"We have come to M residence many times and stayed in the hotel and apartment side so we have multiple perspectives. Downsides: The sheets on the bed weren't the cleanest, the table outside was filthy,, mosquitos in the bathrooms terrorized me the first night. I asked for room service but it was already 5pm so they said someone would come and nobody did. The plus sides is this air conditioner works amazingly unlike the one from the apartment I renter here. The hotel provides drinking water, toothbrush, razor, you always have hot water for showers and fast internet. Another thing much better than the apartment was that the hotel room came with a bunch of dishes for cooking and a tea kettle for hot water. The hotel experience would be a perfect score if the room was cleaner and prompt room service when requested. I have to fly out in the middle of the night so I would extend another night but the price rose another 30% so I won't bother, but as someone who has stayed at the M Residence at least 3 times I would recommend it 10 times out of 10, my only advice would be for apartment renters to thoroughly test the bed and airconditioner before signing the lease. The apartments rooms are much better & I highly recommend regardless of the small inconviences The M Residence beats out my favorite hotel in Phnom Penh because it's the best hotel your going to get for tbe price and you get a huge fridge!"

"Service: Staff were friendly and offered room service, which was a great experience. Hygiene: Everything I saw was very clean. Environment: The natural plant-filled environment and fresh air were lovely. Facilities: The rooftop bar had good food, and the two swimming pools were beautiful."

"High-end, elegant, and classy, as expected from a well-funded brand. Although the rooms aren't huge, they have a distinctive style. Downstairs, you'll find an entertainment complex and an inner-city duty-free shop. The Mekong River and the Royal Palace are right outside the door. What a perfect spot to get rich!"

"Great value modern hotel. Large, stylish room. The best breakfast we have had in one month of travels, so much to choose from made to order. Gorgeous pool area with a long enough pool to do some meaningful lengths in, loved it, especially with the great selection of reasonably priced cocktails. The following I am honestly nitpicking. For the price you are unlikely to beat this but if there are any areas for improvement, things to be aware of: Note there is construction going on next door, nothing the staff can do about that, they even provided ear plugs in the room which wasn't necessary unless you're sleeping in past 7. I was more disturbed by the bass from a bar nearby which went on to early hours Friday night, not the most sound proof rooms. I think the pool area could be made even better with just a couple more sun beds spaced around (there were only 5 and then chairs & sofas which got filled up in late afternoon). I think there is a gym room which is not fitted out but would be a great addition if finished. The daytime bar staff could be a bit more active, dirty glasses and towels left about by the pool whilst they were scrolling on phones. The restaurant meal was ok, overcooked steak and not a very good creme brulee but 25% off food voucher was worth it (accompanied with the cocktails... Did I mention I liked the cocktails?) We didn't get full bearings of the city, but there wasn't anything within walking distance that we particularly enjoyed. Feels like a bit of tension in the neighborhood in terms of economic living standards, it's clearly going through some aggressive gentrification and locals are being left behind."

"Only found out it was the hotel's second day of opening upon check-in! The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and communication in Chinese was seamless. The room's curtains, air conditioning, and lighting are all smart-controlled. The bedding included a latex pillow, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The room decor was simple and clean, and there was even a small tea table. Overall, it felt very relaxing. There's a self-service laundry room and a gym on the 8th floor, and the breakfast restaurant is on the 23rd floor, which is the very top. Perhaps because it just opened, some areas might still be incomplete, but it was a great experience staying in a brand new hotel. Hope it stays this way!"

"The hotel is located very close to the Royal Palace and National Museum, both within a 10 minute walk, as well as convenient to a number of restaurants. Staff were very caring and when I had a medical issue, they were able to check in on me as I was travelling alone. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, with a rotating selection of treats each day along with an egg station. I ate at the Pergola restaurant one evening, which is pricey by local standards, but was delicious and fresh. The poolside restaurant, where breakfast is served, is very realxing. Overall, I would not hesitate to stay here again."

"I booked a room here for 5 nights and then even extended my stay for another 2 nights. The hotel is located quite central in the city, so it is easy to get around. The room was clean and nice. The staff is friendly and speaks English well and - not that it's important - the girls at the front desk looked really cute ;o). In other reviews I read complaints about the hotel not having hot water (but just a rooftop solar water heater), which is true but was not a problem for me at all. Reality is that it never gets cold anyway and therefore the water also never gets really cold. I recommend it and would stay here again - no doubt about that."
