Great
GGuest UserThe hotel is sort of boutique but generally careless service and no smiles from the staff remembers starting from front desk ending with cafeteria personnel.
It was disappointing to see knowing Georgians generally r very hospitable and willing to help.
These ones acted like u drag them with ur stupid questions and they have to go extra mile for free.
U speak English or Russian to them does not matter. They do not care about u or about ur business that u chose their hotel vs others.
Breakfast was fine but nothing special. Everywhere I felt like they didn’t expect u and why u even came.
The location is convenient to the subway.
The hotel across has a patio and people there got excited because of drinking and were sooo load u cannot sleep and I had to call the staff to calm them down and get some sleep.
The previous hotel I stayed in Tbilisi close to Freedom square was much nicer.
So I will not recommend this one.
GGuest UserGreat hotel with huge rooms. Located near the biggest church in Georgia! It’s a new building and thanks to hotel staff everything keeps in good maintenance. Also hotel has personal parking in case you want to keep your car safe.
Everything was clean and cozy. The breakfast were also served with pretty big time gap.
The water in the shower have good pressure and the didn’t have problem with water heating.
But there was couple things that need some improvements. Firstly there was no soap dish so bathroom was pretty dirty after every visit.
Secondly during breakfast there was often a problem with amount of served food. Always needed to wait for food to be replaced for 10-15 minutes.
Also I booked and prepaid twin bed room but they gave me queen sized bed room with only one duvet.
YYunxingjiI stayed for four days and had a truly fantastic experience! The front desk staff were incredibly warm and friendly. The hotel itself was spotless, and our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels provided, which was a nice touch. Its location in the Old Town is perfect for dining, with a delicious Chinese restaurant just a few minutes' walk away. The convenience extends to sightseeing; all major city attractions are within easy walking distance. Plus, the meeting point for my organized day tour was also just a short stroll away. The hotel breakfast was quite substantial too, adding to the overall positive stay.
TTonkarnFantastic in overall. Just 10 mins walk to the city center. Hotel has its own parking lot, but you may have to leave the key with the front desk. The front desk staff was nice and helpful. The room was clean and cozy. The price is reasonable. Even the economy room was big enough to accomodate 2 adult and 1 child. The view inside the room has the broad view of city. Strongly Recommended. The famous thermal bath was on walkable distance from the hotel.
GGuest UserStays at 3rd floor with a good view on the mountains. But to see the greatest view better go by stairs, not elevator.
Truly attentive, friendly, and helpful staff that can help you anytime.
The great recreational facilities listed on the website are all available and in good working order.
The restaurant deserves special attention. We tried a variety of dishes during our stay. Georgian cuisine is simply delicious. I highly recommend trying the cream soups and khinkali.
I’d like to add that the cheese pancakes were delicious, but I would have liked to have them—and the various breakfast options—served earlier; I missed having breakfast served early.
I’d also like to see a map or at least a bus schedule with the routes. That was definitely missing, and it wasn’t always easy to figure it out on my own using the apps.
And there are also lots of different birds in the area. I wasn’t able to do it on this trip, but maybe someone else will be lucky enough to wait for them and feed them by hand.
I wish this wonderful place and the people who work here all the best and continued success.
GGuest UserClean and stylish room, excellent breakfast, responsive Russian-speaking staff who immediately offered to find a way out of the force major situation we got into. To the Freedom Square 10 minutes walk; but it is worth noting that the hotel is located on the mountain, on the road to the hotel in a couple of places quite a steep rise.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel itself and its amenities are nice. The swimming pools (indoor and outdoor) look pretty good and the lobby is very clean and stylish. The bar at the swimming pool and on the first floor is pretty nice, cocktails were amazing although little pricey.
However, the service was questionable. First of all, the restaurant on the first floor: waiting time for food - 1h(!), we had to go for lunch to nearby hotel (shoutout to Golden Tulip rooftop restaurant). Secondly, the staff forgot to put mini kits in our room (soap/lotion/razors/cotton pads/shower caps/etc). Thirdly, we went to the pool at 9:30am, there weren’t enough pool towels for 6 people. And lastly the room service was outrageously slow at night. Nobody picked the phone for 15 min. straight, we had to call the reception and guest service. After they took our order, it was another 45-50 minutes before our food came (it wasn’t much just tea and some cheese pie).
Overall, the hotel is ok, but service needs improving. I visited a few Marriott hotels (participant of Marriott Bonvoy program), this one looks like Sheraton, but doesn’t feel like it.
}}I{EKAExellent accommodations. Very friendly and professional staff. Modern rooms. Solid breakfast. Lovely pool. Remote from the center of TBS is the only disadvantage but taxi is so cheap you won't even notice. Recommended.
TTravelUnfiltered✈️I recently stayed at the River Side Hotel in Tbilisi, and it was a fantastic experience. The location is ideal, situated along the banks of the river, providing stunning views and easy access to major attractions.
The room was spacious and well-appointed, with modern amenities and comfortable furnishings. The bed was particularly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. I appreciated the attention to detail, from the cleanliness to the thoughtful decor.
The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with recommendations or any requests I had. The hotel also offered a lovely breakfast with a variety of options, which was a great way to start my day.
Overall, I highly recommend the River Side Hotel for anyone visiting Tbilisi. It combines comfort, excellent service, and a prime location, making it a perfect choice for travelers.
GGezginserhatThey let us check in early. Everything was great. The staff was very helpful. The location was a bit far from the city. But there were bus, minibus and taxi options.
