Great
GGuest UserI booked this room specifically for the Mt. Fuji view. It was much cheaper than other hotels in the area, but really, all you're getting is the view and a place to sleep. I hadn't booked a room with an outdoor hot spring, but there wasn't even a bathtub in the bathroom, nor a large public bath. For this price, I really think there should be a tub. For meals, sukiyaki was the only option, so thankfully I'd bought some ready-to-eat meals at 7-Eleven. The view was good though.
GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything exceeded our expectations. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit.
The room was absolutely beautiful, designed in a traditional Japanese style, which made the experience feel very special and authentic. One of the highlights was the stunning view of Mount Fuji from the window in the morning — it was truly unforgettable.
We would definitely love to come back again and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.
GGuest UserThis onsen hotel by Lake Kawaguchiko offers stunning views of Mount Fuji from the room. The hotel provides a shuttle service to the train station in the morning, which is convenient as it's a bit of a walk. For the best photo opportunities of Mount Fuji, head a short distance to the right of the hotel.
BBennidaiwangFinally got to stay at Ubuya Hotel on the shores of Lake Kawaguchiko! I heard it's incredibly hard to book, but I managed to snag a room five days in advance, probably due to a cancellation. Many guests come for birthdays or anniversaries, and there were even some locals. The hotel thoughtfully provided a complimentary bottle of wine. The room was spacious with a fantastic view – a panoramic view of Mount Fuji as soon as you open the curtains. After arriving at Kawaguchiko Station, you can just call for their shuttle service, which runs from 9:00 to 18:00. Both breakfast and dinner were buffet style, offering a rich and delicious selection. Since there aren't many rooms, I practically had the open-air and indoor hot springs to myself the entire time, which was a perfect experience. For a price around 3,000, the only minor drawback is that it's an older hotel so the facilities aren't brand new, but the excellent service still makes it worthy of five stars.
MMac_RingoExcellent value for money! You can see Mount Fuji directly from the room just by opening the curtains. The restaurant is a bit mediocre; it tends to get chaotic because they cater to many tour groups. The nearest Japanese restaurant closes early, so you'll have to go near Kawaguchiko Station for dinner.
GGuest UserThe bathroom was a bit cramped, though. The sink was too close to the tatami mat, which made it awkward to wash up and water easily splashed onto the floor. However, the onsen service was fantastic – that's why we chose this place! There are two baths, so you can switch between them, and the water was very clean. It's also quite convenient for seeing Mt. Fuji in pink the next day, about a 7-minute walk from Kawaguchiko Ohashi Bridge.
Bbrayden_foongIt was definitely an enjoyable and worthy experience of traditional ryokan with tatami and futon with the best view of Mt. Fuji from the room window! The hotel itself overlooks parts of Mt. Fuji with Lake Kawaguchiko, and we even added on dinner and breakfast during the stay! They are simply one of the best meals during the trips in Tokyo! The onsen is another bonus to enjoy while seeing the view of Mt Fuji, even though it is public hot spring which might be a culture shock. Definitely worth to try it out again to enjoy the traditional Japan vibes around Lake Kawaguchiko.
KKarina Ch.Our stay at this hotel in Yamanakako was absolutely wonderful. The location is stunning, surrounded by beautiful scenery and such a peaceful atmosphere. Everything was spotless and very well maintained. We stayed in a Japanese-style room, and it exceeded all of our highest expectations — spacious, comfortable, authentic, and truly special.
The breakfast was delicious and incredibly generous. There was so much food that it was difficult to finish everything! The grounds around the hotel are also beautifully arranged and cared for, creating a very relaxing environment. We also had dinner there, which was excellent and offered at a very reasonable price.
Yamanakako itself is much calmer and more peaceful than Kawaguchiko, so for us it was definitely the better choice. We highly recommend both the area and this hotel to anyone looking for a more relaxing stay near Mount Fuji.
The only possible downside for some travelers might be the limited transportation options, but for us it was not a problem at all. There is a bus that circles the lake, and we easily reached Oshino, Fujiyoshida, and Kawaguchiko.
In the evenings the town becomes wonderfully quiet, which was actually a huge advantage. After busy days in Tokyo, the silence and calmness here felt deeply relaxing.
The hotel staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. We would especially like to thank them because my husband accidentally left his insulin medication in the refrigerator in our room. We did not even realize it was missing. After finding it during cleaning, the staff contacted us immediately and literally drove to the bus stop just five minutes before our bus to Mishima arrived to hand us the medication personally.
We were truly touched by their kindness and care. This level of hospitality is rare and unforgettable. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again.
GGuest UserThe staff at Fuji Premium Resort went above and beyond to help us when we had some difficulties.
When we went it was snowing hard and had been involved in a minor car accident. The staff kept registration open late, got us food at no extra charge from the gift shop because the dining area was closed, and arranged transportation for us to get back to our car the next day because it was not able to get up the hill in the icy conditions and no other cost.
The rooms were nice and comfortable and the buffet breakfast in the morning was delicious.
Would absolutely stay with them again.
GGuest UserTraditional Japanese hot spring hotel with beautiful lake side view and experienced front desk. The hotel is located just near the famous Tenjozan cable car station and quite easy to access to other attraction site on foot or by riding a bicycle. A 90 min all-you-can-eat hot pot buffet is provided during the stay as well as the delicate Japanese style breakfast. Hot spring can be found in each guest room and on the 2nd floor for public use as well. Overall, I am quite happy with my visit to the Breezy Bay hotel.
