"I stayed at the Adelphi Hotel on a recent trip to Edinburgh. It's definitely a budget-friendly option, which was perfect for me. The room itself was clean and functional. The bed was comfy, there was a flat-screen TV to unwind with, and the shower had great pressure with plenty of hot water. Heads up, there's no breakfast offered at the hotel. I grabbed food at a nearby cafe each morning, which wasn't a problem, but be sure to factor that extra cost into your budget. The room was a little on the small side, and I heard some noise from outside at times. It's not a fancy hotel, and there aren't any amenities beyond free Wi-Fi. The location, however, was fantastic. It's just a short walk from the tram stop, and most of Edinburgh's attractions were within a 10-15 minute drive. There's even free parking on-site, which is a major plus in the city. Overall, the Adelphi Hotel was a decent choice for my short stay. It's perfect if you're on a budget and don't mind a basic room without frills. Just be prepared to find breakfast elsewhere and manage your expectations."

"A little far from city centre but the place is near to restaurants and parks. The room was not ready at check in time so we were allowed to check out later to compensate for the short wait. The room was quite old and the sink and bath area quite mouldy. However, the staff was friendly and helpful."

"The room is clean and spacious with heating. I communicated with the hotel by email about luggage storage in advance. The hotel responded very promptly and effectively. It is very quiet and 20 minutes walk from the train station. Good value for money. Our room is marked as having no window but has a skylight! Very interesting."

The stairs are a little steep, so it may be a little difficult if you have a large suitcase. However, it is excellent value for money and is close to a tram stop, so I highly recommend it."
