Dongguan Hotels with Breakfast

The room was incredibly spacious with a 2-meter bed, which is bigger than the 1.8-meter beds you find in most other hotels. The ambiance was cozy, and the lighting fixtures were absolutely beautiful. Breakfast offered a great variety. I'll definitely stay here again.

This holiday, I chose to stay at the Banyan Tree Dongguan Songshan Lake. Before falling asleep, a staff member came to light an incense stick, specifically for 'anxiety relief'. I lay in bed, smelling the burning incense. I suddenly realized that this past year, I hadn't quietly waited for anything like this. Before the incense stick burned out, I fell asleep. Maybe it was the bath I took before bed, or maybe it was finally not having to think about 'what time to wake up tomorrow'. Everything was just so relaxing. I woke up naturally, and light streamed through the blinds, falling onto my pillow. The curtains weren't fully closed, leaving a gap where the light came in, slowly moving across the wall. I didn't check my phone; I just turned over and lay there for a while longer. No need to rush the itinerary, no need to reply to messages, no need to hurry to the next event. Many people's National Day holidays have already come to a hasty end. But my holiday, without a deadline, isn't over yet. I'm slowly recuperating, slowly finding myself again. This time, I enjoyed the hotel's spa and the in-room bath package. Surrounded by a sea of roses, the scent of roses made even showering feel blissful, washing away the fatigue of the day. 'Nala's Summer' made me fall in love with bathing; my skin has improved so much. I will definitely repurchase it again and again; it's so pink and pretty, I absolutely love it. Overall, this is a very thoughtful resort hotel. All the good things are hidden in inconspicuous details. Crystal from the front office provided super excellent service. The hotel's overall greenery is fantastic, providing a very invigorating atmosphere. The bedding is very comfortable, perfect for friends who want to temporarily escape the city's hustle and bustle and quietly unwind.

[Perfect Stay Experience] The room was more spacious and brighter than I expected, with fantastic views from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a sound sleep until morning. Attention to detail was evident everywhere: the mini-bar had a great selection of drinks, the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and was equipped with a smart toilet. The complimentary tea bags were of excellent quality, and it was lovely to sit by the window in the afternoon enjoying a cuppa. The location is convenient, with plenty of dining options nearby. The front desk service was warm and efficient, and they proactively upgraded my room type. Upon checking out, they even gave me a lovely little gift. Absolutely great value for money, this has become my go-to choice in this city. Highly recommended!

Location: 5/5 – Absolutely Strategic! The biggest strength of this hotel is its unbeatable location. You’re steps away from McDonald's and Luckin Coffee for quick bites and caffeine. A well-stocked mall is right beside the hotel, making it super easy to grab daily necessities. The best part? A lively night market is directly opposite the hotel! This makes finding delicious, affordable local food incredibly convenient any time of the evening. The whole area is very 热闹 (rènào - bustling/energetic) – perfect if you want to be in the heart of the action. Cleanliness: 3/5 – Okay for the Price, Manage Expectations The general cleanliness is acceptable, if you adjust your expectations. It's definitely not a 5-star luxury experience, but for a budget/mid-range stay, it's passable and reasonably maintained. Don't expect immaculate perfection, but the basics are covered. Room & Atmosphere: 2/5 – Persistent Smoke Smell The major downside, especially in the rooms and hallways, is a strong and pervasive smoke smell. It's quite noticeable and doesn't dissipate easily. Unfortunately, this seems to be a common issue in many hotels within the region, but it's definitely present and unpleasant here if you're sensitive to it. Breakfast: 1/5 – Strongly Not Recommended / Unhygienic Avoid the breakfast option. Hygiene standards here are very poor. I personally observed small cockroaches crawling on the tables in the breakfast area. This is completely unacceptable and a major health red flag. Do yourself a favor and skip it entirely. Thankfully, with McDonald's, Luckin, the mall food court, and the fantastic night market opposite, you have plenty of much better (and cleaner) alternatives nearby. Overall: This hotel is all about the location, location, location. If being in a super convenient, vibrant area with easy access to food, coffee, and shopping is your top priority, and you're on a budget, it serves that purpose. The cleanliness is tolerable for the category. However, the strong smoke smell in the rooms and corridors is a significant drawback, and the breakfast is dangerously unhygienic (cockroach sighting confirmed). Choose this hotel for the prime spot if you can tolerate the smoke and definitely plan to eat breakfast elsewhere. Who should stay: Budget-conscious travelers prioritizing an unbeatable, lively location who aren't sensitive to smoke smells and will skip the hotel breakfast. Who should avoid: Families with young children, travelers sensitive to smoke, those prioritizing high cleanliness standards, or anyone planning to eat the hotel breakfast.

The rooms are clean and bright, creating a great living atmosphere. The staff are friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any needs. The surrounding area has all the amenities you could want, and getting around is easy. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I truly recommend staying here.

It’s a great hotel in in a very good location hotel lobby and facilities were great, including free laundry service on the second floor rooms itself was fine however, I did notice that the walls were not clean and had gray and dark patches throughout the room. But overall, I would still look again service was great and front desk was friendly

The front desk lady was very helpful, warmly guiding us to the facility locations. The pool was refreshing and clean, the gym equipment was professional, and it's open 24/7. The laundry room was always available. The mall downstairs has super convenient shopping and dining, meeting all our needs without even having to leave the building. The experience was fantastic, and I'll definitely be back!

Stayed here with friends, and Nikki was incredibly helpful with the check-in process from start to finish. The room was clean and dry, and the soft furnishings were cozy and comfortable. The hotel’s breakfast was excellent, offering a wide selection of authentic local dishes as well as freshly brewed coffee for guests who enjoy starting their day with a cup of coffee. The hotel's strategic location is another major highlight. Numerous restaurants, convenience stores, and hawker stalls are situated within walking distance, offering plenty of dining options. There is also a local market just behind the hotel, where guests can enjoy authentic local food and browse a variety of shops. In addition, a large shopping mall is located approximately 1.5 km away, making it easily accessible on foot and providing a convenient place to find everything you need. Transportation is very convenient, with taxis and ride-hailing services such as DiDi readily available from the hotel to various destinations. However, one drawback is that the hotel shares the building with commercial lots, and the soundproofing could be improved. Noise from people talking in the corridors and surrounding areas could be clearly heard, even as early as 5:00 a.m., which occasionally disturbed the stay. Despite the minor issue with noise, my overall experience was very positive and well worth the price paid. The hotel offers great value for money, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. I would also gladly choose to stay here again on my next trip to China.
