PPianzhidetongxiaojieFirst off, Ivy's ambiance is subtly pleasant and very comfortable.
The service, I found, was just right. The way staff would nod and smile every time I entered, that subtle presence of 'we're here if you need us' felt really good. Almost all facilities have no time limits (except for the sauna which closes at midnight), so no need to rush for showers or the gym. It's perfect for night owls to quietly explore the hotel at any time! The lounge always has replenished snacks and drinks, and public spaces are always tidied up. Of course, this assumes everyone helps maintain a quiet atmosphere.
The room layout was smooth, quiet, and conducive to good sleep. The air conditioning and all other facilities were noise-free. The flowing private hot spring was the best white noise for falling asleep. The room lighting was also perfectly designed! I really slept well, so checking out at 11 am was a bit difficult. It would be perfect if check-out could be at 12 pm!
Even in summer, it's not boring at all. Although the Summer Lantern Festival isn't a huge event, it's still interesting! At least it's great for photos! I'd honestly love to come back in winter to experience the incredible snowy scenery! There are two young men who speak Chinese, and they are both very nice, so language communication isn't much of a worry.
Friends who have stayed here also said Ivy was a pleasant surprise, a place that feels like home during their travels.
However, to be honest, the dining was neither particularly good nor bad; nothing surprising there. My review might be subjective, but I genuinely love Ivy.

lack of maintenance with broken walls like that for a deluxe room is hard to accept even though the room size is good and big enough to open 3 large suitcases.
amenities r made in China not Japan make me really disappointed with the amount I paid.

TterentiusI absolutely loved my stay here. Location is great for convenience if traveling by train or metro, as the JR Sapporo Station is only 7 mins' walk away to JR Sapporo station (walking outdoors along the streets), or, if it is raining or snowing and you need an entirely indoor path from JR Station, about 12 minutes' walk.
Breakfast had a good spread and I enjoyed the food. The gender segregated (and thus fully nude) public bath (onsen) was also spacious and clean. Room was very clean. No complaints.

We had some of the best sleep during our stay. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, with plenty of pillows and soft, high-quality linens. The room itself was spacious, quiet, and very well soundproofed, with lots of space to store luggage and personal items, plus many useful amenities.
The entire hotel has a modern, clean design and is kept in excellent condition. The staff were very kind, professional, and spoke English, which made everything easy. They even provided umbrellas free of charge when it rained, which was a thoughtful touch.
The hotel bar also deserves a mention. The service was excellent, the drinks were very good, and the parfaits were delicious. Since parfaits are very popular locally in Sapporo, I definitely recommend trying one here.
The location is convenient too: just a short walk from Susukino and the Sapporo city center, close to the station by a few metro stops, and easy to reach by taxi.
Overall, this Marriott was a real gem. Because of such a pleasant experience here, I’ll definitely consider staying at other Marriott Courtyard hotels in the future.

GGuest UserThis onsen hotel is definitely worth the price. The environment and hygiene are excellent, and the room layout is fantastic. The yukata was the most comfortable I wore during my Hokkaido trip. The service was absolutely superb, especially the proprietress at the Kaiseki restaurant, Shoan. She was incredibly elegant and generous, giving us an authentic and meticulous Japanese service experience. The private onsen with a fee had average views. The outdoor public onsen was closed on the day of my stay due to cold weather. The indoor onsen, for a hotel of this price point, was quite ordinary. Therefore, I wasn't entirely satisfied with the onsen experience. All in all, while it might not be exceptionally surprising, this is a hotel that's well worth its price.

FFuleidilaoThe location is great, right next to Tanukikoji, and it's just a few minutes' walk to Don Quijote.
Facilities: There's a hot spring, but I didn't get a chance to use it. There's also a self-service laundry, but it only accepts coins, no electronic payments.
Cleanliness: It was very clean and tidy; I had a comfortable stay.
Service: We arrived at the hotel at 2 PM and were told we could store our luggage first, but check-in wasn't until after 3 PM. We dropped off our bags and went out to explore. We came back after dinner to pick up our room key.

