GGuest UserOverall, it was a good stay, but there are a few drawbacks to consider: 1. They didn't inform me before check-in that I needed to purchase a membership card to extend my stay for a second night. Otherwise, I'd have to check out and then check in again. While it wasn't a lot of money, it left a bad impression. 2. The check-in time was a bit odd.

GGuest UserLocated in Taichung, ”Wanderlust Hotel” is a quaint, female-friendly hotel with a minimalist white design and lush greenery. The excellent natural lighting makes it perfect for photo opportunities. The complimentary exquisite handmade desserts truly showcase their meticulous hospitality. However, this stay had two major drawbacks: the pillows lacked support and were too soft, making it difficult to sleep all night. Additionally, the soundproofing was not ideal; footsteps in the hallway and noises from neighboring rooms were clearly audible, which was quite challenging for light sleepers. Putting aside the sleep quality, the hotel boasts a convenient location, friendly service, and an impressive design. For travelers who are not sensitive to noise and bring their own pillows, it remains a highly aesthetic and unique choice in Taichung.

GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located near Taichung Station, right next to the famous Miyahara Eye Hospital, which was great for the city view from my room. They offered free data printing, and there's a free washing machine (dryer is paid) on the rooftop, making it suitable for longer stays. The only downsides were that the room was smaller than I expected, and the walls seemed thin as I could hear the neighbors quite a bit, so I tried to be mindful of my own noise. However, there's a counter desk with power outlets, a coffee machine, and a microwave available for free use in front of the reception. Overall, if you're looking for a business hotel, it's quite satisfactory.

AAnonymous UserThe location is fantastic! Downstairs there's a bus station, making it super convenient to get to Sun Moon Lake. Taichung Station is also right in front, just a 6-7 minute walk away. However, even though we stayed overnight, they only provided one bottle of water per person. The next morning, when I wanted to make coffee provided by the hotel and asked the front desk for another bottle, they refused. The staff member was a bit unfriendly and expressionless, and there's no water dispenser in the lobby for guests either.

CCarBThe hotel's location is excellent, very close to the airport shuttle bus stop and Taichung Station. They offer late-night snacks and breakfast, which is very convenient. The staff are all very polite and enthusiastic, and the place is very clean.

MMalingzhuoThe location is excellent, right opposite Taichung Station. There's a supermarket, convenience store, and restaurants next door. The price is also reasonable. What I didn't like was their very strict check-in and check-out times – check-out at 11 AM and check-in at 3 PM. They charge you for exceeding these times. However, one morning, they started cleaning the hallway at 9 AM, and the noise of the machines woke me up, even though it wasn't even housekeeping time yet. Also, on my first day, my room was already clean, but they wouldn't let me check in early. This feels like a double standard.

GGuest UserThe first day we arrived there was a city cleaning and so there were so many cockroaches on the first floor but the staff was trying to clean it and it's not their fault. The rooms are very spacious and nice. Breakfast also included and very delicious. (The fries are the besttttt) Tho you have to walk a bit to another hotel, the aunty there is really nice! They no longer provide you plastic amenities but i guess that's for every hotel in Taiwan. Overall a really nice place to stay!

LLee, Pin-YiI booked a double standard room with a bathtub. The bathroom fixtures were high-quality TOTO and VOV. For a solo traveler, the space was perfectly adequate. The room and overall decor had a tasteful, elegant Japanese aesthetic. The minor dust on the windowsill was negligible. The hotel entrance is understated, but after checking in, you absolutely must visit the lobby. Take a seat, relax, and enjoy a cup of their complimentary self-serve brewed coffee – the aroma and taste are perfectly balanced, on par with a five-star hotel.

GGuest UserQuite popular and busy hotel. The front is always busy. Probably because the humid weather in Taichung and there are lots of plants in the hotel, it means there are lots of mosquitos and cockroaches as well. The room is quite dark so can’t really see if everything is clean and mosquito free.

AAnonymous UserThe room was good and clean. And they offer a self-service laundry- of course you need to pay your laundry which is fare enough. But they don't provide any toothpaste ans toothbrush, which was indicated in their front desk and before booking. I was a bit confused though because I thought the reservation includes breaksfast as stated in the site but when i arrived, i was informed that it wasn't included. But the staffs are kind and helped me booked a taxi going back to the airport at a wee hour. The room i stayed had a window, there's ref and closet with only 2 hangers. The only problem i had was the aircon which was centralized or controlled so when it is cold at night, it is hard to increase the temperature. I couldn't really sleep well.
