"The hotel's surroundings are rather poor, as it's located in a predominantly Black neighborhood and the road to the subway station is quite dirty. The hotel rooms, however, are relatively new, being in a newly opened location. With breakfast included, the price is reasonable, considering the hotel's relatively new interior."

"In such a prime location, the room was very small, featuring a bunk bed setup (like a twin over twin in China), but it was very clean and tidy. Three people could barely move without bumping into each other. This really isn't what I expect from a Hilton. If you want hot water, you have to ask at the front desk bar, but the service was excellent! There's ice and room-temperature water in the basement. The door closing mechanism was very unique! The room-temperature water dispenser is right next to the ice machine, which is different from the ice machines at Woburn. Standard amenities include an ice bucket, but it's hard to satisfy a 'Chinese stomach' without a kettle. Guess I'll just have to make do with alcohol."

"Great stay at YOTEL New York Times Square. The vibe felt modern, efficient, and a little futuristic. The rooms are clean, sleek, and surprisingly comfortable, especially the adjustable SmartBed—it was perfect for relaxing after a full day exploring the city. The floor-to-ceiling windows also added a great touch, letting in tons of natural light and offering a cool view of the city. One of the highlights was definitely the location. Being so close to Times Square made it incredibly convenient to get around. The rooftop terrace is a great spot to unwind and take in the skyline. The overall atmosphere of the hotel feels energetic yet comfortable, making it a great fit whether you’re visiting for fun or business. All in all, great recommendation by Trip.com."

"Brand new hotel – I stayed March 2026, in the first few weeks after it opened. Very clever layouts makes the most of the small rooms. Modern attractive design distinguishes the rooms from other hotels in the area. Overall a great choice, HOWEVER there are a few growing pains that I hope the hotel takes care to address: - The shower is *warm-ish*, but not *hot*. Both my wife and I found this unpleasant; we were hoping for a more relaxing shower. - The shower leaked incredible amounts of water into the rest of the bathroom. There was no barrier under the door to keep the water inside. - The elevator beeps on every floor it passes. Every room is near the elevators, so mornings and evenings you just hear a constant refrain of ”beep... beep... BEEP... beep... beep... BEEP... beep...” as the elevators stay busy moving guests around. I hope the hotel can get their elevator guy to disable this pointless beeping, or at least make it quieter. Overall it was still a great stay, and definitely my favorite hotel in the area – better than the Ace Hotel, the nearby Hilton, and Holiday Inn – though it could have been amazing had these growing pains been addressed."

"Honestly a wonderful experience especially for the price. Check-in did take longer than we had hoped, as the booking was for a 3:00pm checkin but we had to wait a half hour extra. Not the biggest deal. The two drink tickets for the bar downstairs upon checkin was nice! I was concerned initially about the noise from the bar and the metro station like some reviews said. We stayed over Sunday-Tuesday so crazy club music or bass was not an issue. We were on the 2nd floor, so the music during bar operation hours could be heard faintly but definitely not loud or annoying. The metro was also not loud or bothersome. Trains pass very infrequently during the night and even when they do, it’s not loud. Room was clean, had shampoo, body wash, hand soap, body lotion, hair dryer, and towels. Service was friendly and kind. The neighborhood isn’t amazing but I also did not have any interactions or experiences that made me feel unsafe. There is a convenience store next door. Overall, I recommend this spot as a budget stay! I am satisfied!"

"This hotel reminds me a lot of Tune hotels in Malaysia. Very basic facilities in a very small room. Many functions are controlled by an iPad, but you can use switches on the wall to do the same if you’re old school. My automatic curtain wasn’t working so my city view was obscured. The hotel is “hip” - you check yourself in using a machine and once you’re settled, you can return to the lobby for some human contact at the bar. The tariff was horrendous but the location was great and the bed was clean and comfortable."

"Today, I booked a larger room (28 sqm), which was much more comfortable than the smaller ones, though of course, the price was also significantly higher. The hotel is brand new, and the facilities are excellent. The shower, in particular, had fantastic water pressure. The soundproofing in the room was also good, and there was a coffee machine. Breakfast was a bit basic. However, most hotels below four stars in New York don't offer breakfast, so you usually have to go out and find food yourself. The surrounding area isn't as good as south of 121st Street, but it's very convenient to take the subway downtown."
