Taste authentic local deliciousness under the recommendation of the eldest sister, you can feel the local food characteristics without leaving the hotel, and you will get full surprises. From welcoming guests at the door, room accommodation to breakfast, the whole process service is intimate and thoughtful, the staff are friendly and sincere, and there is no perfunctory. My housekeeper came in most days to refresh the room, and each time I'd ask for the same drinks. After a few days he just knew -- knew what I wanted, knew I wasn't feeling well. He'd heard me coughing while he cleaned and was clearly paying attention. On my last day, when I had DND up and didn't want any service at all, he quietly left a bag of my favorite drinks outside the door anyway. No knock, no disruption. Just a person who had been paying attention all week and wanted to take care of me. That kind of warmth doesn't come from a training manual. I won't forget it. The room itself held up beautifully for a long stationary stay. Clean, accurate to the photos, well-appointed. Floor-to-ceiling windows, two bathrooms, excellent shower pressure, generous storage, a proper tea set, and a beverage bar housekeeping kept replenished without being asked. The slippers were genuinely excellent -- better than some five-star properties I've stayed at. For seven nights of recovery during a national holiday, this hotel and its people delivered everything that mattered.

The location of the hotel is OK, more than ten minutes by taxi from Shanxi Museum, there are many restaurants around to eat, and it is not too far to walk. The hotel room is also relatively spacious, especially the washing space is relatively large, and the configuration of a smart toilet is more practical. The service level is quite good. It seems that after professional system training, whether it is the front desk staff or the cleaning staff, they can also take the initiative to greet guests. In contrast, the service level of the restaurant staff is lower than they are. The previous comment said that the breakfast was good. After the personal experience, I found that there were many types of breakfast, but the quality was very general. For example, the quality of Western bread and other quality is very general; the quality of Chinese pasta is also very general, and there are very few types of halogens. After two days of breakfast, I didn't go to eat the last day, and finally chose the KFC breakfast opposite the hotel.

This Spring Festival, we chose to travel by car. On the way back to Beijing, we encountered heavy snow. Faced with the closure of the highway and the inability to drive on the provincial road, we chose to rest in Taiyuan. We were very embarrassed and waited for the snow to stop. The first time we went to Taiyuan, we chose the La Quinta Wyndham Hotel, which was closest to us. During the hotel check-in process, including dining, there were some minor problems because there were many stranded customers at the time. I also got angry with the hotel staff. At this time, the restaurant manager Chen Feilong gave very professional help and service, and there was also a tall hotel manager who helped us solve all the problems, allowing us to feel warmth and love in hunger and cold. Although the sudden bad weather made the trip a little unsatisfactory, Wyndham's professional and warm service made up for all the regrets and gave a five-star rating!

This hotel was the best one we stayed at during our trip to China (Taiyuan/Xi'an/Beijing), even though the hotels in the other two cities were also very good and unique. The hotel is designed in the style of a traditional Shanxi compound, which is incredibly distinctive. It features multiple courtyards, each with its own unique ambiance, making it perfect for photos. The hotel offers a free 'young lady' (少奶奶) / Hanfu dress-up experience. We didn't pay for additional makeup and styling, but still took many great photos around the hotel ourselves. The hotel's location is also superb. It's just a 2-minute walk to Food Street and Liuxiang Pedestrian Street, a paradise for foodies and shoppers. The former Governor's Mansion and Jinshang Museum are also within walking distance. Despite being so close to the hustle and bustle, the hotel itself is situated on a quiet alley, completely undisturbed by the outside noise. The breakfast offered by the hotel was something we looked forward to every morning, eager to go and eat. It was a thoughtfully prepared, nutritious breakfast, very rich, and excellent in color, aroma, and taste. Enjoying complimentary afternoon tea in the courtyard; free self-service laundry... the hotel truly offers a comprehensive range of services. Most notably, their service stands out – every staff member is friendly and dedicated. Next time I visit Taiyuan, I will definitely stay there again.

The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable, worthy of being a high-end Huazhu Club hotel. The front desk was warm and attentive. Although there were some minor issues, they were quickly resolved after communication. There are some good local restaurants near the hotel, including one with authentic Chang'an Noodles. Shopping is also conveniently located near Tianmei, Wangfujing, and Maoye. There's a bus stop right outside, and the subway is about a 6-7 minute walk away, making travel very convenient. Good reviews.

The hotel's location is good. Although it's a bit old, it still has all the hardware facilities expected of a five-star hotel. Let me focus on the most unpleasant service experience this time. We booked a family room, which included three breakfasts. Our child had an upset stomach the night before and was throwing up and had diarrhea all night. So, in the morning, only the two adults went to eat, thinking of getting a takeaway box for the child. This is where the unpleasant experience began. The person in black, who seemed to be a supervisor at the restaurant, said that if we had already started dining, takeaway boxes wouldn't be provided (at this point, we thought we only had two breakfasts included). Later, after checking the order, we confirmed that the family room included three breakfasts. We went back to the restaurant reception to ask for a takeaway box, clarifying upfront that our room included three breakfasts and that we wanted to pack something because our child was unwell. Even then, the front desk staff said that after 6:30 AM, it's recommended to dine in, and takeaway boxes are generally not provided. She also claimed it was busy and she couldn't authorize it (even though there were no guests waiting at the front desk at that time) and that only the supervisor could approve it. I had to wait for her to call the supervisor over again before I finally got a takeaway box. Throughout this entire process, both of them had cold faces and showed absolutely no service意识 (service awareness). This definitely deserves a negative review!!!

Very satisfactory accommodation experience. The location is very good. There is a rich nightlife just a few steps away. The breakfast is recommended and worth trying. Both Chinese and Western food are excellent, and the wontons are very delicious. The service staff is very good. Although they are not experienced in receiving foreign guests, they finally solved all the problems. Mr. Liang Yichao at the front desk was very enthusiastic and thoughtfully provided lemonade. I hope to come again if I have the opportunity.

My stay at the InterContinental Taiyuan was decent overall, offering good value for money among Taiyuan's high-end hotels. The location is absolutely unbeatable, right in the Changfeng Business District, next to Mixc City. It's incredibly convenient for shopping, dining, and retail therapy, and also very close to the convention center, so getting around is no problem at all. Across the street are the Taiyuan Museum and the Bronze Museum. The room's view exceeded my expectations. From the high-floor, floor-to-ceiling windows, I could directly see the Fen River's night view, which really set a fantastic ambiance. The bedding was very comfortable, neither too soft nor too hard, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The bathroom had plenty of hot water, making for a great washing experience. Breakfast offered a rich variety, including authentic freshly-made *Daoxiao Mian* (knife-sliced noodles), catering to local tastes with fresh ingredients, perfectly satisfying daily dining needs. However, there were quite a few downsides. The room's storage space was a bit small, making it feel cramped when trying to place belongings. Even stranger, the TV's audio channel was in the bathroom, so if someone was showering, you couldn't really hear anything. On the first day of my stay, it even broke down, but thankfully, repairs were prompt.
