"Let's start with the positives:
The room was new, beautifully decorated, and the bedding was spotless (I have sensitive skin and usually react immediately, but I had no issues here).
The room attendant was super responsive; when I requested an extra blanket, they sent it via express delivery right away.
The room size was also decent and matched the description.
HeyTea is right downstairs, and it's not far from Taikoo Li.
Now for the downsides:
We were a group of three adults and three children. We originally booked one twin room and one king room.
Upon arrival, we found that the 'twin' room actually had two sofas pushed together to form an irregular bed (they claimed it was 1.8 meters, but that was just the widest point, which felt a bit misleading). This irregular bed was very uncomfortable to sleep on, and the seam in the middle kept separating.
So, we tried to negotiate with the hotel to cancel our two rooms and pay the difference for a triple room, but the hotel refused. I really don't understand why, especially since the triple room's total price was higher than our original two rooms combined, and there were clearly triple rooms available. Why couldn't we just pay the difference to switch?
Also, there were small cockroaches in the hotel bathroom.
Another thing for families to note: the shower area is completely transparent. This would be very inconvenient if you're traveling with elders."
