Perfect
SSudywoodyKaibu Courtyard is a little gem nestled in Nanping, South of Chong Qing, away from the hustle bustle of the mega city. In terms of location, it was perfect for me and my dad as it is in a residential area, short walking distance of convenience store, subway and plenty of local food nearby. The room was spacious. It's not really a room. It's more like a service apartment. Each unit comes with a living area, a spacious kitchen that is well equipped including a stove, fridge and a washing machine, and 2 bathrooms. They took detail into making sure everything is available, like detergent, noodles, eggs and everyday, a fruit basket. if now, one can usually ask and they will provide almost immediately. The living room also comes with a foot bath and a massage pad which is handy for my dad who is elderly. Overall, I am super happy picking a friendly, personal service hotel that offers lots of warm, while staying in a location that enable me to experience the local culture better. A big shout out to Ms Xia and the nice housekeeper. I fully recommend the hotel to anyone who comes in a group or for those who want to experience warm, or local culture and local experience.

Excellent
GGenOhlsonA cosy family-friendly enchanted hideaway in the mountains with the clouds. The whole place seems to have been a long-time passion in creating the most charming and comfortable inn from conception to realisation with both the exterior and interior decorated in either a rustic country cottage or a European apartment style from the last century. We were so happy here and my child especially appreciated the room and all of its surroundings.
Every nook and cranny of the place is excellently utiilised. From the dining room as well as the main outside eatery balcony, one has a beautiful view of the mountainside in all its greenery with butterflies flitting amongst flowers. Don't forget to check out the third story balconies and the library. Screen projector fittings are in place for a medium-sized conference. The place even has a couple of majiang table nooks should you want to play with friends.
The surrounding forest environment of the inn is all sorts of paths and green terraces going off in different directions. There is a playpark for children with its own pedal-powered mini-roller coaster and other items for children to climb on.
There is an off-site pond and ancient stone bridge nearby. One can take a short hike up the driveway and explore the diverging walking track paths. There's also an ecological technology exhibition centre not far up the road from the inn.
A large portion of the clientele when we were there were day trip visitors in family and friend groups. Big tables as well as KTV facilities could be booked for the day.
The food quality is fantastic and the portions generous. There are no nearby shops so all meals are taken in-house; the staff will consult you about when and what is on offer from the extensive menu. You can specify whether you'd want your food spicy or not when possible depending on the dish.
The genuinely friendly and accomodating staff take such good care of you and step in whenever they feel you may need some assistance. My child had a bad cough at the time, and they were so kind bringing her hot drinks with honey and offering medicine they happened to have there.
My Chinese is not good, but with a standard translation app, you're able to communicate what you need and the staff are so obliging to help. They genuinely do seem to be happy to be working there, and cudos and credit it to the owner for taking such good care of the staff that they in turn carry it over to their care for their guests. It was a pleasure to meet them and the owner.
MM2cqail4s****This two-bedroom riverside Airbnb in Chongqing truly exceeded expectations! The moment I walked in, I was blown away by the massive floor-to-ceiling windows offering an unobstructed river view. During the day, you can watch the river gently flow and boats pass by; in the evening, you're treated to stunning sunsets that paint the water golden. And the night view? Absolutely breathtaking! The city lights combined with their reflections on the river create an incredible atmosphere. The two-bedroom layout is well-proportioned and airy, with spacious and bright bedrooms. The bedding was soft, clean, and odorless, making falling asleep while gazing at the river view incredibly therapeutic. The living room was neat and comfortable, with a wide, cozy sofa. The kitchen was well-equipped, allowing for simple cooking, which is super convenient for friends or family traveling together. The location is superb, just a few minutes' walk to the riverside promenade, and close to shopping districts and attractions, so getting around is a breeze. The host was fantastic—responsive, thoughtful, and provided check-in instructions and travel tips in advance. The entire place was spotless, with no hidden corners, and toiletries were fully stocked. Every detail was meticulously handled. This place offers incredible value for money, perfect for couples or families. It was a comfortable and pleasant stay. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Chongqing, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone!
WWandouailvxingaishenghuoI booked a two-bedroom suite for some friends who were visiting, and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise! The hotel proactively upgraded us to a river-view two-bedroom suite for free. My friends were absolutely thrilled after checking in and couldn't stop raving about it. The room offered expansive views, with the Yangtze River and the illuminated Nanshan Road on the opposite bank creating a stunning night scene. What truly stood out was the exceptional service; everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping staff was incredibly warm, attentive, and always ready to help. The location is also super convenient, with hotpot restaurants, breakfast spots, Chinese restaurants, and a whole food street right downstairs, offering a wide array of dining options. My friends thought it was fantastic. I honestly recommend this place to everyone – it's both hassle-free and full of pleasant surprises!

