"I was very tired after the flight and arrived at an inconvenient time for the usual hotel check-in. I wrote to the owner, and he agreed to check me in from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. so I could rest well before my next flight. The hotel owner picked me up from the airport and drove me back very quickly. I highly recommend it for a relaxing stay during a long layover."

3320482****Absolutely stunning Great Wall views!
I could wake up early and watch the Great Wall bathed in the morning light right from my room. In the evenings, we'd stargaze from the balcony, though the weather wasn't ideal during our stay.
The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was super comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water – perfect for a relaxing hot shower after hiking the Great Wall! The room also had a projector and a bean bag chair, so if you didn't feel like going out, you could just curl up on the sofa and watch a few movies, which was incredibly relaxing.
The guesthouse's location is superb, just a 3-minute walk to Shuiguan Great Wall.
The guesthouse breakfast was also delicious, with a well-balanced spread of vegetable salad, sausages, red bean buns, and millet porridge!
There's a cafe on the ground floor of the guesthouse, home to three adorable Corgis that my child would pet every time we went in or out.
This time, we also tried the nearby Shimao Restaurant and Ahan Thai. Shimao serves home-style dishes that are hearty and delicious, offering great value. Ahan Thai has a very Southeast Asian decor, perfect for photos, and the food exceeded expectations.
Best of all, the guesthouse is pet-friendly! Our dog had a comfortable stay and enjoyed a perfect vacation with us. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for beautiful scenery and a peaceful escape.

__WeChat290002****Undoubtedly a divine hotel! The location is quiet yet central, with all amenities nearby without being noisy. The room decor is incredibly cozy, feeling like a temporary home. The hygiene is meticulously maintained; even the washbasin had no water stains. The bedding is soft and skin-friendly, making you never want to get up once you lie down. I slept soundly until dawn without any disturbance. The staff were all smiles throughout, making check-in and check-out quick with no waiting, and they even offered to help with luggage. Excellent value for money. It's already on my list of regular stays and highly recommended to anyone visiting this city!

GGuest UserThe apartment was overall very good! I didn't expect it to be good tbh. If you don't know any chinese, it is recommended to download wechat in advance to communicate better. The owner was so kind and nice. They answered all of my questions despite the time. The location is good, too. There's a convenience store near the lobby. I think less than a 100-meter walk there's like a small supermarket. If you like to walk, around 700 meters there's like a luxury shopping lot. Around 600 meters, there's a train station. It may be an apartment, but there's no utensils or anything to cook on. You gotta bring your own or buy. I dont know if you can ask the owner because we brought our own. The guards at the lobby are also nice. I love it. Will definitely come again when I have the chance.

GGuest UserThis time I was traveling alone and encountering such a hotel really added a lot to my trip. From the moment you step into the hotel, you feel the meticulous service. The front desk staff were warm and friendly, and the check-in process was efficient and fast. They also introduced me to the surrounding attractions and food. After entering the room, the first impression is that it is clean and tidy. The bed was made meticulously, the sheets and quilts were immaculately white, and exuded a fresh smell. The floor is spotless and there is no dust or debris in the corners. The bathroom facilities are also very clean, the toiletries are neatly placed, the drainage in the shower room is smooth, and there is no water stain left. During my stay, I encountered some minor problems, such as the air conditioning temperature adjustment in the room was not very sensitive. When I reported it to the front desk, the maintenance staff rushed to the room quickly, quickly solved the problem, and were friendly and patiently explained to me the possible causes of the problem, which made me feel very at ease. In addition, the hotel's health services are also worthy of praise. Staff will clean the room on time every day, change towels and replenish toiletries. The public areas are also kept in a good state of cleanliness, which makes people feel happy. Overall, I am very satisfied with this stay. The hotel not only performs well in terms of service, but also impeccable in terms of hygiene. The cleanliness of the room provided me with a comfortable resting environment, and the efficient and responsible attitude of the staff helped me solve the problems I encountered, making me feel the warmth of home during my trip. If I have the opportunity to travel again in the future, this hotel will definitely be my first choice.
MM303531****This hotel is great for a weekend getaway with kids. Juyongguan Great Wall and Shuiguan Great Wall are nearby, with Shuiguan Great Wall being closer and less crowded, though a bit challenging to climb. The hotel is nestled in the mountains, offering a pleasant environment with individual villas dotted up the hillside. Our room was quite far, so we needed to drive to the lobby and restaurant.
The hotel also offers many family-friendly activities. On our second morning, we participated in a valley hike, which was essentially a mountain climb – it requires some stamina.
There were also quite a few downsides. Given how spread out the rooms are and how far they are from the lobby, one would expect butler service, but there was none. Moreover, it was very difficult to get through to the front desk from the room phone. For a self-proclaimed 'family-friendly hotel,' there weren't even children's slippers in the room. After finally getting through on the phone, it took an hour for them to be delivered. Why weren't they provided directly at check-in when they saw we had a child?
The room itself was fairly large, but the bathroom lacked air conditioning/heating, and the shower was open-concept. This design might be fine in Sanya, but in Yanqing, showering at night was absolutely freezing. There was also water pooling, and when staff came to check, they said it was because the floor drain was too high, and nothing could be done, which was a bit frustrating.
We had two meals at the hotel restaurant; the food was good, albeit a bit pricey. We also ate at a farmhouse restaurant down the mountain where the iron pot stewed fish was delicious – I forgot its name, but it had “Tell Old Mo I want to eat fish” written on the wall.
Despite the downsides, it's still a good place for a weekend with kids. The hotel has an outdoor pool and a children's splash pool, which were closed due to the cold weather. We'll definitely bring the kids back in the summer.

Very Good
MManaSuisseThe hotel is right across the entrance of the chairlift, and therefore the arrival of the toboggan slide. And 5 minutes from the cable car. Location is perfect but that also makes the place very crowded and noisy as there are thousands of visitors everyday. Breakfast buffet is from 7.30 to 9 am so pretty early but that allows you to go up the Great Wall before 8.30 which is when the crowd starts to arrive. Our room was big and the ground heater was working very well :)
There's a lot of stairs in the hotel so not very good if you have any issues walking. If you ask they will help you with the luggages. If you go there by car you have to give the hotel the plate number in order for them to inform the security guard so they can let your car enter the Great Wall area.

GGuest UserHuairou Shiyueshanman - a dream paradise for parent-child vacation! ✨
I stayed here with my baby for one night and I couldn't bear to leave! This is simply a fairy tale world tailored for parent-child families. The small ranch behind the B&B raises super friendly ostriches and sika deer, as well as peacocks, which makes the baby dance with joy~
The most surprising thing is the ecological fish pond that comes with the B&B! They will provide small fish nets and small buckets attentively. My baby screamed with excitement when he caught three goldfish (finally released them).
The breakfast is delicious and you can also barbecue.

FFlyingtianyaThe location is great, and parking is convenient. There were also water activities available, and ordering food was very easy. I accidentally left something behind at the guesthouse, and the staff went above and beyond by keeping it safe and mailing it back to me – truly exceptional service! I'll definitely be booking here again!
What's more, you can enjoy views of the Simatai Great Wall right from the courtyard, all while relaxing with a beer and some BBQ skewers. It's such a wonderfully laid-back experience!
