"This is a truly unique and charming hotel, with a dignified, antique feel. The wooden stairs, rooms, and floors create a wonderful ambiance. The room was clean, tidy, and well-equipped. Besides the usual disposable amenities, they also provided items like shawls and hats, perfect for taking great photos. There's an oxygen machine in the room, and underfloor heating, too! They offer afternoon tea daily and milk in the evenings. Right outside the hotel is a very popular cafe. You can even get discount cards from the hotel for Thangka painting experiences and travel photography. Lastly, the hotel's location is fantastic; you can see the prayer wheel of Guishan Park right as you step out and turn left."

"Where do I even begin? My overall experience was simply fantastic. Let's start with the courtyard. The entrance has a rustic charm, and the whole courtyard feels elegant and serene. It's clear the owner converted their own home into this guesthouse. There are so many beautiful flowers and plants thriving in the yard, especially a cluster of multi-petaled roses. You can tell the owner has a real passion for life. There are also several cats and two sheep in the courtyard; one of the blue cats has gotten quite chunky and is absolutely adorable! The place feels so lively, and there's a strong sense of local ethnic culture, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The owner contacted us in advance about pick-up and drop-off. The young man who picked us up was very kind – I think he's the owner's son. He reached out to us beforehand and even helped with our luggage. Because the guesthouse isn't on the main street, it's very quiet and perfect for relaxing (though it's still very close to the main street, just a short walk away). Then there's the important part: the room. Since it was the off-season, the guesthouse was pretty quiet, and the owner let us choose our own room. The room has an overall wooden structure, and the decor has a strong, beautiful ******* feel. It was spotlessly clean and tidy, equipped with an oxygen concentrator and a humidifier. In winter, there's underfloor heating and electric blankets – everything you could possibly need. All toiletries were also provided. Next up, breakfast. The owner herself cooked millet porridge, steamed buns, and eggs, along with some side dishes. The matsutake mushroom and meat sauce were especially delicious! They went perfectly with the meal. Now, about the owner's family – they are all incredibly warm and friendly. Chatting with them, you realize they're genuinely kind people. They even gave us recommendations for attractions and tips for our visit. If we came back late and saw the owner, she'd always greet us with a few kind words. Although we only stayed for a short two days, we felt a real sense of belonging. Words can't fully express it, but I'll definitely recommend this place if I come back to Shangri-La or if any friends visit. Finally, I wish the owner lasting joy and health, and a thriving business."

"This hotel is located within the Napa Lake scenic area, boasting beautiful surroundings with stunning views of lush green mountains and fields, as well as many adorable small animals. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, the bedding is very comfortable, and the rooms are equipped with oxygen concentrators and humidifiers, ensuring a peaceful and comfortable night's sleep even at high altitudes. The hotel's butlers and staff provide attentive and warm service, offering appropriate advice and tips to guests. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️ The hotel offers complimentary fruit and delicious sweet soup every evening, which is a lovely and thoughtful touch. I will definitely choose to stay at this hotel again on my next visit."

"The hotel is very close to Dukezong Ancient Town, about a 5-minute walk. The hotel has a great design, and the rooms are quite clean, although the family rooms face the road. It would be even better if the breakfast offered more variety. The room has an oxygen concentrator, and there's free fruit on the first floor for guests to help themselves. Crucially, there's an elevator, so no need to climb stairs, which is really important in high-altitude areas. For parking, you can park right in front of the hotel or next to it."

"Passing through Shangri-La, my top choice was naturally the Shangri-La Hotel, and it truly lived up to its reputation. The hotel is conveniently located near Songzanlin Monastery, Dukezong Ancient Town, and Zaya Manor, making getting around incredibly easy. The hotel itself is charmingly antique and distinctly *******, with unique characteristics yet an undeniable sense of luxury. The rooms, while not huge, are exceptionally comfortable, offering great views and a relaxing atmosphere. What truly stands out, however, is the hotel's service. From the security guards and porters to the front desk, housekeeping, and restaurant staff, everyone was warm, professional, and efficient, making the stay truly delightful. Highly recommend!"

"Check-in was smooth, and I received a complimentary upgrade to an oxygen room with a disposable oxygen tube. The lobby has a self-service coffee machine and a gym. The room came with a projector and an AI speaker (Xiao Du). Overall, my stay was great, with the exception of the breakfast, which was really disappointing. The breakfast staff had terrible attitudes. The food selection was poor, and items weren't refilled promptly when they ran out; some weren't even heated. When I asked a server where the coffee cups were, she just told me to find them myself and suggested I use a bowl if there were no cups left. This is the first time a hotel has ever told me to drink coffee out of a bowl!"