WWong_iUsed the hotel as my base for day travels to Otaru, Furano / Biei. First overnight stay was without breakfast but that was lucky as I saw overflowing waiting crowds even at 6.45am!!. Subsequent stay was 4 nights - buffet spread was good and delicious - but 4 days of similar breakfast was abit repetitive - fresh omelette counter was manned by 1 person … not the efficiency I think of for Japan. Obvious is also the clearing of tables / turn over are slow due to a petit looking trolley with space for only max 2 trays (the reason for the long queue?)
Room wise was comfortable, but with paper thin walls - i hear baby crying, people coughing or people on phone speakers not to mention the occasional loud thumps on wall ..had to use ear plugs in order to sleep. As it’s End June, the sky gets bright by around 3.30am … and the light leaking from The curtain does not help .. so it was also blind fold.
Overall if not for the the nice and helpful Chinese speaking reception team .. I would have a mediocre experience at the hotel.

AAnonymous UserI had a great stay at this hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and nice, and they were even kind enough to offer me a late check-out at 1:00 PM, which I really appreciated. The room was spacious, the public bath was a great feature, and the self-service luggage storage was very convenient.
the hotel is a bit of a walk from the metro, it is near a bus stop for the airport limousine. The breakfast variety was a bit more limited compared to other hotels I have visited. Overall, the hospitality made for a wonderful experience.

SSummer travelersWe visited as a family of four (two adults and two children) for two nights and truly appreciated several aspects of our time here:
Spacious & Spotless Room:
The accommodations were exceptionally clean and spacious, offering lovely surrounding views.
Comfortable Bedding:
Both the bed and pillows were remarkably comfortable, making for a restful sleep.
Thoughtful Amenities:
Having all necessary toiletries fully prepared and ready upon arrival was greatly appreciated.
Few areas of concern to your attention so they may be addressed for future guests:
Breakfast Queue:
The waiting times and long queues for the morning breakfast buffet were quite significant.
Onsen Water Supply Interruption:
On our second night, the water supply in the onsen area was suddenly suspended while guests were actively showering. This was particularly inconvenient for those left with shampoo and soap to rinse, and unfortunately, it prevented us from enjoying the onsen on our final morning.
Ice Cream Machine Malfunction:
The ice cream machine served liquid instead of proper soft-serve during our visit. We do, however, appreciate how promptly the team responded and fixed the issue once informed.

GGuest UserBed is rock hard. After 4 nights, I have serious back ache, plus I'm lacking in sleep, due to how hard and uncomfortable the bed was.
The pool facility wasn't fully open (it only does so in August). The last week in July at least opens the some of the outside area for use, but it doesn't fully open until August. They'd also made the 25m outside pool a wipeout/ninja obstacle course so, if you want to actually swim [do some lengths etc] then the only place you can do this was initially only open in August and even then it is now taken over by an obstacle. The indoor sections are open all year round. You have to pay extra to access the slides - not too crazy at 500 or 600yen depending on the day for unlimited access (you're given a wristband).
Breakfast was ok. Wide variety of foods - some of which I wouldn't normally associate with breakfast, but still nice to have choices. Signage claims it gets busy after 8am. This is definitely not true - it's busy when it first opens at 7am and then slowly gets quieter over the 7~10 opening times (last entry at 9:30). Can't speak about weekends tho.
Shuttle bus is busiest at the 5pm time slot.
Overall, a ”resort” that claims to be 4 stars it most certainly isn't. 2 stars yes. 2.5 maybe. But the whole place just feels quite dated and far from the luxury expected from a ”4 star hotel”.
Apart from the bed as I've already mentioned, the room was a good enough size but all the decor and controls were old. The Aircon control was worn and glitchy (button presses would turn it off etc) but at least it worked and made the room the temp we wanted. The lighting panel has had so many changes there are stickers on it to blank out buttons which no longer function - fair enough, but maybe spend a bit of money on a decent upgrade??? This hotel isn't cheap!
