"I plan to stay two nights near Mount Fuji. I filtered accommodations by positive reviews and found this newly opened lodge. Almost all reviews were good, with not a single negative comment, and when I saw it was run by a Chinese owner, I booked it immediately. The location is super convenient, just a three to five-minute walk from the station. The entire lodge is brand new and spotless, with lots of Chinese calligraphy hanging inside, which made it feel very welcoming. The dining area is quite spacious, equipped with an ice maker, microwave, and instant noodles for purchase. A 7-Eleven is about a ten-minute walk away. The scenery is incredible. I just checked in tonight and I'm really looking forward to seeing Mount Fuji's snowscape tomorrow morning. I'll share photos then. The lighting design throughout the lodge is also very thoughtful, creating a great ambiance. The owner is from Zhejiang, and he's incredibly reliable. When traveling abroad, it's common to lose signal on your phone, so you can only communicate via messages. The owner's replies were quick and his information was accurate, which is truly rare when staying away from home. The room is very spacious and immaculately clean, and the furniture like tables and chairs is still new. But I have to emphasize this! In all my time in Japan, this is the first time I've encountered such a spacious bathroom; I absolutely love it! The kettle, and all bathroom amenities are fully provided, making for a comfortable stay. The lodge also offers vehicle rentals: electric scooters and electric bikes for 2000 yen a day, and regular bicycles for 1000 yen a day, which is excellent value for money! Most outside rentals require scanning QR codes for registration, which is a complicated process and hard to manage. Here, you can rent directly at the front desk, which saves so much hassle. This is a huge plus! This was a self-funded stay, with no cooperation or advertising fees; these are my genuine, heartfelt feelings. If you're a Chinese friend reading this, please give it a like! "The room was super spacious and clean! It had a townhouse-style layout 🏡. We stayed in the innermost room, which was very new. We used the private hot spring twice a day – it was truly amazing, with constant temperature. There's also a small garden seating area behind the room, offering a fantastic view of Mount Fuji 🗻. It's a 10-minute walk from Kawaguchiko Station to the hotel. If you buy a bus ticket at the station, there's a road near the parking lot where the railway is. Taking that road is much shorter, closer than the route via Lawson, and you can get there in about 6 minutes. If there wasn't a building blocking the view in front of our room, we'd have a panoramic view of Mount Fuji. As it was, when we pulled back the curtains, we could see the top of Mount Fuji, haha!"

"🌟 Taking my kids and elderly parents to see Mt. Fuji and enjoy hot springs was an amazing experience at Fuji Lake Hotel in Kawaguchiko, far exceeding my expectations. [Smiling face][Grinning face] We visited during summer with my kids and two 80-year-old parents. Since my parents can't walk much, we decided to visit Lake Fuji and downtown Tokyo. Considering the multiple transfers involved with taking a train and bus from Narita Airport, we opted for a private car. On a weekday, traffic wasn't too bad, taking about 2.5 hours. We drove through downtown Tokyo, enjoyed the scenery, and even stopped at a rest area. However, private car rentals here are quite expensive. [Smiling face][Grinning face] We chose Fuji Lake Hotel, located right by Lake Kawaguchiko, offering fantastic views. Opened in 1971 and renovated in 1990, the hotel is older than me, but the facilities are incredibly well-maintained; you'd never guess its age. It's about 1000 meters from Kawaguchiko Station and only 400 meters from the ropeway station and boat pier. [Smiling face][Grinning face] The hotel is divided into East and West wings, with spacious rooms. If you're used to small rooms in Tokyo, you'll find these very comfortable, with plenty of space to open your luggage. We chose a package with breakfast and dinner. Dinner is a buffet with a wide variety of options, including wagyu beef, sashimi, tempura, and all-you-can-drink beverages. For breakfast, you can choose between Japanese and Western styles, both very satisfying. Both meals are served in a restaurant with beautiful views – you can sit by the window to see either the lake or the mountains. The wagyu beef teppanyaki, cooked fresh, was incredibly tender and fragrant. [Smiling face][Grinning face] Let me specifically talk about the hot springs. The public bathhouse has both indoor and outdoor baths, as well as semi-outdoor ones. It's clean and tidy, with massage chairs at the entrance for relaxation, though the public bath doesn't offer views of Mt. Fuji. Upon check-in, we were asked to choose our yukata and towels, which came in an eco-friendly bag, making for a very comfortable soak after a day of sightseeing. [Smiling face] The real highlight is the private onsen. There are private baths that can be reserved; those in the East Wing face Mt. Fuji, while those in the West Wing face Lake Kawaguchiko. Prices and sizes vary slightly. Some rooms with open-air baths also offer mountain views. On a clear day, soaking while watching the morning light on the snow-capped peak is a wonderful experience. If you want a panoramic view of Mt. Fuji, remember to go to the observation deck on the 7th floor of the East Wing in the morning for an expansive view. The facilities aren't brand new but are kept very clean, and the service is meticulous and thoughtful. There's a significant price difference between weekdays and weekends, and booking early also secures a better rate, making it good value for money if you get it. Also, there's no snow on Mt. Fuji during the summer; it's only visible about 80 days a year, mostly in the mornings before clouds obscure it around noon."

