TTetrapoueteIt can be quite difficult to find a place which can accommodate a family of 5 all at once so we were very happy to see 3 double beds in the family room. The room is bright and clean, the hotel location is very good. Around 10min away from Universal park; there are 2 free shuttle buses in the morning (7.20 am and 8.20 am) but you can also easily get a taxi/ Didi to there. There are several chinese restaurants right in front of the hotel.
The person who welcomed us was very nice and helpful.
I saw some comments saying toiletries would not be renewed from one day to another. You actually have to scan the Wechat QR code located next to the hotel door (street side) and the hotel staff will then help you to book the shuttle bus to the park or renew the toiletries the next day. The bed will not be redone though, that would be some possible improvement. Besides this, we will totally come back to this place.

AAnonymous UserStayed for 2 nights in Oct 2024, planned for 1 night to visit around the town itself and another night for the Simatai Great Wall.
1. Location - Inn is located within Gubei Watertown and it is necessary to go through the watertown to visit the Simatai Great Wall. By booking an accommodation within the town gives you discounted entrance price into the town and since we planned to visit the great wall and explore the town itself we have decided to stay for 2 nights (also partly the cost and time to travel there from Beijing). Inn is located near the main square where some performances are held and near a shuttle service stop (free shuttle services within town if you’re staying in an accommodation within town. Overall a good location within town.
2. Room - Booked a family room for 4 (2 single beds in each level). Room is mostly made of wood hence its not really a modern feel and its not really sound-proof which the staff has notified in advance. Room is spacious and bathroom is big. Stairs that goes up to the 2nd level is stable but can be a little steep for seniors. Overall the room is decent. It comes with tomatoes, peanuts and tea as welcome gift.
3. Luggage - There’s a luggage service whereby you can arrange for your luggage to be transported to your hotel from entrance, and from hotel back to entrance. This is definitely needed as the ground in the watertown is not a smooth surface and can be hard to carry your luggages around.
4. Services & breakfast - Staff’s services is really good and efficient! Breakfast is simple but has good variety. There’s the buffet portion which consists of small dishes for porridge, bread, bun, drinks etc. And there’s an alacarte portion where you need to order in advance the night before such as bacon, egg, sausages, noodles etc. i think its a good initiative to avoid wastage.
Overall a very good stay and would recommend if you are visiting Gubei Watertown and would like to stay in a more traditional feel.

MM57211****The owner contacted me in advance and upgraded us to a Harry Potter themed room for free, which was perfect given its proximity to Universal Studios. They even provide themed costumes and props for photos. It's a great place to stay the night before visiting Universal. We checked in quite late, but the owner patiently waited for us and promptly answered all our questions. The room was clean and tidy, and they provided disposable towels and toilet seat covers. We ordered breakfast for delivery, and it arrived quickly.

MM249140****This hotel is truly beautiful and cozy. At night, you can see a sky full of stars, and during the day, it's the incredibly spectacular Shuiguan Great Wall! It's not crowded, and the angles are perfect for taking photos, haha. The rooms offer great privacy and soundproofing. The food and afternoon tea at the hotel are also exceptionally delicious. It was so relaxing chatting with my family while enjoying the hot spring. In the evening, the butler even helped us light the fireplace, which created a wonderful ambiance. The service was very thoughtful!

GGuest UserThe room was incredibly spacious, much better than a typical hotel, perfect for a big family without feeling cramped. The bed was large and the bedding very comfortable. Everything was spotless. The host was also very welcoming. We stayed for several days, and the subway station downstairs made it super convenient to get around. We could even walk to Workers' Stadium and Sanlitun. The room was cleaned daily, and toiletries and water were replenished, which was fantastic!

KKeryn TohWe booked this homestay from 29 November to 5 December for 2 adults and 3 children. We arrived at midnight on 1 December, and the host was very kind to wait for us until past midnight and guide us on how to use the controls in the apartment.
The kids loved the two-storey layout, and each of them had a comfortable place to sleep. The bathtub was also a great bonus. Although there are some signs of wear and tear in the apartment, it did not affect our stay at all.
There is a convenience store just downstairs, as well as Chagee. There are also several eateries nearby that stay open late for supper. It’s about a 15-minute walk to Taikoo Li and Sanlitun SOHO, where there are even more places to eat and shop.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience staying here. Thank you once again!

DdabaituThis inn is located in the ancient town, and its location is excellent, right by Wangjing Street. It's quiet despite being in a bustling area, and the room is very comfortable. There's a tatami mat by the window for scenic views.
It's convenient to walk everywhere from here, and you can also go hike the Gubeikou Great Wall.
There are also many local snacks nearby.

AAnonymous UserIt’s such a cute little place to stay at with awesome views. The owners are so sweet! We checked in late because of a missed train and they helped us despite the late hour! Excellent food and cool animals on site. 10/10 would return the next time I’m in Beijing! 🤩

GGuest UserThe landlord is really enthusiastic and has been communicating with us patiently. He is also concerned about the Wi-Fi signal in the house. In fact, we are not ashamed to ask. We just want to use our own data, but the landlord took the initiative to ask. I have been helping to solve it, and finally adjusted the network speed and it is super fast! It really makes living worry-free, and I sincerely recommend everyone to come here~ The transportation is also very convenient, the downstairs is full of delicious food, and there is also a 24h convenience store
