Guest UserAvoid at all costs! It's infested with bugs, and the service is terrible if you're not Japanese or white. When I arrived, I was given a room on the 3rd floor with a balcony facing a rooftop and AC vents. I asked for a higher floor, and the front desk pretended not to understand, then switched me to a room on the second floor, first row. That evening, I thought the view was unobstructed and great, and I wondered why this room wasn't fully booked when I moved. The bathroom was on the balcony, and when I went to shower, I found it swarming with thousands of bugs (no wonder the lower floors were empty). I had no choice but to use the public onsen. I hoped it might be better the next day, but in the morning, the balcony was still covered in bugs, and the outdoor bath was also full of them. It was completely unusable, which was a shame given the view. The service was exceptionally poor for Japan. The old man who brought the towels knocked three times within 30 seconds of arriving and had a sour face when I opened the door. In the morning, he completely ignored us downstairs but bowed and enthusiastically greeted white guests with a 'Good morning.'

Dara101We stayed in the traditional room which we wanted to try. It was a fun experience but not one to do if you have a bad back. The onsen is nice, there were 3 communal onsens and the one cold plunge in the ladies section. All pools were a bit small and could probably hold 6-8 ppl max. The hotel offered free refreshment drinks before 5pm after that there are vending machines in the lobby of the onsen. There's a shuttle every hour to the station in town which is convenient but would be better if they ran every 30mins. Staff are very kind and professional. I asked for towels as larger robes which arrived instantly. The hotel doesn't have anything nearby so be prepared to use bikes, scooters the shuttle or your own car

First time stay . Thought it come with the private outdoor bath but realize the official website and 3rd party booking us different ,so slightly get disappointed.
Overall stay is good with shuttle bus to pick up during arrival and checkout but do take note upon requesting it booking only. The lobby will have snacks and welcome drink which allow u free to take.
Room is spacious and clean. The dinner was great who prefer simple and varieties japanese food. The location so far is good is about 15-20min walking distance to kawaguchiko station

Kanoksri K.The room is a comfortable size and offers a lovely view of Mount Fuji from the corner. It is clean and well equipped, with individual air-conditioning in the room. All the staff are friendly and provide excellent service. The hotel also has onsen facilities, including separate male and female as well as private onsen. Parking is available, located a short distance from the hotel.

Anonymous UserWe really enjoyed the beautiful scenery, the generous room sizes with private balconies, and the quality of the onsen and sauna. Mt Fuji is literally right outside your balcony. We got to see the sunrise and the few moments when the mountain appeared. The breakfast which is included in our reservation provides a good selection of food, which is a great addition to the stay.
That said, the hotel’s current operational policies are quite inflexible and impacted our trip. The shuttle bus hours (8:00 AM–11:00 AM outbound) are too limited for those of us hoping to visit major attractions early in the day. Furthermore, the handling of the shuttle schedule felt overly strict; we were one minute late (I’m not kidding… we sat on the van at 9:01am for our 9:00am reservation) due to a quickly resolved checkout issue and were immediately called out for it, which created a tense atmosphere. Similarly, requiring guests to commit to a specific breakfast time at check-in and that all party come together as it is written in one breakfast “ticket” is unusual and challenging for those looking for a relaxing, schedule-free vacation. We believe that softening these rigid policies would greatly improve the guest experience.
Despite these logistical points, the location is a major plus, as it is within easy reach of a popular Hoto Fudo restaurant and a mall. The price point is also extremely reasonable when you factor in all the amenities and that breathtaking Mt. Fuji view. I would still highly recommend this property for families looking for a comfortable base near Mt. Fuji.

Extremely satisfied with this hotel, it exceeded my expectations!
**Facilities:** I saw some guests mention the hotel being old, but actually, the facilities are excellent. Besides the distinctive tatami rooms and rooms facing Mount Fuji, there's also the hotel's special hot spring. The outdoor bath has such a great vibe, and it's real hot spring water – my skin felt so smooth afterwards.
**Environment:** There are absolutely no issues with the hotel's environment, cleanliness, or rooms; it meets a four-star-plus standard. You can see a full view of Mount Fuji within a 3-minute walk from the hotel, with both sunrise and sunset clearly visible.
**Dining:** The hotel's breakfast isn't particularly varied; I wouldn't recommend paying extra for it. Dinner, however, is highly recommended. It offers a good variety of Japanese specialties, and many people think it's much better than eating out. Some reviews recommend the Wheat restaurant in the hotel courtyard or the restaurant across the street, but the cost-effectiveness might not live up to expectations, and the actual standard could be quite different.
**Service:** I didn't give five stars for service. The hotel's front desk offers Chinese service, and the Chinese staff are especially friendly and helpful, answering all our questions with no communication barriers. However, I was very dissatisfied with the restaurant staff, who I believe were Indian. Breakfast ends at 9:30 AM, and we thought we just needed to have our food by 9:30 AM and wouldn't get more. Instead, the server rudely told us to ”Go Out!” in an impolite manner while we were still eating our paid breakfast. These four stars are solely for the excellent front desk service.
**Additional Notes:** If you have high standards for a hotel, want a hot spring experience, and wish to be close to Mount Fuji, this is an excellent choice. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from Fuji-Q Highland and a few minutes from Kawaguchiko Bus Terminal, which is very convenient for returning to Tokyo or other places. The front desk service is fantastic; a big thank you to the Chinese lady at the front desk.

Guest UserPros:
1. The room was huge!
2. You get a full view of Mount Fuji right from the balcony window.
3. The staff were super friendly, and they even had Chinese-speaking staff members.
4. The hot springs on the fifth floor have both indoor and outdoor options. You can enjoy the views of Mount Fuji while you soak.
5. Both breakfast and dinner provided by the hotel were surprisingly delicious, and there was a good variety too.
6. They offer a shuttle service to and from Kawaguchiko Station. Just make sure to look for the shuttle with three hotel names printed on it. You'll need to remember the hotel's English name to identify it correctly, otherwise, you might end up waiting a long time at the station.
I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Mount Fuji!

Excellent hotel with a view of Lake Kawaguchiko. The room is quite spacious, and the staff is very welcoming. The hotel has an onsen, which is essentially a sauna and a hot spring pool, perfect for relaxing after a day of cycling. We booked a room with breakfast and dinner included, both served buffet style. For those not used to eating fish, rice, and other Japanese cuisine in the morning, there are also European croissants, jams, and coffee available. For dinner, the buffet features unlimited crab, but you'll have to contend with the Japanese guests for the crab claws – it seemed to me they choose this hotel specifically for that reason! The cable car is just 30 meters from the hotel, which will take you up a small mountain with a great view of Mount Fuji. It's also quite close to the bus station, about a 10-12 minute walk.
