Vientiane Hotels with Rooftop Pools

"I had a really pleasant stay overall and would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for the value. The front desk staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. The woman at reception was so kind and made check-in feel easy and comfortable, which I really appreciated after traveling. The property itself is beautiful—the pool area is a standout. It’s well-designed, relaxing, and honestly one of my favorite parts of the stay. The room was also a great size, with plenty of space to feel comfortable without feeling cramped. Also it was an 8 -12 minute ride to the airport (depending on the time of day) which made it super easy to get to. There are also a lot of good food options nearby. I found myself going back to one restaurant, The White Elephant, multiple times—it had a great vibe, good music, food, and drinks. Breakfast was included at the hotel and had a mix of Asian and Western options—things like eggs, toast, fruit, and juices. It was simple but did the job. If you're someone looking for a more customizable or traditional Western breakfast (like bacon, made-to-order eggs, etc.), you might want to go out, but I found it perfectly sufficient. One morning they even had a pasta dish that was surprisingly delicious. The only area for improvement would be cleanliness. The shower door looked like it hadn’t been deep-cleaned in a while, and I noticed some staining on the mattress pad under the sheets. It didn’t ruin my stay, but it’s something that could easily be improved and would make a big difference. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here. The staff, the pool, and the location made it a great experience, and I would absolutely consider staying again."

"The hotel service was excellent. Someone helped us with our luggage as soon as we arrived, and the front desk staff were very welcoming. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was outstanding with a wide variety of options. Plus, it's very close to the Mekong River."

"The room is average, the staff are incredibly friendly, and the location is excellent for getting around. The only downside is that there are many Chinese tour groups, so it is extremely noisy even in the early hours of the morning, around 2 or 3 AM. Also, please note that there are a lot of cockroaches."

"A wonderful hotel with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The breakfasts are excellent with a great variety of options. I would like to thank all the staff, everyone is very kind and always ready to help. Although the hotel is not located in the very center, there is a free shuttle every hour to the night market which is very convenient. Highly recommend this place."

"This was my first time in Laos, so I chose the familiar JI Hotel chain. Their standardization is excellent, from service to cleanliness, and even the scent when you walk in is just like JI Hotels back home in China. A huge thank you to the Chinese manager, a Thai guy, and a local lady at the front desk. They recommended some great places to visit in Vientiane, helped us get medicine when we had an upset stomach, and assisted us with various other issues. They were all so patient and meticulous, and we never had to worry about being scammed. Overall, staying at JI Hotel in Vientiane felt very safe and secure! 👍 I wish all the staff good luck with their work and much peace and happiness!"

"The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! It's right opposite the Vietnamese Embassy, and the Arc de Triomphe is just a two to three-hundred-meter walk away. In China, this location would be comparable to the Beijing Hotel on Chang'an Avenue. The hotel restaurant staff, including the bar service, were all exceptionally good and made us feel very comfortable. The room was also very comfortable, beautiful, and fully equipped with all the amenities. There was even a free mini-bar with complimentary coffee, tea, beer, and other beverages. Now for the complaints! Our checkout day was Laos's National Day, and the area in front of the hotel was scheduled to be closed off. This crucial information was not provided by the front desk during check-in! We only found out about it when we saw a notice letter placed on the desk in our room after we had already settled in. Upon learning this, we specifically went to the front desk to inquire if we would be able to get a taxi to the airport on National Day despite the road closures. Different shifts of front desk staff all responded vaguely, saying they weren't sure. They had known about the road closure in advance, so why didn't they inform us before we checked in, allowing us to make alternative arrangements? This goes against their self-proclaimed five-star hotel service. Furthermore, during checkout, the front desk cashier didn't know how to use the card machine. After struggling for a long time, it was only when we prompted them to ask a colleague for help that the issue was resolved. Even more incredibly, they included a bill for charges that were not ours! Third, on the morning of December 1st, we inquired at the front desk if we could exchange some small change for US dollars. A lady with glasses at the front desk coldly stated that they didn't have US dollars. I then asked, ”Then why did you collect a $300 USD deposit from us upon check-in?” However, that same afternoon, another staff member at the front desk readily exchanged the small change for us. Why the discrepancy? Was it intentional or just negligent? In summary, the front desk staff at this hotel conveyed an inexplicable sense of superiority, yet their capabilities were limited, and they shirked responsibility. Finally, there aren't many shopping or entertainment venues near the hotel. Its city-center location, high level of comfort inside the rooms, and excellent rooftop bar are definite advantages. This is just for everyone's reference."

"Even there is an old hotel but still Clean and near tourist attractions, easy to walk and drive. The staff are very friendly and polite, and they give excellent advice on travel and sightseeing. also this hotel have swimming pool and Breakfast that very yummy🫶🏻"

"The hotel's bedding is really comfortable, the bathrobes are also very clean, and the electronic scale is also very good, the overall color is still relatively harmonious. The first stay was very satisfied, the front desk service was very good, we were still working in the lobby, there was a spacious check-in room in the lobby, and it was quite good to have business banquets and talks. The biggest convenience of this hotel is to provide us with great convenience for business guests. You can also drink coffee, tea, and the grid room, which are all considered for our business people. "We are a family of 3 staying in 1 room and had a great time. The service was impeccable, staff were always polite, helpful, willing to help and always went over the top for us. Special shout out to Aiy, and the duty supervisor whom we didn't get the name of. The restaurant service at Origin was amazing. We want to give a special mention to May, Kitty and Zaiy who've helped us with organizing vegetarian food and going & beyond to make us feel so special! 10/10 would recommend to those looking for a centrally located hotel and are keen to indulge themselves a bit."
