"If your Japanese isn't great but you're looking for excellent, value-for-money hotel service, then this is the place for you. The front desk staff are incredibly helpful; once they realize you're a foreign guest, they'll communicate with you in fluent English to ensure quick and convenient service. I didn't opt for breakfast here (there are plenty of cafes and eateries right next door, as it's Shinsaibashi after all, plus the hotel itself offers afternoon tea), so I can't comment on that. The lobby is beautifully decorated in a classic, European style. Good news – it's right next to a subway station. However, depending on the specific exit you need or if you're carrying luggage, you might still have a bit of a walk to certain lines or the street level. Let's talk about the room itself. First off, there's air conditioning, which is a big plus as it ensures consistent temperature control, preventing any hot or cold spots. Secondly, there's no smart card system for electricity, so remember to turn off your appliances when you leave the room. What really deserves praise are the beds. While the facilities might feel a little dated, the mattresses are incredibly comfortable, easily making up for any minor shortcomings in the details of the room. All in all, if you're tired from exploring Shinsaibashi, this hotel is a great option. And don't forget to check out the underground shopping arcade at the subway station – it's also worth a stroll!"

"As most reviews mention, it's incredibly noisy at night due to the location. Even though the windows are quite soundproof, it's still very loud. However, the location truly is unbeatable. Dotonbori is right outside the door, and there's a drugstore and a 7-Eleven downstairs, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient."

"The East Building is just across the street from the West Building, but it's more expensive than the West Building, even though the West Building is newer and has a large public bath. So, if you're staying at this hotel, definitely choose the West Building first. There was no room cleaning during my entire stay. I stayed for five consecutive days and not once was my room cleaned, which is a bit unacceptable. The location is pretty good. Again, choose the West Building; it also has a Lawson convenience store downstairs."

"The room was clean, tidy, and spacious, making for a very comfortable stay. The surrounding area has a complete range of commercial facilities, making dining, accommodation, and transportation very convenient. I recommend visiting the nearby Shinsaibashi for photos and delicious food."

"Just finished my stay here and honestly, I really recommend this hotel! The location is super convenient — the Kitahama station is literally just one traffic light away, so getting to Namba, Shin-Osaka, or anywhere else is very easy. The area is a quiet district, so you can actually sleep well at night (no noisy crowds). Plus, there are convenience stores everywhere — Lawson, FamilyMart and 7-Eleven all within 3 minutes’ walk. One thing I really appreciated is that the hotel has laundry machines and dryers. This is very important when travelling, especially in colder or wetter seasons. The room size is also surprisingly big, not like those micro-sized hotel rooms in Japan. Everything was clean, comfortable and well thought out. They also have a coffee machine that makes really nice hot chocolate haha. Only downside is that there are only two lifts, so sometimes need to wait a bit. Overall still a great stay. I’ll definitely come back again!"

It's less than a ten-minute walk from the airport bus stop, and close to several duty-free shops, which made my last two days in Japan feel peaceful and comfortable. "The room was a bit small, but the location is incredibly convenient for getting around and exploring! It's easy to reach the hotel from the B1 food hall of Daimaru Department Store. Plus, there's a large bus service nearby that goes to Kansai Airport, costing 1800 JPY for adults and 900 JPY for children, making it especially suitable for families with kids."

"This hotel's room size absolutely blows away other Japanese hotels in the same price range; I could open two large suitcases with no problem. The shower head is a Refa, and the location is fantastic! It's just a few minutes' walk to Shinsaibashi! Thanks to a kind tip in another review, if you have large luggage, take Exit 18 from Honmachi Station on the Midosuji Line for direct elevator access. There's also a 7-Eleven at Exit 18, which is super convenient! It's half an hour to USJ and an hour to the airport. I'll definitely stay here again next time!"

The staff were friendly and helpful, storing our luggage for us. There are plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options within walking distance. "Hotel Nikko definitely deserves a great review from me! The overall quality control, service responsiveness, and efficiency are all excellent. For the price, it's incredibly good value for money in Osaka. The hotel itself is very spacious, and it's just a short walk to Daimaru department store. On the day I checked in, there was a minor issue with the curtains. I reported it to the front desk, and they promptly sent someone to fix it at the agreed-upon time, which was a nice touch! The only slight drawback was that the lobby baggage attendant wasn't very smiling, but everything else was fantastic!"
