"The location is superb. It located right at the CBD. Very easy to get around. The service was fast especially the check in process. We arrived early and got check in very fast. We complain about the cleanliness and staff was attentive upon the request we made. The staff were very nice.We got a free upgrade from 13th floor to 21st floor. The downside is that the bedsheet and pillowcase change was very slow and we waited until 11 pm even though we made request before 4 pm. The free buffet is also very average."

"The location is fantastic! It's very close to the train station, bus station, and ferry terminal, and just a 3-minute walk to South Bank Park. Service: I really have to complain about the service. I booked for four nights, and on one of those days, the room wasn't cleaned, even after I specifically reminded the front desk. The cleaning generally was quite sloppy; tea-stained cups weren't replaced, with tea stains clearly visible, and the bathroom faucet was covered in water marks. We were quite surprised to find such service and hygiene standards in a hotel of this caliber. Breakfast is à la carte with limited portions, one Western-style breakfast per person, which isn't really suitable for Chinese palates. We asked the hotel if we could cancel breakfast for the last two days, and they replied that it wasn't an issue for the hotel, but since we booked online, we'd need to coordinate with the third-party booking site. Although Trip.com actively tried to mediate, the hotel still refused. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to Chinese travelers."

I shouldn't have to choose between a nice sleep in and utilising the pool (hello 5:45am wake up time to get a spot). The Calile need to manage this better and have a policy in place that allows more guests to access this given the limited room."

"The hotel service is very poor. When checking in, they were very impatient and indifferent. They answered me with one sentence throughout the whole process: If you have any comments, I will report to my superiors. The room is very dirty, and the smell of chemicals is extremely pungent as soon as you enter. The hotel room is extremely old, the carpet is very dirty and uneven, and it is easy to trip. The towels are yellow and have obvious blood stains on them. There are cockroaches in the room. There was no Wi-Fi in the hotel on the day of check-in, because the room is on a high floor and there is no mobile phone signal. Thank you to Ctrip customer service for patiently helping me communicate with the hotel. Later, the hotel asked me to go to the front desk to inform me of the check-out policy. After I went downstairs, the front desk said: I told Ctrip that I want to talk to you in person. I said: I am here, are you going to talk about check-out? He replied: I just want to talk to you in person, and now I have said it. But I did not agree that Ctrip can check you out. Although the hotel finally agreed to check out, more than three hours have passed. The check-in experience is more subjective, but this hotel charges according to the five-star standard, but the facilities and services are completely below the five-star standard. The service and facilities are similar to those of a three-star motel. Although the location is close to the Story Bridge, this hotel is not by the river. There are many hotels around the river with better locations and guaranteed river views. The room prices are not higher than this room rate. Strongly not recommended! Suspected of advertising fraud against consumers!"

"Stains can be found in the bathroom, soap leftovers at the sink & missing toiletries !!! Only found one toothbrush and have to request for toiletries which is slow!! Waited for more than 1 hour. When pulling some of the cabinet, touched sticky stains inside (looks like soft drinks stains) Carpet edges can be edgy and hurt my feet sometimes, need to wear slipper at all times in the room Service wise not really impressive for this price range hotel, staff are friendly yes but shouldn’t expect anything more that will go for extra for customers. Whatever&whenever staff is practically not there, requested for thing or service and never heard back. Breakfast is disappointing, less variety of options, crowded & some doesn’t even tasted good Overall a disappointing stay compared to other W hotels I’ve been to (Osaka, Bangkok & Singapore)."
