KKennedy ROur stay at Mehood Lestie (LIZ) Hotel exceeded every expectation. As we passed through Nanning on our travels, we were hoping for a calm place to rest; LIZ Hotel delivered exactly that. The atmosphere is remarkably peaceful, offering a sense of quiet retreat from the city. The spacious, spotless rooms provided the perfect place to unwind after a long day.
Their generous breakfast selection was a refreshing way to start each morning, and the late‑night noodle service was a comforting treat to end the day. The panoramic views overlooking the city were stunning, giving us a true sense of Nanning’s character and beauty.
What truly elevated our experience was the exceptional support from Xiao Tian. Despite my limited language skills, Xiao Tian made everything effortless, from navigating the hotel to understanding the amenities. They helped us extend our stay, offered thoughtful recommendations, and even guided us toward some wonderful local sights. Their kindness and attentiveness made us feel genuinely cared for.
If you’re looking for a quiet, restorative place to stay, get some work done, or simply relax after exploring the city, LIZ Hotel is an excellent choice. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

GGuest UserI picked this hotel for a show. It's conveniently located, about a 15-20 minute walk to the Cultural and Art Center. The surrounding area is quite quiet, and it's also very close to the Yong River Green Walkway, which is great for a stroll.
The room facilities are fairly new, and the bathroom has excellent wet/dry separation. My only minor complaint is that the sink is a bit low, so it's easy to splash water out when washing your face or brushing your teeth. Room cleaning could be a bit more thorough; for example, the shower cap wasn't replenished on the second day. After contacting the front desk, a robot delivered it to my door, which was really cute! Though it did make me wonder, if they have robots, why not use them for food delivery as well?
The views from both the restaurant and the room are lovely. It was very comfortable and relaxing to lie on the sofa and simply enjoy the scenery.

GGuest UserFacilities: Overall very good, right next to Wanda Plaza. It's also quite quiet, and the decor is nice, still relatively new.
Hygiene: Very clean, and the bedding was quite comfortable. The only thing is the air conditioning made me a bit cold.
Environment: The overall environment is pretty good.
Service: Excellent. As soon as we pulled up, someone immediately helped us with our luggage. After check-in, they also proactively guided us to our room with our bags. We arrived late last night, and the front desk attendant even upgraded me to a suite. Many thanks.

NNanbendezhouyuQingxiu Mountain one-time adult ticket (single entry ticket) - 12:00-17:00 entry: I didn't get to use this ticket because I'd been there before. This is my second or third time staying at the Renaissance in Nanning, after many trips. I used to stay at the Shangri-La. The same front desk staff member who checked me in this time also helped me before. I had just driven for a long time and was completely exhausted. If it hadn't been for that front desk staff member checking me in, I might have been unhappy, haha. I didn't change rooms for the next two days either. Overall, it was a decent stay. I think it's a worthwhile place to stay in Nanning, all things considered. It's even better than the Shangri-La, except for the location and a few special services. I don't have any photos; I don't like taking them. I only have one picture of getting takeout. There's barbecue downstairs.

ZZhongguoduxingxiaFrom Chongzuo South Station, we took a high-speed train to Nanning Station. Then we hopped on Metro Line 1, got off at Chaoyang Square Station (just one stop away), and walked about 350 meters from Exit D to reach the hotel.
In the evening, we visited Sanjie Liangxiang: It's essentially a typical pedestrian street, lively but not particularly exciting. The Nanning Ancient City Wall is just a small, renovated section that wasn't really worth seeing.
The next day, we went to Qingxiu Mountain: We took Metro Line 1 (towards Shibu) for 6 stops to Jinhu Square Station, then transferred to Line 3 (towards Pingliang Flyover) for 3 stops, getting off at Qingxiu Mountain Station, Exit B. From there, you can walk directly to the West Gate of the scenic area.
We walked towards the North Gate, passing by Tianchi Jilinge, then through Buyun Gate to ascend Longxiang Pagoda for a panoramic view of Nanning. After that, we admired the peacocks on the grass at Huanshan Xiuping, followed by a stroll through Peach Blossom Island. We then took a sightseeing car to Guanyin Temple to visit and try the vegetarian meal. Next, we experienced the dreamy atmosphere of the Shade Plant Garden, and finally, explored the Orchid Garden to admire the orchids. We took the sightseeing car back to the West Gate.
Nanning Museum: Free entry and located one stop after Qingxiu Mountain. The collection is definitely worth seeing.

DDavidWe decided to stay on few more days as we enjoyed our stay here. One thing , though, is that the breakfast has to be more varied and creative as, after staying 4 days, we were so afraid of eating the same old breakfast day after day. The night supper provided is simple yet good enough. Self service laundry is great and the tv is especially large and room is relatively large. Overall we give thumbs up for this hotel.

Llilihua290Very close to the airport, with a direct access tunnel! Breakfast starts early, which is very thoughtful! The breakfast spread is extensive, offering both Chinese and Western options. The hotel design is unique, and it even has a large bookstore.

GGuest UserWe spent awhile here as were securing Vietnam visas. This is hotel is far from the embassy. On the other hand,it was convenient for the public transport, but not the subway. The front desk had no clue about whether trains to Vietnam from Nanning are possible. They are and we took trains first to Hanoi and later to Mui Ne.The front desk all over Vietnam was full of good advice and could speak English well enough. As for China, they wanted to help, but didnt have the answers and once I could see them tapping away at their phones I knew they would most likely find the same lack of information I found on line. The train at Nanning leaves at 6PM for Hanoi. A special machine exists that prints out a card in five languages with carbon copies that tear away at each juncture of the trip. This will be a bad night's sleep as they rouse passengers late at night to stamp out of China and later into Vietnam. Upon arrival in Hanoi you'll probably need a taxi, but at 6:30am the only ones prey on tourists st the train station. Most people stay around the Old Quarter and it's a well provisioned sort of place with a giant lake at the center. Getting to the train station here required me to get a motorcycle, but wasnt far. It was easy to buy onward tickets and we enjoyed the food and people watching around the lake. Hanoi is sweater weather in January, but once you hit southeastern Vietnam the weather is hot and humid with refreshing sea breezes along the coast.

GGuest UserI recently stayed at Sanzan Hotel, located near Jinhu Square Metro Station in Nanning, and had an overall pleasant experience. Here’s a breakdown of my stay:
Location:
The hotel’s location is fantastic, especially for travelers looking to explore the city. It’s just a short walk from Jinhu Square Metro Station, making it very easy to get around Nanning and access popular attractions. There are also plenty of shops, restaurants, and local markets in the surrounding area, which is incredibly convenient.
Check-in & Service:
The check-in process was smooth and efficient. The staff were friendly and spoke enough English to assist with any queries. They were always ready to offer directions or help with taxi arrangements, which made the stay even more hassle-free.
Room:
The room I stayed in was clean, modern, and comfortable. The bed was soft, and the pillows were just right for a good night’s sleep. The room was equipped with all the usual amenities like a flat-screen TV, minibar, free Wi-Fi, and an air conditioning unit that worked perfectly. The bathroom was spacious, with a good shower and all the necessary toiletries provided.
Facilities:
The hotel has a small but functional fitness center, which I used a couple of times during my stay. While it’s not a massive gym, it has enough equipment for a decent workout. There’s also a restaurant on-site, which serves a variety of Chinese dishes. The breakfast buffet was simple but tasty, offering a mix of local and continental options.
Value for Money:
Given its central location and the comfort of the facilities, Sanzan Hotel offers excellent value for money. The price is very reasonable, especially for a hotel that is so conveniently situated near a metro station.
