Truly Deserves 5 Stars – Exceptional Stay at Selat Al Bait Hotel I recently stayed at Selat Al Bait Hotel for 7 nights, and I must say, this hotel deserves 5 stars, even though it’s officially rated 3. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the modern touches and excellent service. The rooms are thoughtfully designed with a smart dial system to control “Do Not Disturb” for room service. Daily housekeeping ensured fresh towels, shampoo, and clean linen whenever needed. The pillows were incredibly soft and comfortable, and the beds were cozy with clean sheets. Windows can be opened for fresh air, and my room overlooked the new Hajj walkway—a lovely view. The hotel has three lifts that always worked, making movement easy and convenient. Reception staff were very kind and helpful. Amenities include a gym, mosque, laundry service, and a decent breakfast. There’s a 24/7 shuttle to the Haram, and the hotel is just a 10-minute walk from the bus stop to the new Haram and 20 minutes to the Mataaf from the same stop . You can walk straight road to Haram in around 30-45 mins . Parking available for locals .. Other highlights: free coffee and desserts in the lobby, hot water, a large shower, modern toilets, and all toiletries like shampoo and razors supplied. Daily water bottles were also provided. The hotel is very clean, with no insects or cockroaches, and the surrounding shops are lovely and more affordable than those near the Haram. For taxis to Haram Darul Tawheed, a short ride costs around 15–20 riyals—just make sure to use only marked taxis. Overall, my stay was extremely comfortable and convenient. Selat Al Bait offers modern facilities, attentive service, and excellent cleanliness at a great value. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Makkah!

Overall the hotel staff & receptionist services was very great. Unfortunately, we had bad experiences with the Majlis Restaurant & Cafe Staff services. They force us as the guest of the Raffles for any order with specific minimum order and payment, even though the time we visit is around 9.30 pm (local time), after the dinner. Please take the act as appropriate for any staff that not provide good service and humble to the Hotel Guest. Appreciated and thanks.

1. My stay at this hotel in Makkah was truly one of the most wonderful experiences I have had. Everything was exceptional, and what stood out the most was the cheerful attitude of the staff and the warmth of their hospitality. Their kindness and dedication genuinely make you feel happy and welcomed from the very first moment. They go above and beyond to serve guests and make the stay as smooth and comfortable as possible, especially the reception team, who were incredibly professional, helpful, and courteous. 2. The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of options, and the room was absolutely amazing—beautiful, comfortable, and prepared to a very high standard. 3. One of the most outstanding features of this hotel, especially if you choose the Gold stay option, is the private prayer area overlooking the Kaaba. This is truly a remarkable privilege, as it allows you to perform all your prayers in a peaceful atmosphere away from the crowds. In addition, there is a private entrance and dedicated elevators that take you directly to the Haram, which adds an exceptional level of convenience and comfort to the entire experience. 4. The afternoon lounge was also excellent, both in terms of atmosphere and service. I was especially impressed by the female staff there, who were highly dedicated, respectful, modest, and genuinely committed to providing outstanding service. 5. In short, this was a truly memorable stay in every way. My sincere thanks and appreciation to all the staff for their hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail. I will definitely stay at this hotel again many times in the future, and they have my warmest regards and gratitude.

Excellent beautiful hotel with a very good reasonable prices. I booked 2 rooms for five days. We really enjoyed staying at the hotel ..the area is modern with everything you need around you from shops to restaurants to coffees.

Start wasn’t good as I had to wait almost 50 minutes to check in because my room wasn’t ready , while serving me receptionist switched to help other guest who spoke Arabic while I was still waiting which I felt disrespectful, while entering room first time it had a strong cigarette smell left by previous guest, rooms were spacious with good ambiance, room service was helpful and kind but the floor wasn’t cleaned regularly , during shower the water was all over the floor in bathroom due to leak in shower glass bottom, on 2nd day the card wasn’t working to enter room , I tried going to reception 3 times and every time they said it’s done but it never worked till one of the staff accompanied me to get the room opened, talking about the positive side Hotel is newly built and breakfast was lavish with a lots of choices , a/c was excellent with warm water if heater switch turn on , shuttle service to and from Masjid Al Haram is good but sometimes it goes out of scheduled timetable , plenty of lifts so you don’t have to wait much , there is Masjid , gym, play area , restaurant in different floors , there is a wholesale market Anjum souq for Clothes , toys, perfume etc just opposite to hotel which is worth visiting . Shall try this hotel again due to its positive facts and hope same mistakes are not repeated by Hotel again.

The hotel is pretty good. I arrived early, even before dawn prayers, and had booked a twin room because I couldn't find a king-sized bed online, only for guests with special needs. I called the hotel number, but no one answered. When I arrived, I spoke to reception to fill in my details and asked about parking in the underground lot, but they said it was full. I said, ”No problem, I'll just go perform Umrah.” The reception staff, especially Abdul-Ilah, were great; he gave me a room with a single bed. I returned at 9 AM, and the room was ready, and they even found a parking spot for me. Thanks to employee Lujain. As for the room's cleanliness, it was generally good, but I did find some hair on the bed. The restaurant was excellent; I only took the breakfast package, and there were new dishes every day, so it would be suitable for longer stays. The bus schedule was punctual for me, probably because there wasn't much traffic. The return trip can be confusing sometimes because the hotel name isn't always displayed on the bus. It would be difficult for families because the distance from the bus drop-off point to the main gates of the Haram or the markets in the towers is quite far. If you're staying for a short period, like one or two days, and don't need to go to the Haram constantly, it's a suitable option considering the price and quality. The only issue they need to resolve is answering phone calls, as that was the only problem I encountered. Special thanks to the reception staff and security managers.

The hotel was very clean, and well organised. Staff members were friendly and helpful. There is a shuttle bus service to Masjid Al Haram which departs several times throughout the day. It takes roughly 25 minutes with traffic but you can also walk it there in a similar amount of time. The restaurant was open till suhoor during Ramadan, and served a variety of dishes.

The room was spacious and well-equipped, even featuring a small kitchenette, a safe, and an ironing machine. The lobby was grand and offered complimentary dates and a local tea. There's a shuttle service advertised to the Grand Mosque, but on our day, it dropped us off at a parking lot, requiring an additional transfer to reach our destination.

Stayed at Millennium Makkah Al Naseem and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay, and check-in was smooth. The facilities were good, and the overall atmosphere was calm and relaxing. A great option for anyone visiting Makkah.