"We had the most amazing stay and Yanlu Library Oxygen Hotel! Firstly, the hotel is in a really convenient location in the old town, close to the shops, restaurants and a short car ride to Songzanlin monostary. The rooms are all really nicely decorated with comfy beds and everything you may need for your stay. Each room even has an oxygen machine in case you are struggling with the altitude which is a thoughtful touch. However, what makes this hotel special is the staff. They are just so helpful and kind. It was our friends birthday while we stayed and they were so helpful with organizing the cake and making sure it stayed a surprise. Throughout our stay, they answered any question quickly about transportation, tourist attractions and the best places to eat. They really made our stay special. Lastly, they had the cutest dog, Bala! He is so gentle and calm! Thank you so much!!!"

"I hesitated for a long time before booking this newly opened hotel, worried about potential odors, but I loved the decor and decided to stay anyway. To my surprise, the room had absolutely no smell. The overall style is modern wabi-sabi, with a strong sense of space and great for taking photos. The lighting is soft and creates a wonderful atmosphere, with comfortable light and shadow effects, perfect for the night. The square-framed staircase has a striking geometric design, and we took many photos there – perfect for Instagram. The furniture is high-quality, sturdy, and has a vintage feel. You can tell the owner has great taste. The owner mentioned the design fee wasn't cheap. The hotel receptionists were very polite and greeted us warmly. The hotel is very close to the old town center, just a few minutes' walk away. We didn't need to drive when going out for meals or exploring the old town, as the hotel has a large parking lot, making parking very convenient. I highly recommend this hotel."

"The free shuttle service to/from the airport/station was excellent. The young man driving was very diligent and proactively helped with our luggage. **Environment:** The ******* aesthetic lived up to its name. The lobby on the first floor was filled with fresh flowers, a testament to the owner, a refined man who loves flowers. **Cleanliness:** It was exceptionally clean, truly. I also want to praise the two ladies who prepared breakfast. While not overly lavish, it was spotlessly clean, hygienic, and although the variety was simple, the taste was far from it. This guesthouse is filled with friendly smiles; whenever you look up, you're met with a gentle, welcoming face."

"We had the best stay at MuKa Pastoral Manor during our Yunnan trip. The property has a true resort-like atmosphere, complemented by exceptional butler service. Upon check-in, we were added to a dedicated WeChat group with the hotel team. Since there is no telephone in the room, guests can simply send any request or question via WeChat, and the staff respond almost instantly. The hotel also uses the group chat to share daily reminders about breakfast hours, afternoon tea, the complimentary photoshoot, tea sessions, and the nightly bonfire activities. It made communication very convenient and personalized. One experience that really impressed us was when we had to leave before breakfast hours for an early sightseeing trip. We asked if they could prepare something simple for us, and they thoughtfully packed bread, boiled eggs, milk, and local snacks. It was an unexpected gesture that we truly appreciated. We stayed in a Level 2 duplex-style room with two separate bedrooms and bathrooms, making it perfect for a family or a group of four. The room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with an oxygen supply system and a dehumidifier. The butler also took the initiative to explain how to use the oxygen system and shared useful advice on managing altitude sickness, especially after learning about our previous and upcoming destinations. The afternoon tea and nightly bonfire experience are held on Level 5, which also features a cozy mini library. While most of the books are in Chinese, guests are free to browse and enjoy the space. We particularly enjoyed the traditional yak butter tea experience around the bonfire in the evening. Although the property is located about 20 minutes by Didi from Shangri-La Ancient Town, transportation is very convenient and ride-hailing services are readily available. The hotel also provides complimentary transfers to and from Shangri-La Railway Station, which was a nice added benefit. What truly sets MuKa Pastoral Manor apart is its outstanding hospitality and beautiful natural surroundings. The farm, courtyard, and open spaces create a peaceful retreat close to nature. My favorite part was waking up each morning to breathtaking views of Shika Snow Mountain (石卡雪山) right outside the window. Overall, this was one of the most memorable stays of our trip. Between the attentive service, comfortable rooms, thoughtful amenities, and stunning scenery, I would highly recommend MuKa Pastoral Manor to anyone visiting Shangri-La. I speak highly of the place, but if there is one area for improvement, it would be the breakfast selection. Given the overall standard and level of service they provide, I would have expected a slightly higher-quality breakfast offering. It felt somewhat underwhelming, with very basic Western options (bread, egg, jam) and Asian offerings (Mi Xian), along with milk, coffee, and juice. The juice also did not seem freshly prepared, but rather packaged."
