GGuest UserThe first guesthouse you see upon entering Taxia Village is very convenient and easy to find, with parking available. The guesthouse owner is a Hakka from Taxia Village and is very welcoming. The owner's cooking is delicious, all authentic local dishes, and the prices are reasonable. This guesthouse retains its original charm, situated next to the small bridges and flowing water of Taxia Village, near a Tulou (earthen building), an Overseas Chinese Memorial Hall, and the Zhang Clan Ancestral Hall, called Deyuan Hall, not far away. It's recommended to enter Taxia Village from the Nanjing Tulou, eat and stay there, then visit the Dongdaoxiwailou (leaning building), and finally the Sicai Yitang (Four Dishes and One Soup) restaurant. From Sicai Yitang, you can directly access the highway.

GGuest UserIt’s a great place to lie down during the National Day~ We stayed here for three nights and went to the Shunyu Building in the village, as well as the nearby Meilin Ancient Town and Hekeng Tulou, which perfectly avoided the crowds~
The B&B retains the simplicity of the earth building architecture. At the same time, the hardware and sanitation are of good quality. The rooms are also soundproofed. From the balcony, you can see the view of the creek at the entrance of the village. You can sit on the balcony all afternoon~ A little suggestion, the water temperature adjustment of the shower is not too sensitive. You can adjust it~
Sister Jiang was really warm and thoughtful. She told us a lot about Hakka culture and the history of Tulou. She also gave us super sweet persimmons before leaving. I will definitely choose this place again next time I come to Tulou~
I also recommend the B&B’s meals and glutinous rice wine. The blind spots of the dishes are all delicious~

GGuest User1949 truly feels like an idyllic retreat, far from the city's hustle and bustle, yet brimming with local charm. It's conveniently located very close to the Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster (Four Dishes and One Soup). The front desk and service staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. We booked a family suite with a slide, which was an absolute hit with the kids! They played all evening, and there was constant laughter – it was truly delightful and excellent value for money. We had dinner at the hotel, and it was also fantastic – the chef truly puts thought into every dish. Breakfast by the stream, listening to the gentle babbling water and enjoying the crisp morning air, offered a truly unique and wonderful experience. Simply wonderful! 👍

GGuest UserDuring this journey, I seemed to have removed my identity as a tourist, and it was more like meeting with my friends and listening to their wonderful life stories. I thought that the trip was an ordinary trip, but it unexpectedly became one of the most precious memories of my life. The homestay is very retro, hidden in the tiles in the corner, the reefs on the cabinet, and the flowers in the corner all reflect the unique understanding and careful management of the aesthetics of life.
Special thanks to the owner of the homestay: Dong brother. The warm hospitality and meticulous care made us feel the warmth of family. Not only provided us with a comfortable accommodation environment, but also healed the fatigue of the journey with sincerity and goodwill. This friendship, I will always remember it in my heart. Although reluctant, the journey of life still needs to continue. I look forward to returning to this warm place again in the near future.

The rooms are quite spacious, making it suitable for young people or young couples with children. The service is very attentive. The Shangzhai restaurant next to the guesthouse serves delicious food with fresh ingredients, and the owner is very friendly and welcoming. It would be helpful if a few more hooks were installed in the downstairs restrooms of the guesthouse for hanging towels and clothes.

The decoration is in a nostalgic campus style, but the hardware facilities are not outdated. You can see the subtle care that the owner put into the room design. There will be several modes of room lighting to suit various needs. The wet and dry partitions in the bathroom are relatively reasonable, and the sewers are smooth and do not accumulate water. The water heater has a large capacity, so you can take a comfortable bath without any problem. It has its own parking lot and is very convenient for self-driving. The location of the B&B is very close to the viewing platform of Four Dishes and One Soup, which has the advantage of seeing the lights and entering the village at night. The landlady usually drinks tea in the front hall. When you pass by and she is free, she will invite you to drink tea and chat with her. The boss will tell you about travel strategies when he has free time, and even take you for a walk in person.

I had read some negative reviews before booking, but after seeing the hotel lobby, I felt it was very upscale and didn't think it was that bad. GGuest UserHotel is quite new. Rooms are big and spacious, love it! No fridge in rooms hence cannot store drinks and fruits. No smoking in rooms but people are allowed to smoke in the hotel lobby. Hope the hotel can change it policies to NO Smoking in the hotel lobby because when we are back in the room and when we on the aircon, the room smell of cigarettes still as it is cremate aircon
