Daiwa Roynet Hotel Nagoya Taiko Dori Side  is conveniently located about a 5-minute walk from Nagoya Station, making it an excellent base for exploring the city and traveling around Japan.
One of the biggest conveniences is the FamilyMart located on the ground floor, which is perfect for grabbing snacks, drinks, or daily necessities at any time.
The room was clean and comfortable, although it was relatively small, which is typical for many hotels in Japan. Despite the compact size, the room was well-organized and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay.
The hotel provides a variety of amenities, which guests can conveniently pick up from the lobby according to their needs. This is both practical and environmentally friendly.
Overall, this is a great hotel for travelers looking for a clean, convenient, and comfortable stay near Nagoya Station.

Good location, it located between Nagoya and Sakae station, only 1 station far away. It is very convenient if you take airport bus from airport as there is a nearby airport bus stop, just 500 meters by walk. The room meets standard and is comfortable, It is valuable. The Japanese breakfast style is available if you enjoy them, you will love it.

Great environment, comfortable stay, clean bedding, and a peaceful night's sleep – I slept really well. This stay was excellent! The hotel environment is clean and tidy, the room is comfortable, and the facilities are well-equipped. The staff are warm and attentive, always ready to help promptly with any issues. The hotel's location is also very convenient, making it easy to get around and find places to eat. Overall, it offers great value for money. I'll choose to stay here again if I have the chance, and I highly recommend it to anyone planning a visit!

This is a very standard, reliable Japanese business hotel overall.

The location is quite convenient, about a few minutes' walk from Nagoya Station, making it suitable for those catching the Shinkansen or airport lines the next day, or those just staying for a short stopover in Nagoya. The hotel exterior is easy to recognize, and there are convenience stores and restaurants nearby, so it's quite convenient if you're arriving with luggage. However, it's not right outside the station, so if you have a lot of luggage or it's very hot, you'll still have to walk a short distance.

The lobby and front desk area are clean and bright, with a simple business-style decor that isn't flashy but is pleasant to look at. Next to the front desk, there are self-service amenities like tea bags, coffee, and small toiletries that you can take as needed, which is very practical for a Japanese hotel. The staff also handles check-ins in an organized manner, with clear procedures.

The rooms are typical of Japanese city hotels – clean, fully functional, and suitable for a one-night stay to organize luggage and continue your journey the next day. This isn't a resort hotel; it's more like an efficient urban pit stop: take a shower, get some sleep, recharge, and head out again the next morning.

The hotel's location is pretty good, 1.3 km from the train station and 1.5 km from Matsuzakaya, making it convenient to get around. However, the layout of the hotel is quite baffling; the room is almost entirely taken up by the bathtub and toilet, and the soundproofing is extremely poor. The elevator is also incredibly slow, and the public bath is tiny. Avoid this place during Golden Week holidays.

The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. We were able to open two 26-inch suitcases without a problem. The location is absolutely fantastic, with plenty of shopping options like Daimaru, Parco, and Shinsaibashi right around the corner. It's also close to the subway, making it a quick 30-minute ride to USJ. The hotel has five washer/dryer combos, which was incredibly convenient. We didn't book breakfast at the hotel, but there are many cafes nearby that are perfect for breakfast. Plus, there are tons of great restaurants in the area. I'd definitely book here again on my next visit.

Traveling solo in Japan, I snagged a great deal on this place, and it was incredibly clean. It looks a bit small, but it's perfectly comfortable to stay in. At 187cm, I fit on the single bed with plenty of room. The front desk staff were very welcoming and always had a smile. Toiletries are self-serve on the first floor, where you'll also find a complimentary coffee shop and a large communal bath. Overall, highly recommended!

The place was quite clean, but the location is not very convenient. The staff’s attitude was extremely poor. I only requested a towel change, so I put my used towel in the provided towel change bag, hung it outside the door, and pasted the request sticker as instructed. The cleaner took the towel but didn’t provide a new one.

I went to the counter to ask for a new towel and questioned why the cleaner didn’t replace it. The staff asked me what time I put the sticker, and I replied ‘11 am’. He then said, ‘No sir, you have to put it before 10 am. Later than that, we won’t change it!’ I was shocked and pointed out that the card stated towel changes are between 10 am and 11:30 am. Instead of explaining politely, he raised his voice and insisted, ‘Sir, you don’t understand, you must put it before 10 am.’

He then said he would send me a towel to my room. Honestly, what kind of attitude and service is this?

