"I stayed at the Wyndham Tashkent for 6 nights on a business trip, and I had a very pleasant experience overall. The hotel is well-located, and the room I stayed in offered a nice view, which made the mornings especially enjoyable.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile — whether it was at the front desk, housekeeping, or in the restaurant.
Breakfast was consistently good, with a decent variety of both local and international options. It was a great way to start each busy day.

"The hostel seems quite new, clean, and well-maintained. The facilities are fairly complete, and there are enough bathrooms and toilets available. They were also clean and equipped with a hairdryer, which was very convenient.
The location is good, close to the metro station and easy to find following Google Maps directions.
One thing to note is that the hostel is located on the 4th floor and there is no elevator, so guests need to use the stairs.
Overall, it is a good option for a short solo stay in Tashkent."

"I stayed 3 nights here. I found the price of the hotel a bit expensive when I extended one more night, but overall was ok. The minifridge was a bit noisy and I couldn't sleep wellIt sounds like it had a little stone stuck there not sure why it sounded like that maybe it's normal?. The breakfast taste is very good but I was expecting more variety. The hotel is located close to the Amir Temur metro (red line) close to the Uzbekistan Hotel for those who want to appreciate the soviet architecture. They have safety box, shampoo, soap (very perfumed I prefer one that does not smell) and there is a KFC next to it. They have a mini bar. In general the hotel was ok just for 1 traveller a bit expensive. The staff friendly and atmosphere good too."

"No one helped with luggage upon arrival. The room's cleanliness and facilities were subpar. The shampoo dispenser was empty, so I had to rinse the bottle to get out the last bits for washing my hair. There was a strand of hair in the toilet when I first entered. I needed the Wi-Fi password and it took two phone calls and over 20 minutes for someone to come up and input it.
The room itself was relatively new. The personalized welcome card and the nut platter on the table were nice touches. The breakfast selection was extensive and the quality seemed decent."

"Overall, the hygiene and environment were pretty good, but the service was absolutely terrible. We stayed for a few days, and they basically never replaced any of the used disposable items. The conditioner was already empty when we arrived on the first day, but since it was late at night, we just wanted to rest and figured they might refill it the next day. However, it was still empty when we came back the second night! We reported it to the front desk staff on the morning of the third day, and they said they'd take care of it. Yet, it was still empty when we returned that evening! Unbelievable!!! We even contacted Ctrip, but their staff couldn't even get a hold of the hotel! Speechless. 😓"

TTrip tips by ZakuroThis hotel was incredibly good for the price! The room was clean and comfortable, and even though the staff were young, they were all very friendly. Here are the good points:
1. The electrical outlets in the room are multi-standard, so you can use your own country's plugs.
2. There's a kettle, coffee, tea bags, slippers, and bottled water provided.
3. There's an elevator, which is great if you have a lot of luggage. This is quite important, as many hotels in Tashkent of a similar standard often don't have one.
4. It's close to both the airport and the long-distance train station, about a 10-15 minute taxi ride.
5. The breakfast is wonderful! The dining area isn't huge, but there's a wide variety of delicious food.
It's centrally located, making it convenient to go anywhere. This will definitely become my go-to hotel in the future.

Amenities like soap and toothbrushes available. Also coffee and tea. The furnishings were modern and clean. The TV had lots of international channels.
I booked with the breakfast option; the food was really good. Lots of different items, fruit, yogurt, vegetables and eggs, steamed buns, tofu, other nice things. Many types of fruit juice and tea and coffee. I enjoyed the food very much, everything was fresh and delicious. The staff at the front desk speak English. Very good service in the restaurant and the hotel. I will stay here again.

