle as they say...breakfast was outstanding with so many choices. The work out facilities are just super great, and the pool is heated. Ok, lastly the ambiance of colonial Africa just fills the air, from the art, to the breezes flowing freely through this wonderful hotel!
JJIANThe hotel is located on the outskirts of Nairobi and the surroundings are good. There is a shopping mall behind, there is also shopping village in the hotel, shopping is very convenient. The hotel occupies a large area, with large green areas, and there are water and twists and turns, which is indeed a veritable park hotel. The parking lot is very convenient for self-driving. Many of the swimming pools are suitable for parents and children. There are many restaurants for you to taste the cuisine of various countries. Being the first stop or the last stop to arrive in Kenya gives you a comfortable experience.
SSammyjake95Nice hotel. More upmarket than others. Very clean and offers a good service. I would recommend they do some more maintenance however, especially with the men’s steam room. It’s quite run down.
MMaz686We checked in after arriving in Nairobi. The staff at hotel were really polite especially at the front desk. We were able to exchange money which was great and saved us the hassle of searching for another place.
We wanted to go to the Masai Market and asked the concierge how much it would cost for them to organise a car. It was extremely overpriced at $40 for a return journey. We ended up downloading the uber app and paid around $8 dollars for a return trip! Definitely useful to download Uber!
The room was clean enough and we had a great night's sleep as we were shattered from the journey.
GGuest UserThe location is convenient. It is very convenient to call Uber. You can choose to start at Boma Hospitality college, which is a hotel management college. It is a business affiliated to the hotel group. You can see many uniformed students passing through it every day.
DDiaosilaoyeThe facilities are a bit old, a bit... I'm honest, I won't say much. It's very convenient to buy things and eat around. The accommodation and breakfast are really average.
