"This stay far exceeded my expectations! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, the front desk staff was incredibly welcoming and even proactively offered a room upgrade during check-in. "I wholeheartedly recommend Wanfengyushe B&B! The balcony view room I booked exceeded my expectations. The private balcony offers an expansive view directly overlooking the Tuojiang River and the stilted buildings of the ancient city. In the morning, you can see a thin mist over the river, and in the evening, you can sit and watch the ancient city lights turn on, enjoying the river breeze and simply relaxing. It's also incredibly picturesque for photos, saving you from jostling with crowds at public viewpoints.
The room itself is spacious, and the cleanliness is impeccable. The bedding is soft, and the hot water in the bathroom is consistent, with no dampness or strange odors. The decor is a minimalist luxury style, quiet and not noisy, away from the hustle and bustle of bars.
The location is excellent, within walking distance of key attractions like Hongqiao Bridge and Wanming Pagoda. The owner is warm and thoughtful, patiently sharing ancient city tour routes and local food recommendations to avoid tourist traps.

"I highly recommend this hotel to everyone because their main priority is always the guest.
The bath towels were clean, soft, and felt brand new. The shower gel was amazing—honestly much better than what I’ve experienced in many luxury 5-star hotels.
The view from my room was absolutely spectacular. I spent almost an hour just sitting by the window, admiring the beautiful scenery.
The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options, including choices that suit Western tastes.
They also provide a complimentary pick-up or drop-off service to the train station, and if you need the additional transfer, it costs only 30 RMB, which is more than fair considering the excellent service they provide.

"We had an amazing stay at Anzhidinglan B&B (Fenghuang Ancient Town). The service was exceptional—everyone was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. The river view from the room was stunning, and the room itself was clean, spacious, and beautifully designed.
The staff went above and beyond by helping us with directions, attraction tickets, recommendations for places to visit, and transportation arrangements, which made exploring Fenghuang much easier.
Since we had been travelling through several cities, having access to a washing machine, dryer, and microwave was a huge bonus and made our stay even more comfortable.

Liaw Meng BingWords cannot express how much we appreciate the service provided by this hotel. From start to finish, everything was handled with exceptional care and professionalism.
The room was squeaky clean, comfortable and very well maintained. The location is perfect—within walking distance of the main attractions of Fenghuang Ancient City, yet far enough from the busiest areas to provide a peaceful and relaxing place to rest. Unlike hotels located deep inside the scenic area, this hotel is accessible by car, making it much more convenient when travelling with luggage.
What truly sets this hotel apart is its outstanding staff. After we checked out, I realized I had left my jacket in the room. 姚姚 went above and beyond by arranging the courier delivery and personally contacting our next hotel in Changsha to ensure the package would be received. We are also grateful to driver 小吴 for taking us to the train station and helping with our luggage. There were many other staff members who assisted us throughout our stay, and although we do not know all their names, every one of them was friendly, attentive and helpful.
The team consistently went the extra mile to make our stay memorable. We highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again.

KomainWe were truly impressed by our stay. The host was incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel very well taken care of. The view was absolutely breathtaking — the bridge view was stunning both day and night. The room was spotless and very comfortable. If we ever have the chance to return, this will definitely be our first choice again.

Guest UserLocation is a strong suite of this guesthouse, in a square right by the central Rainbow Bridge. The Rainbow Bridge is pretty much your link into Fenghuang Ancient Town. The guesthouse is about a 10-min walk (with dragging luggage on tarred road) from Qifeng Square. Qifeng Square is where you can take the Fenghuang Tourist Shuttle Bus to/from Fenghuang Ancient Town (train) Station on Line 1 (20 mins bus ride for CNY 7).
Price-wise, this is overpriced compared to Wulingyuan, Zhangjiajie City and Furong Town. One is able to pay 40% less in those areas for no less facilities. All had hot showers, bathroom slippers, tissue paper, 2 bottles of bottled water. In fact, this guesthouse didn't even have hair conditioner, and the towels can be tattered (picture).
If you sleep by 10pm or wake after 7am, bring earplugs as your room might overlook a square of persistent shopkeepers hollering to any passerby to go in and eat.
No elevators but the staff will help you carry your luggages up and down when you call upon them.

