Choosing the Fushimi Daiwa Hotel for my Nagoya trip was a great decision, the overall stay was incredibly hassle-free!

The location is super convenient, just a 3-minute walk to Fushimi Station. Whether it's taking the subway to Nagoya Castle, the Sakae shopping district, or catching the JR to Chubu Centrair International Airport, it's all very accessible. Plus, there are 24-hour convenience stores and Japanese izakayas nearby, so you don't have to worry about snacks or late-night meals.

The room, while not spacious, has a refreshing Japanese minimalist style. The storage design is incredibly thoughtful; I could open my suitcase without it taking up too much space. The bedding was just right in terms of firmness, so I slept very soundly. The bathroom had a wet/dry separation, ample hot water, and complimentary toiletries and pajamas were provided – excellent attention to detail.

The service was also very warm. The front desk staff communicated in simple English, check-in was quick, and they even proactively gave me a Nagoya sightseeing map with recommended routes. Every day before heading out, the housekeeping staff would clean the room spotlessly, even wiping away water stains from the table without a trace.

Breakfast mainly consisted of Japanese set meals, featuring freshly grilled salmon, tender tamagoyaki, and piping hot miso soup, accompanied by side dishes and rice. It was a light and comforting meal, perfect for starting a day full of energy.

If I visit Nagoya again, I'll most likely choose this hotel again. The value for money and convenience are simply unbeatable!

Just opposite JR Nagoya Station and with a Lawson Store (with Ghibli murals) just next to it. There is a Genkan that separates the guest room door and bathroom from the bedroom, very thoughtful design and set up. Amenities wise will be better if can be consistent with its Kyoto and Tokyo outlets, to include free flow drink machines (Kyoto), foot patch and bath powder (Tokyo). Overall, still a great stay and will recommend for visitors who prefer proximity to train station/bus station.

Location is good, about 5-6 mins walk from Nagoya Station. Easier to walk even with big luggage. 7-11 connected to hotel.

Had a slight miscommunication with hotel front desk. Told them I need store luggage overnight as I will stay overnight in another town, front desk said ok but when I checked out the lady said cannot if I do not have another reservation with them. Other than this slight miscommunication, all else is good.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! Honestly, I can't find anything to complain about, except maybe the price. The facilities are new, the service is impeccable, and the three single beds were incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was exquisite with a wide variety of options, and the room was spotlessly clean. The location is also a huge plus – there's a 7-Eleven right outside and a Don Quijote just a short walk away. It's about a 15-minute walk to Nagoya Station and 7-8 minutes to Fushimi Station, making it super convenient for visiting the Science Museum, Osu Shopping Street, and Sakae shopping area. The room itself was very spacious, and they even provided free bottled water and ice pops. I'll definitely be staying here again next time I'm in Nagoya!

I stayed with the Roynet hotels before but this was my first time at this location. It’s a little further away compared to some other options closer to the hotel but it worked out well enough for me.

A small gripe is the ground floor elevator only services the check in lobby but it’s only a small delay with getting in and out of the hotel. I thought everything else about the hotel was great. 

At first I was worried about the road noise because it’s directly by the road. The road noise is audible during the day but I’m a light sleeper and the road traffic went down enough significantly during standard sleep hours that when I woke up I didn’t even realize I slept past my standard bedtime.

The amenities are standard like most hotels provide. I love the bed and pillows at this location. They weren’t too firm and not too soft. My neck was very happy.

I’ll definitely consider this hotel in the future.

The location is excellent, just turn left downstairs and you're at Shinsaibashi. There's a supermarket, noodle shop, and coffee shop nearby for breakfast. There are also two popular ramen shops downstairs that always have a queue.

The room is small but well-laid out, clean, and hygienic.

There's an elderly gentleman at the front desk who speaks Chinese and is very friendly.

I would choose to stay here again next time.

## Facilities
Our room was on the 14th (top) floor, which was great as it didn't get too hot from direct sun, and we could open the windows for fresh air. The ice machine and vending machine on the top floor were a fantastic amenity; drinks bought from the FamilyMart downstairs were so much more refreshing with ice in the evenings. The public bath on the second floor was fairly standard. Bathing clothes were changed daily, and each bath could comfortably fit 4-6 people, with five seated washing stations.

## Cleanliness
On the first day, a strong smell of smoke (or perhaps mold) hit us immediately upon entering the room, which was very uncomfortable for my sensitive respiratory system. I can confidently say it was the strongest smell I've encountered in a hotel in Japan. The room wasn't cleaned thoroughly either; there were hairs on the floor. The person cleaning our floor seemed to be of South or Central Asian descent. I don't mean to stereotype, but I have to say, Japanese service standards aren't quite what they were 10 years ago.

