Perfect
SSudywoodyKaibu Courtyard is a little gem nestled in Nanping, South of Chong Qing, away from the hustle bustle of the mega city. In terms of location, it was perfect for me and my dad as it is in a residential area, short walking distance of convenience store, subway and plenty of local food nearby. The room was spacious. It's not really a room. It's more like a service apartment. Each unit comes with a living area, a spacious kitchen that is well equipped including a stove, fridge and a washing machine, and 2 bathrooms. They took detail into making sure everything is available, like detergent, noodles, eggs and everyday, a fruit basket. if now, one can usually ask and they will provide almost immediately. The living room also comes with a foot bath and a massage pad which is handy for my dad who is elderly. Overall, I am super happy picking a friendly, personal service hotel that offers lots of warm, while staying in a location that enable me to experience the local culture better. A big shout out to Ms Xia and the nice housekeeper. I fully recommend the hotel to anyone who comes in a group or for those who want to experience warm, or local culture and local experience.

Excellent
GGenOhlsonA cosy family-friendly enchanted hideaway in the mountains with the clouds. The whole place seems to have been a long-time passion in creating the most charming and comfortable inn from conception to realisation with both the exterior and interior decorated in either a rustic country cottage or a European apartment style from the last century. We were so happy here and my child especially appreciated the room and all of its surroundings.
Every nook and cranny of the place is excellently utiilised. From the dining room as well as the main outside eatery balcony, one has a beautiful view of the mountainside in all its greenery with butterflies flitting amongst flowers. Don't forget to check out the third story balconies and the library. Screen projector fittings are in place for a medium-sized conference. The place even has a couple of majiang table nooks should you want to play with friends.
The surrounding forest environment of the inn is all sorts of paths and green terraces going off in different directions. There is a playpark for children with its own pedal-powered mini-roller coaster and other items for children to climb on.
There is an off-site pond and ancient stone bridge nearby. One can take a short hike up the driveway and explore the diverging walking track paths. There's also an ecological technology exhibition centre not far up the road from the inn.
A large portion of the clientele when we were there were day trip visitors in family and friend groups. Big tables as well as KTV facilities could be booked for the day.
The food quality is fantastic and the portions generous. There are no nearby shops so all meals are taken in-house; the staff will consult you about when and what is on offer from the extensive menu. You can specify whether you'd want your food spicy or not when possible depending on the dish.
The genuinely friendly and accomodating staff take such good care of you and step in whenever they feel you may need some assistance. My child had a bad cough at the time, and they were so kind bringing her hot drinks with honey and offering medicine they happened to have there.
My Chinese is not good, but with a standard translation app, you're able to communicate what you need and the staff are so obliging to help. They genuinely do seem to be happy to be working there, and cudos and credit it to the owner for taking such good care of the staff that they in turn carry it over to their care for their guests. It was a pleasure to meet them and the owner.
MM857470****Stumbled upon an incredibly delightful three-bedroom guesthouse with a river view, and I'm totally hooked after checking in! The moment I opened the door, I was stunned by the river scenery. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room bring the river right into the room. Waking up to the morning sun sparkling on the water and falling asleep to the river breeze and city lights at night – every photo I took was incredibly atmospheric.
The three-bedroom layout is super practical. The master bedroom has a scenic balcony, the second bedroom is bright and airy, and the children's room is decorated playfully. The bedding is soft and skin-friendly, making for a perfect night's sleep. The living and dining areas are spacious and bright, with all amenities provided. The kitchen is fully equipped, so we could cook and dine together, feeling completely at home.
The guesthouse's location is superb. It's just a few minutes' walk to the riverside promenade, perfect for a relaxing stroll after dinner with the river breeze. Transportation and shopping nearby are also very convenient. The host is incredibly nice; they sent detailed check-in instructions in advance and were super quick to respond to any questions. Overall, it's clean and tidy, with thoughtful touches everywhere. It's perfect for both family trips and friends traveling together. It's already on my 're-book' list; I'll definitely stay here again next time!
MMillennia AThere’s no front office. I think it’s my mistake not contacting the CP beforehand, because when I asked around, there are some front office of other apartments and they help me to contact the owner of my apartment. And unfortunately when I entered my room, the water was leaking. I informed the owner and they were very helpful. I ordered two rooms, both of them are good enough as I expected. The only thing that need to be improved is the towel, they only gave us disposable towel.

