"I wholeheartedly recommend Wanfengyushe B&B! The balcony view room I booked exceeded my expectations. The private balcony offers an expansive view directly overlooking the Tuojiang River and the stilted buildings of the ancient city. In the morning, you can see a thin mist over the river, and in the evening, you can sit and watch the ancient city lights turn on, enjoying the river breeze and simply relaxing. It's also incredibly picturesque for photos, saving you from jostling with crowds at public viewpoints.
The room itself is spacious, and the cleanliness is impeccable. The bedding is soft, and the hot water in the bathroom is consistent, with no dampness or strange odors. The decor is a minimalist luxury style, quiet and not noisy, away from the hustle and bustle of bars.
The location is excellent, within walking distance of key attractions like Hongqiao Bridge and Wanming Pagoda. The owner is warm and thoughtful, patiently sharing ancient city tour routes and local food recommendations to avoid tourist traps.
The balcony view room offers an absolutely fantastic experience, making it a top choice for couples and friends traveling together. I will definitely choose Wanfengyushe again on my next visit to Fenghuang!"

DahaiThe hotel's location is super convenient, right at the entrance of the ancient city. It has an underground parking garage and an elevator, which is a huge plus for self-driving tourists – you can go directly from your car to your room, making luggage a breeze. The buffet is also very clean and hygienic, with a great variety of options, and there's even someone dedicated to cooking local rice noodles. There are plenty of great local restaurants nearby to choose from, and it's really close to all the main attractions. You can walk to the Tuojiang River in just a few minutes. Plus, there's a morning market next door, perfect for grabbing some fresh fruits and vegetables before heading home!

Liaw Meng BingWords cannot express how much we appreciate the service provided by this hotel. From start to finish, everything was handled with exceptional care and professionalism.
The room was squeaky clean, comfortable and very well maintained. The location is perfect—within walking distance of the main attractions of Fenghuang Ancient City, yet far enough from the busiest areas to provide a peaceful and relaxing place to rest. Unlike hotels located deep inside the scenic area, this hotel is accessible by car, making it much more convenient when travelling with luggage.
What truly sets this hotel apart is its outstanding staff. After we checked out, I realized I had left my jacket in the room. 姚姚 went above and beyond by arranging the courier delivery and personally contacting our next hotel in Changsha to ensure the package would be received. We are also grateful to driver 小吴 for taking us to the train station and helping with our luggage. There were many other staff members who assisted us throughout our stay, and although we do not know all their names, every one of them was friendly, attentive and helpful.
The team consistently went the extra mile to make our stay memorable. We highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again.

Lena SyedWe took a taxi from the railway station to Fenghuang Ancient Town, as we discovered that DiDi was not available in the area. Showing the driver “风桥 (Fengqiao)” helped identify the correct drop-off point. The journey took approximately 15–20 minutes and cost around 25–26 yuan.
Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the hotel staff at the entrance to the ancient town. The hotel was located just a few steps away, making the transfer very convenient.
The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. One of the highlights was the balcony overlooking the river, which allowed us to enjoy the beautiful scenery and soak in the unique atmosphere of Fenghuang Ancient Town without even leaving the room.
The combination of the excellent location, scenic river views, and attentive hospitality made our stay very enjoyable. We would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Fenghuang Ancient Town.

Guest UserFenghuang Ancient City is an absolute must-visit. This hotel I booked is highly recommended. The location is excellent; if you take the shuttle bus from the high-speed train station to the ancient city, it's only about a 400-meter walk to the hotel once you arrive. It's also very close to Hongqiao Bridge. Although it's not riverside, the stay experience was fantastic. The hotel staff were incredibly warm and helpful. They contacted me the day before my arrival to explain how to get from the train station to the hotel, which was very thoughtful. They even proactively upgraded my room! The room was spacious, very clean, and quiet. Since my high-speed train wasn't until the evening of the next day, the hotel extended my check-out time to 2 PM, allowing me to enjoy a nice nap. Upon check-out, the hotel even gave me a thoughtful little gift (local specialty ginger candy). These details really show the hotel's attentiveness. The room pricing was also very reasonable, offering exceptional value for money. If you're not specifically looking for a river-view room, this is definitely a great and highly recommended hotel.

Lidao（huanlv66guoban）This river-view room was the best money I spent during my trip to Fenghuang Ancient Town. I'd come back 100 more times just for it! No need to jostle with crowds to see the amazing night view 😭
🏨 The room details really impressed me:
✔️ Super-sized bathtub 🛁 After walking around the ancient town all day, a soak here is pure bliss and instant recovery.
✔️ 24-hour butler service, they even personally came downstairs to pick me up.
✔️ Clean, quiet, and picture-perfect – every corner is a great photo op.
🚗 Drivers, rejoice! The hotel has its own parking lot 🅿️ Plus, it's just a few minutes' walk to the main scenic area. The best part is it's quiet despite being central! You'll get a good night's sleep. Seriously, you'll regret it if you visit Fenghuang and don't stay in a river-view room!

We had a wonderful stay at this homestay with a beautiful view of the snow bridge. The place has two connecting rooms via the balcony, and my kids really enjoyed staying here. The location is excellent and very convenient. The host was very kind, waited for us at the carpark, and took us to his homestay, and can help arrange transportation if needed. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Anonymous UserWe had a really nice stay in Fenghuang! The hotel was clean and comfortable, with a beautiful balcony view overlooking the old town. The staff at the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful - they don’t speak English, but we communicated easily through WeChat’s built-in translation chat. They even helped us figure out the different ways of getting from the high-speed railway station to the hotel.
At first, the room had only disposable towels for showering, but when we asked, they quickly provided regular towels with no problem.
A few practical notes: there’s no elevator, and we were on the 3rd floor (quite common in this area). The hotel is not accessible by car since it’s on the cobblestone riverside road in the old town, but it’s just a short walk from the bridge where taxis drop off and pick up.
The location is great - slightly outside the busiest part of the old town, but everything is within walking distance. At night we strolled from the hotel through the bridges and riverside shops into the heart of the old town - it was absolutely magical.
Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money. Highly recommended if you want a clean stay, warm hospitality, and a great location to explore Fenghuang.

We had such a great stay here! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and had such a beautiful view. The staff were incredibly sweet and kind, and always ready to help us with anything we needed. Even with the language barrier, they made everything easy and were always available when we had questions.
The location is also super convenient, especially being close to the railway station, and they even helped us get taxis which made things so much smoother. Right outside the hotel, there were also so many local restaurants with really delicious food, which made it even better.
Our balcony view honestly felt like something out of a movie right by the river with performances happening and lots of cute little shops around. We felt really welcomed the whole time and would definitely stay here again!

We cannot understate how wonderful of an experience we had at this hotel.
The room that we were given was practically spotless and well laid-out; on top of this, the room was stationed right next to the main street - we had only to walk out the door to get into the action, but at night it can be quite noisy due to the open bar - no issue for us since we sleep very late at night. We also enjoyed their songs as well. Throughout our stay, we did not experience any major inconveniences whatsoever - the room was comfortable, cozy, a bit small for 3 of us and a relief to be in after a long day of walking around the town. The large balcony is a plus. We spent a number of breakfasts and lunch enjoying the beautiful view of the town.
Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it highly to any tourist visiting Pheonix town.