## Location & Environment
The JR station entrance is right outside, and you can access the subway through the same underground passage, which was incredibly useful during the 40-degree heat. However, I have to give a huge thumbs down for breakfast. The hotel doesn't offer its own breakfast; instead, they use the coffee shop next door. While the coffee was fine, we had to endure five days of truly awful toast, hot dogs, and waffles – they were genuinely unpalatable.

The hotel is incredibly convenient for getting around. It's right next to the Kyoto Bank, downstairs from the building, which is where the Kitahama subway station on the Sakaisuji Line is located. This line is super handy for finding your way back to the hotel after a day out. We initially used the Midosuji Line, but that was quite a bit further from the hotel. As for the room, it's typical 'Japanese style' – cramped and small. Our window faced an office building. You can pick up daily toiletries on the 3rd floor. There's no place to get direct drinking water. Each person gets one complimentary bottle of mineral water per day, but you have to put a magnet on your door to request it, and you also need to put a magnet on your door if you want your room cleaned.

This hotel is good location, it near metro yotsubashi line - you can walk to the station (Y14 yotsubashi station or Y13 hommachi station) 
And around hotel area have good place: Mel roaster-Good coffee shop. , Midway bar- in launch they sell rice with curry. It so delicious. , The Fresh market- have a good fresh strawberry. , and front of the hotel have public park.

The front desk staff were very friendly and spoke fluent English. Checking out was super easy using the self-service machine, where I could just drop off my room card, and it even had a Chinese interface option, which was very convenient. The room was clean and the facilities were great, but it was really tiny. It was okay for one person, but definitely not suitable for someone traveling and shopping, as there was barely enough space to open a large suitcase without feeling cramped. However, for this price, I can't really complain.

On a positive note, the hotel's location is excellent. To the left, there are several drugstores, including Matsumoto Kiyoshi. Across the street, you'll find Yoshinoya, Marugame Seimen, and FamilyMart. To the front left is Kintetsu Department Store, offering stationery, cosmetics, UNIQLO, Daiso, Muji, and all sorts of delightful little items. Plus, you can get a tax refund on the 8th floor if your purchases exceed 5,500 yen. The subway entrance is right downstairs, just one stop to Nihonbashi, two to Namba, and three to Shinsaibashi – incredibly convenient. A short walk to the right, there's also a Don Quijote, which is great for picking up food, open-shelf cosmetics, and toiletries, and they also offer tax refunds.

For a price of around 500-600, this hotel is quite a good deal.

✅ The hotel is right at the entrance of Makishi Station, making its location absolutely superb. It's a 1-minute walk via an overhead bridge, so you barely even need to be in the sun – super convenient!
✅ Downstairs, there are two convenience stores and a large supermarket. All sorts of dining options are available nearby, with plenty of restaurants to choose from.
One evening, we went to explore the big supermarket and found many discounted items. We bought sushi, rice balls, salad, yogurt, milk, and drinks – all very affordable.
✅ The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Although the bathroom wasn't a three-piece separation, it didn't feel cramped, and all the toiletries were provided.
✅ From 1 PM to 9 PM daily, the lobby offers complimentary iced drinks, including coffee, tea, and juice. It was so refreshing to come back after a day out in the summer heat and grab a drink.
✅ Breakfast was plentiful. We specifically woke up early one day to enjoy it, and they even had takeaway service afterwards!

The front desk staff were very polite. Our room in the annex building was clean and tidy. The only slight inconvenience was the single bedside power outlet, which can be tricky if you have many devices to charge. It's typical of an economy hotel, perfectly suitable for a simple stay.

The location is superb. It's only about a 10-minute bus ride from the airport. Kumoji Department Store, Kokusai Dori, and Naminoue Shrine are all just a 5-10 minute walk away. There's a 7-Eleven right downstairs, and several Chinese restaurants nearby. Right opposite, there's a highly-rated Robatayaki restaurant (4.8 on Google). It's incredibly convenient for dining and shopping.

Extremely satisfied with this hotel. It's a short walk from Gusuku-mae Station, which makes getting to the airport very convenient. The room was clean and tidy, with enough space to open two 26-inch suitcases – absolutely perfect! Plus, it was full of thoughtful design details. There's a convenience store right downstairs and Main Place across the street, so shopping and dining are incredibly easy. The staff were very friendly, and there's free coffee on the second floor. The breakfast was also exquisite. Overall, a very satisfying stay.

The room was spacious and bright, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a fantastic view. The bedding was soft and comfortable, allowing me to sleep soundly until I naturally woke up! The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the toiletries were all high-end brands – excellent attention to detail! 🧖‍♀️

The location is also very convenient, with shopping areas nearby.

Great value for money, I'll definitely choose this place again next time!
