Newly opened hotel in Songshan Lake. First, the positives: it's quite close to Songhu Misty Rain. There's ample parking, and the front desk staff are very enthusiastic. The hotel breakfast is very rich. The room is spacious, and even has a recliner. The bathroom area is also quite good. Small downsides: the shower cubicle is a bit small, so you can't hang clothes inside. There are no hooks for clothes near the sink outside. There's a night light by the bed, but I couldn't find the switch to turn it off. Being newly renovated, there's a slight smell, which should dissipate in a few months.

As an experienced hotel enthusiast, I had long anticipated the arrival of Banyan Tree’s first hotel in Guangdong, especially for a summer trip to Dongguan Songshan Lake. I’ve now visited twice. The hotel lobby itself feels like the beginning of an aesthetic vacation, enveloping guests in a blend of ancient tranquility, contemporary wellness, and a thoughtful, immersive experience. The front desk's backdrop features a painting by artist Wang Tiande, 'Banyan Secluded Abode,' an elegant landscape in a minimalist style that perfectly complements the lobby’s ambiance. Crystal at the front desk provided excellent service. On either side of the guest rooms are a walk-in closet, vanity, and bathroom. The bathroom is a standout, featuring Banyan Tree SPA's exclusive Thai Chamanard bath products and a Dyson hairdryer as standard – every detail screams luxury. The balcony boasts a soaking tub, offering a relaxing mineral bath experience for both body and mind. The 'Sunset Ritual' at Ri Ri Ting is a truly healing experience, where professional instructors guide guests through a singing bowl relaxation session, immersing them in ethereal Zen sounds to clear daily distractions and purify the soul. The Lobby Lounge has a stylish design with both indoor and outdoor areas. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer beautiful views of the lake and green forest, and the outdoor seating is surrounded by flowing water. It’s a perfect place to unwind with a laptop, enjoy a delicious afternoon tea, and spend a leisurely afternoon – a rare treat for relaxation. The Julius Meinl 'Little Red Hat' coffee served here was particularly to my liking. In the evening, the Lobby Lounge's menu also features a wonderful selection of signature cocktails, providing a satisfying escape into a beautiful night amidst a bustling life. Furthermore, the authentic Cantonese cuisine at Bai Yun Chinese Restaurant is a visual and culinary feast that leaves a lasting impression.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, very close to the Universiade Sports Center, with a small shopping mall nearby for added convenience. Turning right out of the hotel brings you directly to the Longfeng Villa 4A Scenic Area, which my kids absolutely loved. The reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities. The natural light and ventilation were fantastic, and a full set of toiletries was provided. It offers great value for money. We had a very comfortable and worry-free stay. Highly recommend and we'll definitely be back!

The hotel environment is comfortable, and the rooms are clean and dry. The staff, especially Vito, provided very friendly service. The location is convenient with complete surrounding amenities. The food, environment, and facilities are all quite good, and the variety of food is also very rich!

The breakfast was a joke. Better go on the street or buy in 7/11. Even no juice or normal cold water for drinking. Only basic food for desperately hungry people's. Better sklep longer than go this breakfast. Hotel room spacious and clean. Bed ok.

The location is super convenient, right next to the subway station. It's also close to shopping malls like Guomao and Vanke, so it's great for shopping. The service was warm and attentive; the front desk staff was very responsive to all our requests. I highly recommend it for your 51 (May Day) holiday trip!

Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. The room was clean, bright, and spacious, and the staff were all gentle and polite. Everything from check-in to check-out was smooth, making it a very comfortable experience. I'll definitely prioritize this hotel again if I'm in the area.

We are very satisfied with the hotel when it comes to what we got for the price. It was a very cheap stay, and in general the hotel satisfied our needs and expectations. The hotel's location is good and convenient for taking a taxi to train stations and other places in Dongguan. Service is very good. All the staff we met had a great attitude and answered all our questions patiently. The rooms and restaurand were a bit out-dated, and the rooms had a slight smell of smoke. But it was clean and spacious. The pool was not usable, as the water was dirty and seemed not to have been cleaned in a long time.

I absolutely have to give this place a five-star review! The room was impeccably clean, not a speck of dust even in the corners, and completely odor-free. The mattress was just right, offering a wonderfully restful sleep. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation and plenty of hot water. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and the soundproofing was excellent, so it was nice and quiet at night. The staff were genuinely friendly and efficient, responding quickly to any requests, and toiletries were always well-stocked. It's perfect whether you're traveling for leisure or business. Everything exceeded my expectations, and the value for money is fantastic. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit!