HHadiGreat Modern Apartment – Stunning Views, But Location & Logistics Need Improvement
I stayed at Sumyate Shede River View Executive Apartment and overall enjoyed the experience! Here’s my honest review:
What I loved:
✔ Spotless & Modern: The apartment was impeccably clean with a sleek, contemporary design.
✔ Excellent Facilities: Fully equipped with modern appliances, including a dishwasher and washing machine – very convenient!
✔ Spacious & Atmospheric: Generous layout with a relaxing vibe and beautiful river views.
✔ Prime Location: Close to key attractions (Sibati) – perfect for exploring Chongqing.
✔ Fast Elevators: Efficient lifts made entering/exiting the building hassle-free.
What needs improvement:
❌ Extremely Hard to Locate: The biggest issue was finding the apartment. My Didi driver dropped me at the wrong place twice (!), and I had to be escorted via three escalators just to reach the main gate. Strangely, my Trip.com airport transfer also struggled to find it – clearly, the location isn’t properly registered on ride-hailing/map platforms.
❌ Unfriendly Security: The security staff were unhelpful and spoke no English, making communication difficult.
❌ No Bathroom Mats: Surprisingly, no anti-slip mats were provided. The floor became dangerously slippery after showers – a serious hazard, especially for elderly guests.
Verdict:
A stylish, comfortable stay with premium amenities, but direly needs to fix its location pin and add basic safety features. Recommended if logistics are addressed!

GGenOhlsonThree stops away from the airport on line 3 (dark blue), this cute little apartment is suited perfectly for a day or two in the area. The building complex is conveniently situated right next to Huaxing subway stop, exit 1.
The building is called 'Huakai Youth City', but it's not a youth hostel specifically. It's a regular apartment building with families and people of all ages living there, so don't think you're screened off staying there on account of age.
The apartment itself is very clean with freshly laundered bedding and a small balcony that looks out onto the tree-lined street. A small kitchen has a couple of basics to supplement groceries bought. There is a supermarket directly under the apartment complex that could supplement any/all that you're missing. There are also a bunch of other amenities in the area including multiple pharmacies and a shopping mall.
The caretaker was very sweet and took a bunch of time out of his day to escort me personally down to the police station to register my passport in the area. Waited with me, accompanied me through the whole process and then took me all the way back. This would only apply if you're a foreigner.
The language barrier isn't an issue if you have a translation app set up or you could just add the person on Wechat and message translate.

AAskeRMThe best hotel we’ve experienced in China. We are budget travelers by all means but this was just insane for the price. Maybe because we visited in early December, but we were immediately upgraded
from a single queen bed room to a double queen bed with river view room. The cleanliness was top notch and the amenities were nice too. Thank you very much

GGuest UserConvenient for travel, economical and affordable, mainly the room is clean and hygienic, I have stayed here several times, and the experience is the same every time. There are more night markets downstairs than before. After dinner, walk along the river and enjoy the breeze. It is really beautiful.

JJo TehThe property could benefit from some updates and maintenance. One of the queen bedrooms was converted from a balcony, making it extremely cold during winter. Additionally, the heater in one of the rooms next to the hall was not working, which made it very uncomfortable to sleep through the night.
The bathroom in one of the rooms remained choked throughout our stay, and overall, the bathrooms were not thoroughly cleaned. The kitchen also lacked proper cleanliness, which was disappointing.
On a positive note, the view from the hall was decent, but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to make up for the shortcomings in comfort and cleanliness.