The rooftop terrace is available for BBQ. Considering the inconvenience of dining nearby, we opted for a 'one-night, two-meals' plan, which includes breakfast and dinner. Dinner is either Japanese yakiniku (grilled meat) or sukiyaki. Breakfast is delivered to your room. There are also limited-edition Mount Fuji cakes. The rooms are equipped with smart devices, projectors, kitchen facilities, toiletries, tea bags, coffee beans, and BBQ equipment. "For the second and third nights of our Tokyo trip, we booked accommodation in a beautiful and very convenient location, easily accessible to all major attractions, including convenience stores, shopping malls, and all types of public transportation. The staff provided excellent service. What impressed us most was waking up to the view of Mount Fuji from our bedroom – it was truly breathtaking. Overall, it was great and we highly recommend it."

"Hotel Mt Fuji has the best views of Lake Yamanaka and Mt Fuji. It is located high up on a hill and looks down over the lake. Shuttle bus service to and from Yamamakako iriguchi was excellent. The staff in 7 eleven kindly called for me to be picked up on arrival and again on the second day of my stay. The breakfast was the best in the past 2  weeks of my trip. Japanese breakfast is so delicious. The omelette chef was such a perfectionist and each was made perfectly. Staff were particularly helpful and the public baths , there are 2 different locations ,are excellent, both very different. The hotel itself is very old and dated and could do with a renovation. However saying that, the room was very spacious and comfortable. I loved being able to open the window which had an insect screen and have fresh air. The only thing I did not like is that you could not wear your yukata to breakfast. No big deal really. I would highly recommend Hotel Mt Fuji."

There are many accommodation options around Mount Fuji, and choosing this one was a rare stroke of luck. When I was choosing a place, this guesthouse hadn't been open for long, and there was only one review on the platform at the time, which made me a little hesitant. However, looking at the photos taken by the host and the arrangement of items in the room, I could tell that the host was a very detail-oriented and reliable person, so I booked it without hesitation. After booking, I received detailed and clear check-in instructions, which were well-organized and further convinced me of my choice. The actual check-in experience far exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious, bright, and well-ventilated, and the whole place was clean and new, making it very comfortable. Although the guesthouse isn't on the shore of Lake Kawaguchi, it's not far away, just a few bus stops away, and using an IC card for transportation is very convenient. You can also see Mount Fuji directly, perfect for taking photos. The hosts also arranged for shared electric bikes, which were parked outside, providing more options for getting around. The hosts, a Chinese couple, were incredibly kind to meet fellow countrymen in a foreign land, and communication was seamless throughout. They thoughtfully provided plenty of snacks and drinks, and offered pick-up and drop-off services for check-in and check-out, saving us the trouble of lugging our luggage. When we arrived on our first day, it was already dark, and unfamiliar with the area, the hosts enthusiastically recommended a local izakaya (Japanese pub) just a few minutes' walk away. The authentic local cuisine was fantastic, and the beer and sake were excellent – ​​a very reliable recommendation. Throughout our trip, whether it was planning sightseeing or arranging routes after we left, the hosts patiently provided practical advice, offering us a great deal of help. This stay was more than just a host-guest relationship for us; it was a warm encounter, more like making friends. "A lovely ryokan located about 8 minutes drive from Kawaguchiko station. The ryokan provide shuttle bus during check in, to call upon arrival (I called via trip.com internet call) and wait at platform number 10 for pick up. They also provide free shuttle bus service to oishi park (schedule would be informed during checkingin), and free pick up from Kawaguchiko station everyday during our stay. The staff were helpful and friendly English and mandarin speaking staff are available. The service was great, as this was my first time staying in a Japanese ryokan, so I wasn't sure if every ryokan provide the same service that there is a staff led us to our room and explained the amenities to us during checking in. The breakfast and dinner was superb! We were so amazed by the breakfast and dinner everyday. The room is equipped with fridge, ice water in jug, complimentary drinks and cookies, private shower, towels, hair dryer and outdoor slipper. You can wear yukata that was provided to move around the hotel. The room window and restaurant is facing directly at lake Kawaguchiko, unfortunately it was cloudy during my stay and we couldn't catch any fujisan view. There are indoor and outdoor onsen, with the outdoor onsen offering a Mount Fuji view. Changing room has locker but make sure u bring your room towel to the onsen. And like the other onsen in Japan, facial cleanser, hair shampoo, conditioner and body wash are available. The changing room is also equipped with facial cleanser, moisturiser, body lotion, hairdryer, and comb."

"We booked a package that included dinner and breakfast. The hotel proactively contacted us two weeks before our stay to inquire about our dietary preferences, ensuring they could accommodate us. Check-in was done in our room, which was split into two levels: the dining area on the first floor and the sleeping area on the second. All the meals provided by the hotel were delicious, and all the drinks in the mini-fridge, including beer and green tea, were included. They even prepared extra snacks after dinner, just in case we got hungry at night 🤣🤣 – so thoughtful! Although the weather on the first day wasn't great, we were lucky to have beautiful weather on the second, allowing us to clearly see Mount Fuji from our room and even from the onsen area! We also woke up early to drive to Lake Yamanaka, which was about a 10-15 minute drive, to watch the sunrise. After enjoying the sunrise, we had our 8:30 AM breakfast. After eating and packing our luggage, we checked out promptly at 10 AM. Perhaps because it was the Christmas season and very busy? A staff member came to ask us around 9:50 AM if we were ready to check out, which felt a little bit rushed. Aside from that, I highly recommend it!"