It’s a great hotel in a very convenient location. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Some of the staff in the reception spoke really good English. Those who didn’t were also able to help us with information using the translation device, which I thought was really good. Housekeeping were really nice, friendly and good at their job. They have an amenity area in the reception where you can pick up amenities like toothbrush, comb, razor, as well as tea, coffee and bathsalts. Room was a bit small but it was very cozy. I loved how the toilet seat was heated. The central temperature control was good. The working area being there was very convenient for me as I need to work while on holiday sometimes. Check-in and check-out can be done using the machine as well. We had a early morning flight and using the machine to check-out was very easy. Breakfast was good as well, there were western and japanese choices and if you were to not use your breakfast coupons, you can redeem it for a souvenir at the reception but it has been redeemed on the same day. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel and will be staying here again on my next trip to Osaka.

The deluxe room type is quite spacious for Japan, with excellent soundproofing and complete facilities. The hotel staff's service attitude is outstanding. The breakfast was good, but the door on the side of the restaurant facing the road was drafty, making the environment a bit cold.

The hotel's location is excellent; it's not as noisy as the Namba or Shinsaibashi areas. Nearby, you'll find Kintetsu Department Store, Aeon's lifestyle supermarket, and Don Quijote. Across from the hotel, there are popular dining options like Yoshinoya and a noodle shop, and right next door is the delicious Notokanasawa Yakiniku.

In terms of transportation, the airport limousine bus goes directly to Kintetsu Department Store Uehonmachi Station, which is a very short walk to the hotel. There are also multiple subway lines for convenient travel.

This was the best hotel I stayed at during my entire trip to Japan! After traveling around Japan for several days and changing accommodations multiple times, the warm and gentle hospitality of the Okinawan locals truly touched me. I was traveling alone and had planned to take a boat to an ecological island, but unfortunately, I was feeling extremely unwell due to my period and almost missed my boat. The front desk staff were incredibly thoughtful; they immediately found an online Chinese translator and patiently assisted me with changing my boat ticket, allowing me to board smoothly and see the stunning turquoise ocean scenery as planned. Receiving such comprehensive care when traveling alone and feeling unwell filled me with gratitude and emotion. The staff were gentle and patient, and I genuinely recommend this hotel! I am so grateful for the hotel's immense kindness and warmth! I traveled to Okinawa, Osaka, and Kyoto, but the experience at this hotel was the best. Okinawan locals are truly exceptionally friendly and passionate.

The room size was decent, and after pushing the beds together, there was enough space to open a 32-inch and a 20-inch suitcase. The lobby had a good selection of toiletries, maintaining the usual Daiwa quality. The hotel's location is excellent; after exiting Makishi Station on the Yui Rail and turning right, you can follow the elevated walkway directly to the hotel's sign – it’s very convenient and easy to find. There's a local supermarket downstairs that we visited daily, and it's also very close to Kokusai Street, just a ten-minute walk. For a family of three, the price was reasonable, making it a highly recommended choice.

This hotel offered a super hassle-free stay with excellent value for money! The breakfast selection was incredibly rich, featuring Okinawan local specialties like Okinawa soba noodles, Blue Seal purple sweet potato ice cream, Sata Andagi (Okinawan doughnuts), and jasmine tea, providing an immersive taste of local flavors. They also had classic Western breakfast options, including croissants, buttered bread, sausages, fried eggs, coffee, and juice, satisfying both Eastern and Western palates.

The room amenities were very thoughtful, equipped with pajamas, a magnifying mirror, deodorant spray, and a refrigerator – more than sufficient for a daily stay. At the front desk, you could pick up complimentary combs, body scrub towels, toothbrushes and toothpaste, face wash headbands, cotton swabs, mouthwash, and tea/coffee bags. Other toiletries needed to be brought by yourself.

The location was absolutely fantastic! Right next door were Lawson and 7-Eleven convenience stores, making daily shopping super convenient. Across the street from the hotel, there was a delicious izakaya, and within a few hundred meters, you'd find all sorts of food establishments, so you'll never run out of places to eat and explore. Getting around was also incredibly easy; the meeting point for day tours was just a 300-meter walk away. You could walk to Tomari Port in 20 minutes or take a 6-minute taxi ride, making it super convenient for planning Okinawa day trips – a top choice for independent travelers. Fantastic hotel! It's very clean, and during our five-day stay, they changed our sheets and cleaned the room every day. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the view from our window was beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay here!