CChou VinhhongI checked in around 8pm and was greeted by a staff in the evening shift (I did not asked his name). I asked for a SIM card if I could buy in the morning , he said could offer a free just need to top up tomorrow 9am his colleagues will settle. But early morning I was waiting for 9-9:30 there is no one knew about this . I also asked for late check out, he said could extend only til 1pm unless I will need to settle 50% extra and I agreed coz my flight is 22:30pm but in the morning when I came to settle late check out fee, there is again no one know how to do only they said they will check with their manager . I only stayed one night in Tashkent due to my flight need to overnight transit but the team make my stay very unpleasant and not comfortable. Again , I got a friend who come to visit me just 1hr, but the hotel did not allow and that evening staff again , stop my friend and said he can stay inside my room
Only 3mn, if late than 3mn, he will call my room number or even send someone . he said this is hotel rule . Omg . The way he replied and did were so unprofessional and rude and very fiere like I am a criminal . Until I complaint and asked to meet manager couple times , he agreed to let my friend stay only 1hr and needed to pay a tourist fee.
Bad service , not skilled team and I will never ever come back to this hotel again !

GGuest UserThe front desk staff were excellent, always ready to answer any questions. The location is great, not far from the subway, bus stops, and the train station, and you can even get there by bus from the airport. The room was clean and had all the necessary amenities, plus there's a pool and a smoking area. The price was fair, and the self-service breakfast was free, on time, and offered a good variety. I stayed for three days, and the breakfast menu changed a bit each day, definitely worth the price! Plus, there's parking available.

DDeanSFinding the hotel was challenging. Took me circumvate the entire train station twice when I finally called them for direction. Imagine the station is huge & with my luggages & crossing the security twice, even the security were clueless.
The front desk lady was sweet & nice to walk out & directed me. That was a huge help. I think they should place clear signages.
Check-In process was a nightmare. They couldn’t confirmed my booking even though I have shown the confirmed voucher online. After much deliberation they accepted my booking. Next come the payment. None of my cards was accepted even though i have been using them throughout my 2 weeks travel in Uzbekistan. They would not allow me to check in until full payment was made.
Since I only have USD, they insist that I change at the nearest bank. A nice consolation was that a young front desk staff willingly to walk me to the hotel. All these took me around 2 stressful hours walking in & out & around.
The hostel is very new. Super huge room, again brand new. Super clean. But I don’t understand why not a single basic amenities was provided; body soap or shampoo. The front desk however promptly provided upon request the following day.
I believe most who stayed usually 1-night.
The location was almost perfect, if only the hotel guests don’t need to keep going through the security scanning every each time both going in & out. Imagine I’m staying 3 nights.
My advice please ensure you have local SOM for payment in case your card is not accepted. The hotel is on the left end of the station (if you exit from the train looking towards the building station) it’s better that you call them once you feel lost as the assist you the direction. Just be mindful that you need to go through the security scan every each time you enter & exit.
However, if someone planning a train connection to other cities, this is 100% spot on recommended.
I would like to commend on the front staff lady, Dildora for her professionalism & calm demeanour. Thank you.

RrasysyarifahThe location is great and of course very easy to find. The building itself is iconic, and while the furniture is quite old, the overall stay was still comfortable and the bed was soft. Breakfast had a good variety and tasted nice as well.
One thing to note is that the air conditioner is built into the desk under the TV, which can be a bit confusing if you don’t know where it is or how to adjust it 😂
I arrived around midnight, and the check-in queue took quite a while because there was an issue with the guest before me. The receptionist was not very efficient in handling the situation, which was a bit frustrating since I was already tired. However, my own check-in process was very quick once it was my turn.
Overall, I would still recommend this hotel if you want the experience of staying in a classic Soviet-style hotel.

Friends were staying in Uzbekistan!
One of the downsides in comparing these two hotels is that they charged a tourist tax, so the accommodation was more expensive!
Breakfasts are more modest, again in comparison with the neighboring hotel, but the main thing is there, except... Coffee 😬

But...
Initially, the guys in Uzbekistan were put in a room where their windows were not only blown in, but were blown away by the wind! An extra bed for a child, they just threw in mattresses 🫣
Only after swearing and other things, they changed them to a room with renovations!
This hotel doesn't have such a problem! The room is large, quite warm! Clean, tidy! Yes, the renovation is certainly not fresh, but it's not worn out either 🙏
In general, you can live! The price and quality match! Otherwise, if you want the Soviet era, welcome to Hotel Uzbekistan! And if not, then to La Grande!
There is also a swimming pool, I think with the hotter weather it will be open!
