"Me and my cousin had a great time at Villa Ensoleille with well-stocked kitchen, and stunning view from jacuzzi. Staffs are so friendly and welcoming, special thanks to Manager Mr. Hiroyuki-san for your hospitality. The villa is with an amazing view of Mt. Fuji and the environment is peaceful as well. We got an amazing time with an incredible Mt. Fiji view. Highly recommended Villa Ensoleille."

GGuest UserThis is a total hidden gem in Mount Fuji area! The host was very very kind - She showed us how to use all the facilities including the onsen and sauna when we checked in with great details. She also kept in touch with in via email, assisting us in every way she could. She even welcomed us with drinks and snacks! As for the villa, it was very clean, spacious and cozy. It's also very well equipped with kitchenware and all the necessary amenities! They also have a family-owned restaurant which is just steps away from the villa. We enjoyed a shabu shabu dinner during our stay and absolutely enjoyed ourselves! Thank you so much Kim for making our family vacation so enjoyable and memorable!
GGuest UserDelighted! Impressed! A spacious house with everything you could need for a country getaway. The views of the lake from the bedroom are stunning.
GGuest UserThe hotel offers free electric-assist bicycles right at the entrance, making it super easy to cycle around Lake Kawaguchiko. The private open-air bath on the top floor requires on-site booking, and I highly recommend reserving the 4-5 PM slots to catch the sunset.
GGuest Userthe hotel is great with many facilities. The hot water tube was broken upon our visit but there was refund for compensation which had given us a very good impression. The view is nice, but it hugely depends on weather -- can see the fuji mountain clearly on sunny days but not that pleasant on rainy days. The hotel is a bit far from the nearest bus stop which requires a 20-minutes walk. Overall, the hotel would be a nice choice if you want to enjoy fuji view.
AAnonymous UserThis is a very old Japanese-style hotel with outdated facilities. Check-in was at 3 PM, and we arrived at noon to drop off our luggage, but there was no one at the front desk, which startled us. We were only able to drop off our luggage after seeing the hotel manager. The hotel is located by Lake Yamanaka, and although it's close to Asahigaoka Station, it's inconvenient to walk along a small path from the station with luggage. Also, you can't see Mount Fuji. The hotel offers self-service bicycles for rent. The onsen (hot spring) was too hot to soak in. The only good thing was the dinner, which was Wagyu beef and very delicious. When we left, the owner even drove us to Asahigaoka Station. It's more suitable for those with a car. If you're looking for a new hotel, don't consider this old-fashioned one. However, if you want to experience traditional Japanese style, you can give it a try.
Bbrayden_foongIt was definitely an enjoyable and worthy experience of traditional ryokan with tatami and futon with the best view of Mt. Fuji from the room window! The hotel itself overlooks parts of Mt. Fuji with Lake Kawaguchiko, and we even added on dinner and breakfast during the stay! They are simply one of the best meals during the trips in Tokyo! The onsen is another bonus to enjoy while seeing the view of Mt Fuji, even though it is public hot spring which might be a culture shock. Definitely worth to try it out again to enjoy the traditional Japan vibes around Lake Kawaguchiko.
