@@travelwithleongthianThe location of this hotel is superb. It is only a short walking distance away from the Metro station. Within walking distance are several restaurants which serve excellent meals at reasonable prices. Opposite the hotel is a fresh fruits & vegetables market which is worth visiting. The front office staff are very helpful and will go all out to assist you. They gave useful advice on places to visit and good restaurants to go for meals.

GGuest UserCheck in and check out went smoothly as long as you can converse in Chinese, I used Google Translate and it worked well. We were in a king room and it was quite spacious, there was sufficient room to keep our toiletries by the sink and our luggage. We had a sofa, table and small chair in our room. There is a smart toilet with a heated seat. The shower pressure is really good. There is one English speaking channel. I liked that there was no carpet in the room but laminated floors. A real bonus was free laundry and they had 5 washers and dryers on the 12th floor. The hotel is within walking distance to MixC mall which is very modern and there were many eateries in the mall. Another bonus is the Songshanbei intercity railway station which is about 200m from the hotel. You can buy a ticket very cheaply and ride to Guangzhou South railway station but it is really slow, it took about 1 hour. If you are unlucky you could be standing but if you leave around 10ish you should be able to get a seat. They offer breakfast for a fee which we did not partake in. Within walking distance there is a Starbucks and McDonald’s inside the mall. I would recommend this hotel to others because of the many eateries, intercity railway station, laundry facilities and cleanliness.i

The location is great too; it's close to Songshan Lake, which is lovely for a stroll, and also near some famous roast goose restaurants in Dalingshan. It's a convenient spot whether you're here for leisure or business.

SSang TuanLocation: 5/5 – Absolutely Strategic! The biggest strength of this hotel is its unbeatable location. You’re steps away from McDonald's and Luckin Coffee for quick bites and caffeine. A well-stocked mall is right beside the hotel, making it super easy to grab daily necessities. The best part? A lively night market is directly opposite the hotel! This makes finding delicious, affordable local food incredibly convenient any time of the evening. The whole area is very 热闹 (rènào - bustling/energetic) – perfect if you want to be in the heart of the action. Cleanliness: 3/5 – Okay for the Price, Manage Expectations The general cleanliness is acceptable, if you adjust your expectations. It's definitely not a 5-star luxury experience, but for a budget/mid-range stay, it's passable and reasonably maintained. Don't expect immaculate perfection, but the basics are covered. Room & Atmosphere: 2/5 – Persistent Smoke Smell The major downside, especially in the rooms and hallways, is a strong and pervasive smoke smell. It's quite noticeable and doesn't dissipate easily. Unfortunately, this seems to be a common issue in many hotels within the region, but it's definitely present and unpleasant here if you're sensitive to it. Breakfast: 1/5 – Strongly Not Recommended / Unhygienic Avoid the breakfast option. Hygiene standards here are very poor. I personally observed small cockroaches crawling on the tables in the breakfast area. This is completely unacceptable and a major health red flag. Do yourself a favor and skip it entirely. Thankfully, with McDonald's, Luckin, the mall food court, and the fantastic night market opposite, you have plenty of much better (and cleaner) alternatives nearby. Overall: This hotel is all about the location, location, location. If being in a super convenient, vibrant area with easy access to food, coffee, and shopping is your top priority, and you're on a budget, it serves that purpose. The cleanliness is tolerable for the category. However, the strong smoke smell in the rooms and corridors is a significant drawback, and the breakfast is dangerously unhygienic (cockroach sighting confirmed). Choose this hotel for the prime spot if you can tolerate the smoke and definitely plan to eat breakfast elsewhere. Who should stay: Budget-conscious travelers prioritizing an unbeatable, lively location who aren't sensitive to smoke smells and will skip the hotel breakfast. Who should avoid: Families with young children, travelers sensitive to smoke, those prioritizing high cleanliness standards, or anyone planning to eat the hotel breakfast.

GGuest UserOutstanding hotel, highly recommended. Well-located within walking distance of Dongguan’s 33 Town entertainment district, and not too far from the main railway station. Rooms are large, clean, and very comfortable, well-stocked with lots of useful items. The bathrooms are clean and well-presented, with the full range of amenities. Breakfast is excellent, with a wide range of foods, all well-cooked and delicious. I didn’t have time to try the hotel restaurants but I’m sure they’re excellent too. The staff are efficient, polite and discreet. Check-in and check-out were both quick and easy. Amy was particularly helpful - thank you! An aiyi delivered a gift of fruit and a soft toy, which we liked, and the doorman was very polite too. I will definitely be back!

GGuest UserThe front desk service was excellent; they were very attentive and even made coffee for me. I've stayed here several times now. The rooms are clean and tidy, and I really like the decor. It's thoughtful that the front desk has a dedicated area for female guests, which is super convenient for travelers. The hotel also has a gym, a swimming pool, and a laundry room. Plus, every room comes with a charger, making it especially great for business travelers. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time. Thumbs up, thumbs up, thumbs up!

It takes only half an hour to Shenzhen Airport and an hour to Guangzhou, making transportation incredibly convenient. The facilities are comprehensive, including a gym, though it seems unmanaged with limited equipment. Massage services are also available. The room was clean and comfortable, and the front desk staff, Nicole, provided attentive and efficient service. Overall, it was a great experience, making it an ideal choice for business travel. Highly recommended!

AAnonymous UserWell the hotel just reopened these comfy queen rooms on the 4th floor which I stayed numerous times on my previous visits. So I booked immediately as I like these rooms with a big shower cubicle but I forget there's another drawback that is really a pain in the neck. Regrettably these rooms (especially the ones with the odd numbers) sit above the karaoke on the 3rd floor and it opens until 2am. Imagine the noises of music and lyrics of the singer (usually half drunk) running through the room while you are trying to get done sleep. It was a complete catastrophe that night and I didn't get to sleep until 1am. I didn't get this nightmare on my previous stays until this karaoke facility was reopened last year. I strongly recommend not to book these rooms if you're a light sleeper and have a business to deal with on the next day. Other than the above crises, the room has a update smart tv, all the mirrors were frosted and the glasses of the shower cubicle were also tinted. Without any doubts ,it was my fault to book such a room but I think it's also the responsibility for the hotel management to put a reminder on the website like they advertise late check out amenity. As a hotel is basically served as a logging purpose rather than a singing facility. My suggestion is to work on the noise barrier if the karaoke is there to stay. 😞😞😞😞😞😞😞
