GGenOhlsonA cosy family-friendly enchanted hideaway in the mountains with the clouds. The whole place seems to have been a long-time passion in creating the most charming and comfortable inn from conception to realisation with both the exterior and interior decorated in either a rustic country cottage or a European apartment style from the last century. We were so happy here and my child especially appreciated the room and all of its surroundings.
Every nook and cranny of the place is excellently utiilised. From the dining room as well as the main outside eatery balcony, one has a beautiful view of the mountainside in all its greenery with butterflies flitting amongst flowers. Don't forget to check out the third story balconies and the library. Screen projector fittings are in place for a medium-sized conference. The place even has a couple of majiang table nooks should you want to play with friends.
The surrounding forest environment of the inn is all sorts of paths and green terraces going off in different directions. There is a playpark for children with its own pedal-powered mini-roller coaster and other items for children to climb on.
There is an off-site pond and ancient stone bridge nearby. One can take a short hike up the driveway and explore the diverging walking track paths. There's also an ecological technology exhibition centre not far up the road from the inn.
A large portion of the clientele when we were there were day trip visitors in family and friend groups. Big tables as well as KTV facilities could be booked for the day.
The food quality is fantastic and the portions generous. There are no nearby shops so all meals are taken in-house; the staff will consult you about when and what is on offer from the extensive menu. You can specify whether you'd want your food spicy or not when possible depending on the dish.
The genuinely friendly and accomodating staff take such good care of you and step in whenever they feel you may need some assistance. My child had a bad cough at the time, and they were so kind bringing her hot drinks with honey and offering medicine they happened to have there.
My Chinese is not good, but with a standard translation app, you're able to communicate what you need and the staff are so obliging to help. They genuinely do seem to be happy to be working there, and cudos and credit it to the owner for taking such good care of the staff that they in turn carry it over to their care for their guests. It was a pleasure to meet them and the owner.

Hygiene: Extremely clean; every night I returned to a perfectly tidied room.
Ambiance: The warm lighting created a very cozy atmosphere.
Service: Every staff member was incredibly friendly and accommodating. They were always willing to help with anything, even doing laundry and returning it dried to my room.
Chongqing Zoo Adult Ticket - Standard Price: You can see many giant pandas, which felt very worthwhile. The park is also a 4A scenic area.

__WeChat317825****My bestie and I had the best trip to Chongqing, all thanks to this two-bedroom, river-view apartment near Hongyadong! The two-bedroom layout was perfect for us; both rooms offered full privacy, and the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation with plenty of hot water – so refreshing to come back after a long day of exploring and take a nice, long shower.
My favorite part was definitely the living room's river view. We just had to open the window to see the sparkling Jialing River, and once night fell, the dazzling lights of Hongyadong were right there for us to admire. Lounging on the sofa with my bestie, enjoying hotpot while taking in the night view, was truly a dream come true.
The apartment is super close to the subway, making it really convenient to get to Liziba and Ciqikou. There's also a convenience store and snack stalls downstairs, so grabbing a Chongqing hot and sour noodle for breakfast was a breeze.
The host was incredibly friendly and communicative. They sent us a guide to the area before we even checked in and even reserved a parking spot for us near the elevator. The smart home features, projector, and mini-fridge in the room were all super practical and showed great attention to detail. This stay was absolutely fantastic, and I'll definitely be booking here again on my next trip to Chongqing!

MM297130****Located near the Eighteenth Ladder, it's full of food stalls and quite lively at night. Even though it's quite high up, it can't block out the smoky atmosphere of the surroundings; the clothes hanging on the balcony smelt of barbecue. The room was generally nice and met all my basic needs. The only problem was the narrow area around the washing machine, with the air conditioner unit behind it, which caused me to bump my head. The owner was very helpful and answered all my questions.

GGuest UserThe hotel is at a very convenient location with the liberation monument, the Art museum etc at easy walking distances. The front desk girls are super polite and eager to help. Free washing machine and dryer was very handy. The hotel can be a bit tricky to locate as the sign can get lost among other signage. Good breakfast which is reasonably priced. Nice clean showers and rooms. Only thing that can be improved are the corridors which are a bit ragged and have a musty smell- can be upgraded to make a more pleasant impression.

GGenOhlsonThree stops away from the airport on line 3 (dark blue), this cute little apartment is suited perfectly for a day or two in the area. The building complex is conveniently situated right next to Huaxing subway stop, exit 1.
The building is called 'Huakai Youth City', but it's not a youth hostel specifically. It's a regular apartment building with families and people of all ages living there, so don't think you're screened off staying there on account of age.
The apartment itself is very clean with freshly laundered bedding and a small balcony that looks out onto the tree-lined street. A small kitchen has a couple of basics to supplement groceries bought. There is a supermarket directly under the apartment complex that could supplement any/all that you're missing. There are also a bunch of other amenities in the area including multiple pharmacies and a shopping mall.
The caretaker was very sweet and took a bunch of time out of his day to escort me personally down to the police station to register my passport in the area. Waited with me, accompanied me through the whole process and then took me all the way back. This would only apply if you're a foreigner.
The language barrier isn't an issue if you have a translation app set up or you could just add the person on Wechat and message translate.

JJo TehThe property could benefit from some updates and maintenance. One of the queen bedrooms was converted from a balcony, making it extremely cold during winter. Additionally, the heater in one of the rooms next to the hall was not working, which made it very uncomfortable to sleep through the night.
The bathroom in one of the rooms remained choked throughout our stay, and overall, the bathrooms were not thoroughly cleaned. The kitchen also lacked proper cleanliness, which was disappointing.
On a positive note, the view from the hall was decent, but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to make up for the shortcomings in comfort and cleanliness.
