"My experience staying at this hotel as below. 1. They provide pickup and drop off from the train station. The day before the Inn contacted me to make arrangement for the pickup. Then they arranged to drive me back to station on the day I leave. Service was efficient and prompt. Much appreciated. 2. I was able to use the washing machine to wash come clothes which was much needed. Comb and toiletries were provided. So grateful for these little necessities as I left mine at the previous hotel. 3. The boss upgraded me to a bigger and better room because it was the low season. The kang bed was so comfortable and firm. I had the best sleep so far at this Inn. I'm so happy. 4. The Inn is inside the old city and practically next to one of the city gates. Very convenient for sightseeing old Pingyao city. 5. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Boss also gave me a bottle of vinegar. Wish I could take it back to UK with me. 6. The price of this Inn is also very reasonable and affordable. 7. Pingyao is a beautiful, ancient old city. Worth coming. I highly recommend staying here. "The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, clean, and the service was incredibly welcoming. Even before we arrived, the driver contacted us to arrange pick-up, making the entire journey smooth and comfortable. They thoughtfully explained the layout of Pingyao Ancient City and provided travel tips. The breakfast was also good, and they even treated us to some of their homemade vinegar! Overall, a great experience!"

"It was a wonderful stay! :) The owners are a lovely family—very kind, helpful, and always happy to give advice and recommendations. The courtyard is magical, and the room was clean and free of any cigarette smell. The room had soap, shampoo, a hairdryer, a kettle, air conditioning, towels, slippers, and even earplugs (which are actually very useful, because many Chinese tourists don't seem to believe in gently closing doors with the handle—they slam them as if a war had just broken out). Sleeping in such a beautifully traditional setting was an experience in itself. I would have happily stayed longer. A note for European travelers: remember that this is a small hotel by Chinese standards. Don't be disappointed if the lanterns are made of plastic or if some of the decorations in the courtyard are a little dusty. None of that takes away from the charm of the place. I highly recommend staying here for at least two nights."

The owner was incredibly welcoming, helped us with our luggage, and even provided free pick-up and drop-off service. The room was smart-equipped, and the breakfast was authentic. "The hotel is located in a beautiful restored traditional house on the very center of Pingyao. The room was clean, comfortable, and everything worked as expected. The hotel offered a few complimentary services too, such as a fish spa and a traditional Chinese costume, which made our stay a little more fun. "Though the room is small, it has everything you need! It's super convenient as it's just a 2-minute walk to South Street, and surprisingly quiet at night for a good night's sleep. The host is also incredibly warm and welcoming; he gave us a detailed tour of the ancient city map right when we checked in and even drove us to the high-speed rail station. Oh, and the breakfast is 100/100, very generous, and the courtyard is super photogenic. All in all, fantastic value for money, definitely worth staying again!"

"The owner is incredibly kind. They messaged us before we even arrived, offering to pick us up from the North Gate of the ancient city. The room was also really nice, and for the price, it's excellent value for money. There's a sightseeing cart right outside that can take you anywhere in the ancient city, and it's also a pleasant, short walk back to the guesthouse. The owner patiently explained how to best explore the ancient city, and even gave us a bottle of vinegar when we checked out – truly wonderful! The courtyard is also very beautiful."

"This guesthouse was the most pleasant surprise of our trip to Pingyao. The peaceful courtyard, tucked away from the bustling streets, was truly rejuvenating. The traditional blue bricks and grey tiles, combined with the lush greenery, lanterns, and evening breeze, created a delightful atmosphere. The moment we stepped in, all the travel fatigue melted away. Our room was clean and elegant, with tasteful vintage furnishings that were a pleasure to behold. Opening the window, we could see the rooftops of the ancient city. Mornings were quiet and serene, while evenings saw the courtyard lit up with a wonderful ambiance. The host was kind and considerate, paying attention to every detail, making our stay comfortable and reassuring. This was the most satisfying accommodation of our entire trip, and I would definitely choose it again on my next visit to Pingyao."

"The operator of this mansion provided great service by receiving us at the railway. He also sent us off after our check-out. Much appreciated since the mansion is located at the strategic walking street of the ancient town. The mansion is an ancient design house with modern facilities. The room is great. Besides a large TV and large bed, it also has a smart WC and heated shower area. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to future visits."

"My stay at this hotel was wonderful. The room was absolutely beautiful and allowed me to experience the authentic atmosphere of traditional China. It was thoughtfully divided into a living area and a sleeping area, making it both spacious and comfortable. The elegant furniture, decorations, and sculptures added a unique charm to the room. The bathroom was excellent as well, featuring both a bathtub and a separate shower. The staff at the reception spoke English very well, making communication easy throughout my stay.