Very Good
PPsymondPros: Quiet, air-conditioned, convenient apartment right in the middle of town with attractions nearby and tons of restaurants below. Washing machine and hangers also available. Overall great value for the price we paid.
Cons: Just so expectations are managed, this is an old, and I mean OLD apartment. The combined toilet and bathroom floods when showering, thus requiring the use of the provided water sweeper to drain water into the tiny drain hole. Due to the moisture retention via the pipes, the toilet and kitchen sink smells bad. Additionally, only disposable toiletries, disposable towels, and disposable cups are provided and replaced every day upon request, there's no cleaning service at all, apart from the rubbish being cleared. While the contact person in-charge was kind and responsive, she simply left the replacement toiletries on the table on our last day and forgot the cups. This could be improved, in addition to doing the administrative check-in work of taking pictures and filling out our details on the police app on her phone, instead of making us guests do it (it should be the host's responsibility?). Finally, the third (single) bed is just a hard mattress board, though luckily there were plenty of spare duvets to cushion the base.

GGenOhlsonThree stops away from the airport on line 3 (dark blue), this cute little apartment is suited perfectly for a day or two in the area. The building complex is conveniently situated right next to Huaxing subway stop, exit 1.
The building is called 'Huakai Youth City', but it's not a youth hostel specifically. It's a regular apartment building with families and people of all ages living there, so don't think you're screened off staying there on account of age.
The apartment itself is very clean with freshly laundered bedding and a small balcony that looks out onto the tree-lined street. A small kitchen has a couple of basics to supplement groceries bought. There is a supermarket directly under the apartment complex that could supplement any/all that you're missing. There are also a bunch of other amenities in the area including multiple pharmacies and a shopping mall.
The caretaker was very sweet and took a bunch of time out of his day to escort me personally down to the police station to register my passport in the area. Waited with me, accompanied me through the whole process and then took me all the way back. This would only apply if you're a foreigner.
The language barrier isn't an issue if you have a translation app set up or you could just add the person on Wechat and message translate.

AAskeRMThe best hotel we’ve experienced in China. We are budget travelers by all means but this was just insane for the price. Maybe because we visited in early December, but we were immediately upgraded
from a single queen bed room to a double queen bed with river view room. The cleanliness was top notch and the amenities were nice too. Thank you very much

MM537391****This is a serviced apartment room, which is cleaned every day. The surrounding environment is very good and convenient for transportation. There is a shopping mall downstairs and a night market in the evening. The room is super large and fully equipped with the same facilities as a hotel. It is only a few minutes away from Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street and Chaotianmen by taking the circular line subway. Parking is convenient, and the view of the small river is enough!

JJo TehThe property could benefit from some updates and maintenance. One of the queen bedrooms was converted from a balcony, making it extremely cold during winter. Additionally, the heater in one of the rooms next to the hall was not working, which made it very uncomfortable to sleep through the night.
The bathroom in one of the rooms remained choked throughout our stay, and overall, the bathrooms were not thoroughly cleaned. The kitchen also lacked proper cleanliness, which was disappointing.
On a positive note, the view from the hall was decent, but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to make up for the shortcomings in comfort and cleanliness.
