Minamitsuru District Hotels with Balcony

The room was super spacious and clean! It had a townhouse-style layout 🏡. We stayed in the innermost room, which was very new. We used the private hot spring twice a day – it was truly amazing, with constant temperature. There's also a small garden seating area behind the room, offering a fantastic view of Mount Fuji 🗻. It's a 10-minute walk from Kawaguchiko Station to the hotel. If you buy a bus ticket at the station, there's a road near the parking lot where the railway is. Taking that road is much shorter, closer than the route via Lawson, and you can get there in about 6 minutes. If there wasn't a building blocking the view in front of our room, we'd have a panoramic view of Mount Fuji. As it was, when we pulled back the curtains, we could see the top of Mount Fuji, haha!

They offer a shuttle service from Kawaguchiko Station, which takes about five minutes to reach the hotel. The hotel is a bit old-school, showing its age, but the room I booked had a view of Mount Fuji. The buffet was excellent, and the alcoholic drinks were also self-service. It's just a five-minute walk to the cable car station, which is great for avoiding crowds in the morning.

If you're heading to Mount Fuji, this hotel is an absolute must-stay. The hotel environment is incredibly beautiful, with its Japanese garden and unforgettable Japanese cuisine. Their beef and shrimp dishes were also exceptionally delicious. The butler service was outstanding; our butler was incredibly attentive. I highly recommend staying for four to five days. I only stayed for two this time, but I'll definitely be booking here again next year when I visit Mount Fuji.

This hotel has an incredible view; you can see Mount Fuji clearly right across Lake Kawaguchiko. Onsen is really great. The service was also great, there are convenient shuttle to and from the station or sightseeing places around hote. It was my own mistake for not pre-ordering breakfast, and by the time I asked, it was too late. However, the staff kindly offered to drive me to a nearby convenience store instead. I will definitely be back if I have the chance.

We stayed in the traditional room which we wanted to try. It was a fun experience but not one to do if you have a bad back. The onsen is nice, there were 3 communal onsens and the one cold plunge in the ladies section. All pools were a bit small and could probably hold 6-8 ppl max. The hotel offered free refreshment drinks before 5pm after that there are vending machines in the lobby of the onsen. There's a shuttle every hour to the station in town which is convenient but would be better if they ran every 30mins. Staff are very kind and professional. I asked for towels as larger robes which arrived instantly. The hotel doesn't have anything nearby so be prepared to use bikes, scooters the shuttle or your own car

The views are truly incredible, especially when you are as lucky as us and get clear skies for two days in a row. It’s hard to describe or show with photos the awe of Mount Fuji! You’re certainly paying for a view at La Vista Fuji, but that’s not to say the service isn’t also incredible. Many English speaking staff and always willing to try to help even if it takes a little longer to understand each other. The building is getting a bit dated and there were signs of maintenance and cleaning slipping just a little bit. Mainly cob webs in the hall ways and some expected wear and tear in the bathing areas and other parts of the building. Nothing to worry about, when the rooms themselves are kept clean and tidy.

The overall environment is good, and you can get a perfect view of Mount Fuji. The rooms have self-catering facilities, making them suitable for families or larger groups. There's a hot spring bath, but there's an additional charge to use it. The staff speaks English, which is very convenient for foreign tourists.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Villa Fuji Yamanakako. The view is truly 10/10 — we could see Mount Fuji directly from the villa, and waking up to such a breathtaking scenery every morning was an unforgettable experience. The location is perfect, with Lake Yamanakako just a 1-minute walking distance, making it very convenient for morning walks and enjoying the peaceful lakeside atmosphere. The villa itself was very comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. One of the highlights was the fully furnished kitchen — there were plenty of utensils, plates, pots, and cooking tools available, which allowed us to prepare and enjoy our own breakfast easily. It really felt like a home away from home. The environment was quiet, relaxing, and ideal for anyone looking to escape the busy city and enjoy nature, especially with the stunning view of Mount Fuji right in front of you. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, and our stay was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. We highly recommend Villa Fuji Yamanakako to anyone visiting the Fuji area. It is a perfect place for families, couples, or friends who want a comfortable stay with an incredible view. We would definitely love to come back again in the future!

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the hotel offers a view of Mount Fuji. Unfortunately, it was raining during my stay, so I could not clearly see the view. The bathroom was quite large compared to many hotels in Japan, and the hotel also provided yukata robes. There was a public onsen available, which was a nice experience after a long day of traveling. The breakfast was delicious, the room was clean, and the staff provided very good service throughout the stay. Overall, the hotel was better than expected and did not feel as old as I originally thought. I had a pleasant stay and would consider staying here again.

For some reason I was not sent a QR Code to my email to check in. I was sent a pin number which was not necessary or utilized. We arrived at the villa several hours early and called to see if we could check in early, they apparently have a strict after 3pm check-in. We found a place and paid to store our luggage and then came back to the villa at 3pm. Again, still had not received the QR Code. Called again, was hung up on. Called back, was told it would take 10 minutes. Called back and was asked for my email, was put on hold then was asked for my email again (which was already provided at booking). Then was asked to send them an email, they didn't get it and then was asked to send to personal icloud email. They finally found my email and sent the QR Code to me at close to 4pm which was an hour after check-in and we had to stand out in the sun the entire time. This was so frustrating and ridiculous. My email address was in the reservation, why it took so long is crazy. The process needs to be updated so this doesn't happen to other people. There was a huge spider above the TV in the corner, we got rid of it but it was creepy. The view from the villa was great! The beds were nice! Loved the double showers! The body sponges are so clever and left our skin feeling smoothe! The clothes drying was very innovative and did work effectively, needed to turn the heater on twice to get the clothes dry. Towel rack on the wall was broken on the right side, the rod wouldn't stay in. The one pot in the kitchen was burnt on the bottom inside, we tried to clean it to use it but could not. We did use the grill to make dinner and it was a wonderful touch!
