😀 Location: Right next to Guishan Park, a two-minute walk to where you can easily hail a taxi. It's also located within the ancient city, making dining and shopping very convenient. 👾 Facilities: Excellent! The room environment largely matched the pictures. It came equipped with an oxygen concentrator, a humidifier, a fan, and a mini-fridge! The shower room also had facilities for hanging clothes and towels, which was a great touch. Among all the guesthouses I stayed at during my trip to Yunnan, this one had the most comprehensive facilities. 🤖 Hygiene: Very good. I didn't find any hygiene issues upon check-in. All towels were disposable, and the toilet had a self-sanitizing function. 😼 Service: Both the staff and the owner were incredibly friendly and enthusiastic! Before checking in, we couldn't find a taxi near Napa Lake, so the owner came to pick us up – super nice! Every day, they also provided complimentary fruit, snacks, and yogurt. When we checked out, they arranged a shuttle to take us to the underground parking lot and even gave us a farewell gift. You can truly feel that the owner puts a lot of effort into running this place! Highly recommend!

Our stay at the Shangri-La Donglixia Wilderness Palace B&B was an amazing experience! The B&B faces Napa Lake and the snow-capped mountains directly, offering expansive views. The Wilderness Palace architecture creates a fantastic atmosphere, and the rooms are clean and cozy, making for an exceptionally comfortable and relaxing stay. The owner is incredibly warm and hospitable, providing thoughtful and meticulous service; every detail was well taken care of. There's also a cafe on-site where you can relax, enjoy the view, and take photos – it's incredibly photogenic. Plus, you can pet adorable and gentle Alaskan Malamutes, which is wonderfully therapeutic. Overall, the experience was a perfect 10/10. If you're coming to Shangri-La, staying here is definitely a no-brainer. Highly recommended!

A perfect stay for those seeking peace and relaxation. The hotel offers stunning mountain and meadow views, with beautiful walking paths and scenery similar to Heidou Café nearby. Guests receive a voucher for a complimentary Americano and cookies at the café (other menu items are available with a small top-up). The staff are friendly and attentive, and the hotel also provides convenient shuttle service to and from the railway station. Didi rides are easy to book, and the Old Town is only about 20 minutes away. When I came to Shangri-La, I originally wanted to stay at Songtsam Linka, but then I saw a photo of the Ritzman's grassland view from the window and immediately changed my booking. I stayed for three days. I haven't really stayed in many B&Bs, and if I'm being honest, the room was a bit cramped. There wasn't enough space to pack my luggage. Also, it's a bit out of the way, so I couldn't order takeout. However, the service was excellent. The staff were attentive and enthusiastic, and they offered breakfast, afternoon tea, and sweet soup. The aged tangerine peel red bean soup one evening was particularly delicious. Most importantly, there were many small animals on the ranch, especially two little donkeys that my son absolutely adored. Every morning, as soon as he woke up, he wanted to go see and feed the donkeys. It was a very satisfying trip.

This magnificent hotel is located in the heart of Shangri-La, a place where the journey itself is part of the magic. As we traveled along the village paths and across the vast plains filled with yaks and horses roaming freely, the landscape was so beautiful and peaceful that we felt as if we were entering another world. From the moment we arrived, silence, serenity, and the pure energy of nature surrounded us. The hotel manager greeted us with a warm smile, checked us in, and offered us hot local tea and a ******* cake. He then led us to the warm and beautiful room we had reserved. Everything was truly perfect: the hotel's atmosphere, the beauty of the location, and the kindness and sincerity of the entire team. When it was time to leave, we truly felt as if we were leaving a piece of our hearts there. Without a doubt, we will return to this place, and this time we will stay longer. A huge thank you to Mr. Wang, their adorable dogs, and their amazing team for this unforgettable experience.

This guesthouse really exceeded my expectations. It was easy to find and the surrounding area was very convenient. The room was spotlessly clean, no strange smells, and the bedding was comfortable, so I got a great night's sleep. The host was incredibly genuine and patiently answered all my questions, unlike some places where they're unresponsive. Overall, it felt very cozy, just like staying at a relative's house – none of that stiff hotel feeling. The price was also reasonable, offering great value for money. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in the area, genuinely recommend it to everyone.

The hotel's location is exceptional, right next to Songzanlin Monastery. From the fourth-floor observation deck, you can see the monastery's golden roofs shimmering through the morning mist – a sacred yet tranquil beauty. The large floor-to-ceiling windows in the room frame the stunning views outside like a living painting, even when you're lying in bed. Additionally, guests can visit the ******* Culture Exhibition Hall on the third floor for complimentary tea and a tour if they have time. The hotel staff are warm, attentive, and polite. It was a wonderful stay, and I would recommend it to my friends.

The Shangri-La Songtsam Linka was definitely the biggest surprise of our trip! The hotel directly faces Songzanlin Monastery, and the ******* manor atmosphere is incredibly immersive. The museum and Thangka art center are well worth a leisurely visit. A special thank you to our butler, Zhuoma Yangzong, who was gentle, sincere, and incredibly thoughtful. She took our elderly and child companions into full consideration, kindly reminding us of precautions for traveling at high altitudes, proactively recommending suitable tour routes, and promptly responding to all our needs. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with excellent oxygen supply facilities. The evening drinks and turndown service were a warm and delightful touch. Visually appealing, pleasantly fragrant, and perfectly temperate – a harmonious experience for all five senses. We found a peaceful and healing ******* journey at Songtsam. We look forward to visiting again!

Out of the ten-odd hotels we booked for our graduation trip with the kids, this is the one we least wanted to leave and felt we didn't stay long enough at! It truly exceeded our expectations! I never imagined a guesthouse could be far superior to a five-star hotel. The service, hygiene, and overall tidiness were all absolutely perfect 💯. Upon check-out, they even gave us a very high-class souvenir, surpassing what you'd get at Banyan Tree, Jumeirah, or Huazhu Group hotels! We booked the 'Cave Room,' and while it didn't have mountain views, it had a wonderfully cozy, cocoon-like feel, like sleeping inside an eggshell, with a balcony and an interior view. A particularly delightful surprise was their dining; though not cheap, the Western food was very authentic, and the Chinese dishes were delicious. The complimentary 'goodnight sweet soup,' a 'glutinous rice ball, peach gum, and white fungus soup,' was truly exceptional! Staying at this place is a real treat for anyone traveling by car. Its most photogenic spot is the café, with its absolutely massive floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows. The hotel also boasts a gym, an infinity cliffside pool, and a glass skywalk – it genuinely has all the elements you could wish for. After visiting Tiger Leaping Gorge, it's just a 20-minute drive to the hotel's free parking lot. Enjoy a cup of coffee and the mountain views from an outdoor seat, listening to the Jinsha River 'sing' – the rainy season ambiance is just perfect. Highly recommended for road trippers; don't miss it if you're in the area!

For English speaking tourists, Tea Horse and Half Way are best accommodations located in Senic view area of Tiger Leaping Gorge. To be honest, Tea Horse was my second choice because I did not get a room in Half away on selected date. During my return trip to Lijiang, there was a delay of booked taxi driver coming to the mountain. Tea Horse management lady personally called driver. She even arranged with Tea Horse staff for sending me to to meet with booked driver on the way from Lijiang to TLG. It has saved about one hour of travel time. I am grateful for her support, responsibility and understanding. Only negative point was bath room door could not shut while taking shower and using toilet. As a solo traveler I did not have big issue for bathroom door was not closing. Overall it is decent and westernised room with modern facilities. Heating for shower was fast and convenient as well. Recommended for serious hikers.
