GGuest UserSimilar - perfect - review for the other booking we made for September. As mentioned, friendly owner upgraded us to the suite (3 rooms + living room + kitchen) for 2 nights, then we went to the rooms we had booked initially, as another family had booked the suite. Photos are of 1 of the rooms in the suite, with attached garden, but upstairs isn't too different (4 rooms, all brand-new). Everything is very clean, as advertised. Owners do speak some English, so no problem communicating (anyway, my wife, daughters and sister-in-law speak Chinese so it wouldn't have been a problem). Owner also arranged for a car to bring us to the various entrances, and the train station the last day, so it was all very smooth, we only had to climb the Great Wall, which was gorgeous (we knew Jinshanling is one of the most beautiful sections). We look forward to coming back, at a different time of the year (end of winter or end of autumn), so we look forward to coming back again... and tasting your cooking too ! Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable !!!

MM287527****Booked this hotel for the National Day holiday. The hotel room is very large, very close to the high-speed rail station, and the front desk staff on duty is very considerate. Hot water was provided when it was cold, and they helped to store my luggage after I checked out, but a deposit was required for accommodation.

LLibraKKKThe environment is pleasant, though the resort area is quite small and pales in comparison to Aranya in Beidaihe. The hotel's interior design is lovely and very Japanese in style. The courtyard features many beautiful hydrangeas. The minibar being constantly restocked is a definite plus. Breakfast is served at a nearby restaurant, where you can choose one of three à la carte buffet options; the food was decent. While polite, the staff's attitude felt rather cold and indifferent. There were no perks like early check-in, late check-out, or room upgrades, which is fine, as the hotel isn't obligated to provide them.
What really ticked me off was an incident during check-out. The day before, the butler had explicitly told us that two bottles of body lotion would be left at the front desk for us to collect when we checked out. However, when checking out, the front desk didn't mention it at all until I brought it up. Then, the staff acted as if I was trying to swindle them out of a major freebie, going through a ridiculously elaborate verification process, only to eventually hand over just *one* bottle. It made me feel like I was begging for a gift. I almost decided to just drop it, but the more I thought about it, the more annoyed I became. They were the ones who offered it in the first place, yet they made me feel like I was trying to take advantage. So, I insisted on receiving the two body lotions that were initially promised. I've stayed at many hotels that offer complimentary parting gifts upon check-out, and those always cheerfully enhanced my overall satisfaction. This experience, however, left me absolutely furious. They seriously need to train their staff on proper communication protocols.

GGuest UserThis place was the best after our long walk along the Great Wall. We started in Gubekiou and walked the wall until Jinshanling. The farmhouse was only about a 20 min walk from the entrance of the Great Wall which we were happy about. As soon as we walked up the owner ran up and welcomed us and showed us to our rooms. Each of our rooms had two small beds and a bathroom w a shower. Great value for your money. The family running it fed us delicious food for breakfast and dinner, were so welcoming and even helped us plan our next day hike. Would stay here again!

GGuest UserThe room was spacious, with excellent views and plenty of windows, offering a pleasant view. The facilities were a bit dated, but they worked perfectly. The round outlet on the bedside table was very practical and a nice touch. The toilet paper was awkwardly placed next to the toilet, making it difficult to reach. Elderly people with frozen shoulder would find it very difficult to reach. We recommend this improvement. The breakfast variety and quality were acceptable, but the dining room carpet was worn, and the odor was a bit unpleasant.

GGary Ong Wei KiatAbsolutely loving this place! The vibes is totally awesome and a nice place to chill with lots of activities to do, though unfortunately we only had one night here as we only planned to hike Jin Shan Ling, but we will definitely be back for more next round!
Service and hospitality is top notch and absolutely grateful to have such a nice bunch of staff who were super friendly and warm. The hotel was near Jin Shan Ling (about 5 mins drive) and they even offered to drive and pick us to and fro the hotel and Jin Shan Ling. Within the hotel, they were concerned with us feeling cold so they ferried us to our room as our room was a few mins walk away, and fetched us from our room to the lobby when we wanted to hang out at their chill areas there which turned out to be really relaxing.
They served super sumptuous meals including a hot pot set which was great for winter and even offered us complimentary dishes as part of winter solstice.
One of the staff named Henry Zhang gave us a tour at their exhibition centre showing the various scenic areas in 四季山, 金山岭 and 北京城! We enjoyed the experience sharing from him and the explanation to the various attraction sites, appreciate the sweet gesture as he didn’t actually had to do that but he did so!
Room was absolutely great and spacious, extremely clean and comfortable with heaters inside the restrooms which was super nice. It was a good night rest for us.
Breakfast was their local dishes which was great too and super filling (buns, eggs, porridge, dough sticks, specialty cold dishes).
All in all, we had no complains from the time we checked in, super loved the experience and it definitely make us want to book another trip here again soon!

DDanshuimoyuExcellent! The location is fantastic, very close to the Mountain Resort and easily walkable. Crucially, they have parking available, which is a huge plus, especially when all other nearby lots are full. I was even offered a complimentary room upgrade by the staff. For just over 100 RMB, I got a mountain view room, which was incredible value. I could lie in bed in the morning and watch the sunrise, with beautiful mountain and water views right outside my window.
On the downside, the facilities are quite dated. The main issue was a strong, unpleasant sewage smell emanating from the drain.

GGuest UserI chose this hotel for a business trip and the experience exceeded expectations! The hygiene is particularly good, the room is spotless, the bedding is clean and soft, and the living is very comfortable. In terms of environment, the location is convenient, close to the place of work, the surrounding area is not noisy, and the rest is good. The service is even more intimate, the front desk is super fast, and the response to any needs is timely. Although the facilities are not particularly luxurious, they are complete and new, especially the bed and pillows, and a sleep eliminates the fatigue of the day. The overall cost-effective, I will choose here next time, and I will give my business friends a good Amway~

AAnonymous UserThe hotel has a main building and another annex building behind it. The facilities may be a bit older than the newly renovated hotel. I saw a comment saying that the bathroom inside still has a bathtub, so I specially chose a room type without a bathtub. The room is also clean. The location is very good, just opposite the entrance of the Summer Resort, Lizheng Gate, and next to it is a large shopping mall, Jinlong Plaza. There is a RT-Mart supermarket in the basement of Jinlong Plaza, which is very convenient for eating and shopping. The bus from Chengde Distribution Center to Jinshanling Great Wall is just opposite the Lizheng Gate parking lot. There are various buses at the entrance of the hotel, going to Chengde Museum, Little Potala Palace, and Puning Temple.