Guest UserThis is the best hotel I've ever stayed in. The rooms are spacious, upscale, and impeccably clean! My stay was a delightful surprise! The service was incredibly warm and attentive. The hotel is conveniently located right at the entrance of the ancient city, just a few minutes' walk to explore everything inside. If you're tired after sightseeing, you can relax in the lobby tea bar, read a book, chat, or enjoy some tea. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic. They even gave us several student buffet breakfast vouchers! A big thank you to the lovely ladies at the front desk! The breakfast was excellent! A good variety, and there's an auntie who makes fresh noodle soup and rice noodle soup right there! Much better than eating outside and very affordable, only 15 RMB per person! Highly recommended! The hotel also offers free laundry service; they even dry and fold your clothes and place them at your door! So thoughtful! I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Fenghuang Ancient City! Every member of my family raved about how wonderful the hotel is! 👍👍

Guest UserThe staff were so enthusiastic and even offered to upgrade my room, and the night view was absolutely amazing! The recommended Tuojiang Fish King restaurant was also excellent. The facilities are new and very clean, and I was really touched when they personally picked me up from the parking lot and helped with my luggage. The service truly was outstanding!!!

Guest UserRight by the river, the proprietress is truly amazing. She even came out to greet us in the rain. No need to worry about parking if you drive, as there's dedicated staff to pick you up and drop you off. The room itself is also quite good. I accidentally booked an extra night due to a personal reason, and the proprietress was so understanding and helped me cancel it. If I ever get the chance to visit again, I'll definitely choose this place.

now that I had a week to cool off from this experience,
pros:
room was spacious, view was beautiful
had help bring the luggage the the room
was able to store luggage until evening which was SUPER nice
gave a rundown on what to see in the town.
cons:
fenghuang is going through a didi monpololy, didi drivers will not get on the app, makes coming to this destination difficult.
gave wrong direction to the recommended restaurants, we felt like we got scammed. we know how to use dianping, its actually cheaper to use dianping than anything you recommended.
felt like a used car salesman trying to be sold packages and experiences, i.e. tickets for the show for wednesday night that if I booked sooner I can get closer to the frontrow but bro its wednesday, don't pressure my dad into buying this.
so many mosquitos, they did not understand that when a room is booked, keep windows closed so mosquitos don't come in, he explained to us we were the first ones to mention this.
I asked to change rooms but the other rooms had MORE mosquitos because it was a bigger room.
language barrier was not easy.

Yijialaoxiao❤guangchiThe hotel is clean and tidy, and the service is excellent. We stayed for two nights. The location is great, not far from the ancient city. It's an easy walk to Hongqiao, the North Gate Pier, and Shen Congwen's Former Residence, making it convenient for visiting all the main attractions. It's quiet yet convenient, and there's a local market nearby where you can find delicious cured meat and kiwi fruit. Plus, there's a large parking lot right in front of the hotel, which is very friendly for those traveling by car.

We had such a great stay here! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and had such a beautiful view. The staff were incredibly sweet and kind, and always ready to help us with anything we needed. Even with the language barrier, they made everything easy and were always available when we had questions.
The location is also super convenient, especially being close to the railway station, and they even helped us get taxis which made things so much smoother. Right outside the hotel, there were also so many local restaurants with really delicious food, which made it even better.
Our balcony view honestly felt like something out of a movie right by the river with performances happening and lots of cute little shops around. We felt really welcomed the whole time and would definitely stay here again!

Had a lovely stay here, the staff were helpful, they met our DiDi (I think he called ahead?) and helped us with our bags (it is not too bad but there are staircases). They also helped when we were leaving and helped us get a taxi back to the station. Very nice room and nice balcony. Only thing that could be improved is unfortunately a few mosquitoes had gotten into the room, I think because the balcony door was open when we arrived, which is very inviting but maybe leaving it closed would reduce this problem, we closed it after we arrived. It was fine as we killed the mosquitoes and enjoyed our stay, and to be clear the hotel room is clean and nice, and I imagine it is hard to keep bugs out for any hotel located along the water. We had a great stay and would recommend!
