The room was incredibly spacious with a 2-meter bed, which is bigger than the 1.8-meter beds you find in most other hotels. The ambiance was cozy, and the lighting fixtures were absolutely beautiful. Breakfast offered a great variety. I'll definitely stay here again.

[Perfect Stay Experience] The room was more spacious and brighter than I expected, with fantastic views from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a sound sleep until morning. Attention to detail was evident everywhere: the mini-bar had a great selection of drinks, the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and was equipped with a smart toilet. The complimentary tea bags were of excellent quality, and it was lovely to sit by the window in the afternoon enjoying a cuppa. The location is convenient, with plenty of dining options nearby. The front desk service was warm and efficient, and they proactively upgraded my room type. Upon checking out, they even gave me a lovely little gift. Absolutely great value for money, this has become my go-to choice in this city. Highly recommended!

The location is absolutely fantastic! The room was clean, and the service was superb. All the facilities and equipment were brand new. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, and the soundproofing was excellent. Breakfast was also good, exceeding my expectations!

A well-stocked mall is right beside the hotel, making it super easy to grab daily necessities. The best part? A lively night market is directly opposite the hotel! This makes finding delicious, affordable local food incredibly convenient any time of the evening. The whole area is very 热闹 (rènào - bustling/energetic) – perfect if you want to be in the heart of the action. Cleanliness: 3/5 – Okay for the Price, Manage Expectations The general cleanliness is acceptable, if you adjust your expectations. It's definitely not a 5-star luxury experience, but for a budget/mid-range stay, it's passable and reasonably maintained. Don't expect immaculate perfection, but the basics are covered. Room & Atmosphere: 2/5 – Persistent Smoke Smell The major downside, especially in the rooms and hallways, is a strong and pervasive smoke smell. It's quite noticeable and doesn't dissipate easily. Unfortunately, this seems to be a common issue in many hotels within the region, but it's definitely present and unpleasant here if you're sensitive to it. Breakfast: 1/5 – Strongly Not Recommended / Unhygienic Avoid the breakfast option. Hygiene standards here are very poor. I personally observed small cockroaches crawling on the tables in the breakfast area. This is completely unacceptable and a major health red flag. Do yourself a favor and skip it entirely. Thankfully, with McDonald's, Luckin, the mall food court, and the fantastic night market opposite, you have plenty of much better (and cleaner) alternatives nearby. Overall: This hotel is all about the location, location, location. If being in a super convenient, vibrant area with easy access to food, coffee, and shopping is your top priority, and you're on a budget, it serves that purpose. The cleanliness is tolerable for the category. However, the strong smoke smell in the rooms and corridors is a significant drawback, and the breakfast is dangerously unhygienic (cockroach sighting confirmed). Choose this hotel for the prime spot if you can tolerate the smoke and definitely plan to eat breakfast elsewhere. Who should stay: Budget-conscious travelers prioritizing an unbeatable, lively location who aren't sensitive to smoke smells and will skip the hotel breakfast. Who should avoid: Families with young children, travelers sensitive to smoke, those prioritizing high cleanliness standards, or anyone planning to eat the hotel breakfast.

I've stayed at this hotel many times now, and the front desk staff are always so friendly and helpful, making sure I get a suitable room. The hotel facilities are excellent and well-equipped; the washing machine, in particular, is a lifesaver for us business travelers. I highly recommend it to every guest; it's genuinely a great stay, and the surrounding area is very pleasant too.

The hotel’s breakfast was excellent, offering a wide selection of authentic local dishes as well as freshly brewed coffee for guests who enjoy starting their day with a cup of coffee. The hotel's strategic location is another major highlight. Numerous restaurants, convenience stores, and hawker stalls are situated within walking distance, offering plenty of dining options. There is also a local market just behind the hotel, where guests can enjoy authentic local food and browse a variety of shops. In addition, a large shopping mall is located approximately 1.5 km away, making it easily accessible on foot and providing a convenient place to find everything you need. Transportation is very convenient, with taxis and ride-hailing services such as DiDi readily available from the hotel to various destinations. However, one drawback is that the hotel shares the building with commercial lots, and the soundproofing could be improved. Noise from people talking in the corridors and surrounding areas could be clearly heard, even as early as 5:00 a.m., which occasionally disturbed the stay. Despite the minor issue with noise, my overall experience was very positive and well worth the price paid. The hotel offers great value for money, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. I would also gladly choose to stay here again on my next trip to China.

Having been traveling with my kids and staying at various five-star hotels for over a decade, I can confidently say that the Marriott Dongguan is among the most comfortable mountain-view hotels in Guangdong. I especially love the beautiful swimming pool, the proactive and attentive service at the Executive Lounge, and the sincere and professional attitude of the lobby reception manager...

The location is absolutely fantastic! It's a mere 3-minute walk to Chang'an Station for the Suishen Intercity Railway, making trips to Shenzhen Airport and the Exhibition Center incredibly fast. Plus, self-parking is free. The room was spacious and clean, with excellent soundproofing, and the bedding was soft and comfortable – I slept like a baby until I woke up naturally. The service was professional and attentive; check-in and check-out were both very efficient. There's even a cute robot that delivers meals! The breakfast spread was extensive with fresh ingredients. This truly lives up to its reputation as a benchmark international five-star hotel in Chang'an Town!

Nice location with restaurants nearby, cross border bus service to HK/HK airport. However I had a terrible experience at the swimming pool. Apparently it has been outsourced to a private entity so the service was really bad. The pool attendant (a younger male staff) was neither friendly nor helpful, so I could not enjoy my lap swim. That's why the star rating for service drops to 2. This is my third time staying in this hotel and I met him every time at the poolside. He gave me the feeling that hotel guests are second class user next to his own local members. Other than that, the stay was as good as before
