The accommodation provides spacious and clean rooms and is perfectly located in the Tulou scenic area at the southern part of Taxia village and very close to both the 田螺坑 土楼 and 河坑 土楼 as well as the 裕昌 building. All of them can be reached by car in just a few minutes.
I arrived at the Inn without a car myself and the owner not only helped me organize the visits but even offered to drive me to several nearby tulou. We had the chance to share several meals prepared by his wife, which were all excellent, and some very good tea from the region. The host is very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor - we talked a lot after I arrived despite my very limited Chinese.
All in all, I can recommend this place very much - I would come back anytime if I decide to visit the area again.
(P.S. make sure to ask the host about the fireflies nearby - seeing them under the starry night is a mesmerizing experience and was one of the highlights of my trip to Fujian)

zhangyaleeI stayed at the Taxia Tulou in Nanjing during the Spring Festival. The owner's place was in a great location with convenient parking. Following the owner's advice, I spent the first afternoon exploring Taxia Village. That evening, I had dinner at the owner's house; the two-way chicken preparation was excellent, and the stir-fried radish and eggs were delicious. Enjoying some of the owner's homemade plum wine was very pleasant. The next morning, I headed to Yuchanglou and Tianluokeng without any traffic. Traveling from Taxia to Yuchanglou to Tianluokeng, in reverse, staggered the travel time and reduced traffic congestion, making it very convenient for those driving.

PHS65Excellent service from the lady boss and the staff. From the time I contacted her, she sent me lots of information about getting to the guesthouse. More importantly, she followed up with me to ensure that I am on the right track to the guesthouse. This was very much appreciated as I had a flight delay and that messed up my original travel plan. The lady boss was very proactive in ensuring that I find my way to the guesthouse. The lady boss' daugther is very cute and adorable. She shared part of her orange with me and when I told her that I liked it, she went off and got one for me! Even wanted to help me with my luggage but a little difficult as she's only 8 years old.
The guesthouse is located on top of a small hill and lady boss will pick up guests at the bottom of the hill; actually, in my opinion, hardly needed as it's only 10 minutes or less walk up a gentle slope but she does the pickup as part of the service that they offer.
The room is very nice and clean. The toilet is western style and has a very nice touch - spot lights are installed on the toilet ceilings and when the nights are cold, you will really appreciate the warmth from these lights after coming out from your shower!
And finally, they will drive guests out to 2 of the best viewpoints for the Tianluokeng cluster at no additional charge.

This guesthouse has a beautiful courtyard and a great location, just 20 meters from the Big Banyan Tree. The rooms are very clean, and it's a century-old *tulou* (earthen building), entirely made of wood. My mom absolutely loved the courtyard; the environment is peaceful and beautiful. I can confirm the photos used for promotion are accurate – what you see is what you get! The owner is incredibly warm and welcoming, she picked us up and helped with our luggage, and even introduced us to local attractions, just like a friendly big sister next door. They also have a *tulou* museum that's free to visit. It's four stories high, and you can go up to take photos. The two corner observation decks on the top floor have glass panels, offering a great view of Huaiyuan Lou – it's definitely a must-visit for some amazing photo opportunities. Oh, and I also loved their breakfast! It was simple and unpretentious. I find Fujianese cuisine can be a bit oily, so a light breakfast is perfect, especially for the first meal of the day; it's good for your health. It was the most comfortable meal I had on this trip. I really wish I could have stayed a few more days, but unfortunately, all the rooms were booked. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit!

Anonymous UserFirst of all, the location of the homestay is in the middle of Yunshuiyao Scenic Area. It is far from Huaiyuan Tower or Hegui Tower. It is difficult to park during holidays. You can choose to take a battery car or motorcycle to spend less money and save effort. The good thing about the location of the homestay is that it is close to the waterwheel and the big banyan tree. The bad thing is that it is too lively. Tourists near the waterwheel set off fireworks and sing KTV until the early morning. Although you can watch free fireworks, you should choose carefully if you don’t sleep well.
On the day we checked in, other guests had a family dispute and made a big noise at 11:12 pm, but there was no management staff to coordinate the homestay, which greatly affected our rest. We even didn’t know what happened at the beginning. We heard someone shouting for help, and the children were scared and cried when they fell asleep. I hope the homestay can improve its service.

Shiahanga!
A hundred faints! ! ! Living in an earth building is a very special experience (many earth buildings in scenic spots do not allow people to go upstairs, so you have to pay to go upstairs! You can live here directly). I came here before the National Day. I was very lucky that only two people stayed in the entire earth building. , Hahaha, very quiet and a great experience! The store did a great job in upgrading the room type. I would like to praise the lady at the front desk by name! The person was super nice and even gave us grapefruits and recommended the itinerary in great detail! Went to Tianluokeng to see the rice terraces which were very beautiful! A great experience

This trip was incredibly good value. At the scenic area, the admission ticket for the Hakka earthen buildings only includes access to the first floor. If you want to go upstairs to look around, you have to pay the local residents an additional 10 yuan. Plus, the earthen buildings in the scenic area are still inhabited by locals, with either ancestral halls or vendors selling goods in the middle, making them much less picturesque for photos compared to here. The room was also very clean.

We booked three rooms for five people for one night. The guesthouse's location is fantastic, right next to the 'Four Dishes and One Soup' Tulou. You can easily access the viewing platform nearby to see the night scenery, which is very convenient! The owner and his son were incredibly hospitable. The owner's son even drove his motorcycle to the parking lot to pick us up. He's also an excellent cook! In the morning, as we were leaving, the owner helped us carry our luggage to the car. Thank you!

The B&B is run by a young couple. The overall building resembles an earth building in appearance, and the interior has a standard hotel-like layout. The decoration is in a nostalgic campus style, but the hardware facilities are not outdated. You can see the subtle care that the owner put into the room design. There will be several modes of room lighting to suit various needs. The wet and dry partitions in the bathroom are relatively reasonable, and the sewers are smooth and do not accumulate water. The water heater has a large capacity, so you can take a comfortable bath without any problem. It has its own parking lot and is very convenient for self-driving. The location of the B&B is very close to the viewing platform of Four Dishes and One Soup, which has the advantage of seeing the lights and entering the village at night. The landlady usually drinks tea in the front hall. When you pass by and she is free, she will invite you to drink tea and chat with her. The boss will tell you about travel strategies when he has free time, and even take you for a walk in person.
