"Picking Shitoucuo was the absolute best decision for my relaxed May Day trip to Lijiang! A week before arrival, the hotel reached out to arrange airport transfers, check-in details, and an activity schedule. Anything we needed, we just had to mention it in the group chat, and it was handled immediately. This time, I opted for a four-day, three-night package, which included breakfast, dinner, and afternoon tea, so I didn't have to worry about what to eat. There was no need to plan my own itinerary; each day, I simply participated in the hotel's activities: mountain foraging, horseback riding, Naxi home visits, botanical specimen making, tea roasting, and a bonfire party. The May Day afternoon tea was a barbecue on the lawn, and it was incredibly pleasant to enjoy grilled food with a view of the snow-capped mountains. Every day at Shitoucuo, I felt incredibly well taken care of! 👍"

"We stayed here for 2 nights and had a really comfortable overall experience. It’s one of those places where you can truly relax, with thoughtful details everywhere. We didn’t realize before booking, but found out after arriving that this place has hosted celebrities before. The design of the hotel is very well done— every corner feels carefully curated and aesthetically pleasing. The flowers around the property were in full bloom during our stay, which made the whole place feel even more calming and healing. There’s also a small Alice in Wonderland-themed corner in the garden that you can step into and take photos. We even saw a couple doing their wedding photoshoot there. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a room upgrade, and the hotel also assigned us a personal butler. Communication was smooth and responsive, which definitely added to the experience. On the day we checked out, we had to leave early and couldn’t make it to breakfast. The butler thoughtfully arranged some yogurt and bread for us and had them delivered to our room door the night before, which we really appreciated. Breakfast mainly consists of rice noodles (mi xian / er si), along with some simple side dishes and fruits. The taste was actually quite good. There’s also a rooftop platform on the 3rd floor where you can see the “日照金山🌄 ” if the weather is clear. Unfortunately, we didn’t get lucky with the weather this time, which was a bit of a pity. The only regret is that we arrived quite late on the first day, and spent the second day at Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The white walls and dark roof tiles, combined with tropical greenery, create an incredible atmosphere when the lights come on in the evening. It perfectly blends the charm of traditional Naxi architecture with a modern, minimalist feel. The swimming pool and thatched umbrellas in the common area are super photogenic. Our room had great natural light and excellent soundproofing, and opening the window revealed a tranquil courtyard – truly my ideal escape. I have to summarize: 1. **Great Location:** It's super convenient to get to Lijiang's three ancient towns without getting stuck in traffic. The distance to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, the airport, and the high-speed rail station is also just right, making travel very easy. It’s much better than staying in the ancient towns, where getting around is a hassle and traffic is terrible. 2. **Room Upgrade & Views:** The front desk upgraded our room before check-in, and we could see the snow-capped mountains directly from our room, which was amazing! The room facilities were also quite complete. Taking a hot bath while watching the snow mountain or projecting movies was incredibly comfortable. 3. **Family-Friendly:** As soon as we entered, my child was captivated by the hotel's cats. They also provided kids' slippers, toothbrushes, sweet tremella soup for bedtime, and afternoon tea – everything was covered. Breakfast is available from 8 AM to 12 PM, which is a godsend for late risers. The complimentary afternoon tea is available until 9 PM, and you can even take it back to your room! Fantastic! 4. **Thoughtful Souvenirs & Gear:** The welcome gift included delicious flower cakes, an oxygen tank, and two sun-protective masks. I stayed for two days and asked for three sets. I hiked Jade Dragon Snow Mountain twice during my four days in Lijiang, and all the gear I used was from the hotel, which was really helpful! No need to buy anything outside! 5. **Excellent Facilities & Photo Opportunities:** The hotel has a gym, various Instagrammable spots, a swimming pool, and even travel photography services. Even without the professional service, you can take great photos yourself. Thumbs up! 6. **Golden-Star Butler Service:** This deserves a special mention. The front desk staff were incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond! For example, we booked one night on two different platforms, and for our two-day stay, they arranged a complimentary airport drop-off service in a luxurious Mercedes business van – safe, comfortable, and fast! Any other service we needed, we just had to ask the front desk butler, and they almost always helped. Their service attitude and dedication deserve huge praise! 7. **Well-Appointed & Comfortable Room:** The room facilities were all-inclusive, clean, and thoughtfully designed. It was very comfortable, quiet, and safe to stay in. Finally, I have to mention that on our third day, we stayed at the Wyndham Villa Hotel, which was 500 meters away and twice the price. The experience there was nowhere near as good as Bamboo Boat's. We spent more money for less comfort! So, next time I go to Lijiang, I will definitely choose Bamboo Boat again! Every photo you take here is magazine-worthy. The rooms are spacious and elegant, with comfortable bedding and high-quality amenities, and offer fantastic views right outside the window. In the courtyard, you might even encounter alpacas and peacocks, which adds a wonderful, calming touch. The 24-hour butler service is attentive and thoughtful, and amenities like afternoon tea, a spa, and a gym are all available. It's a tranquil oasis amidst the lively town, combining both the vibrancy of daily life and a sense of poetic beauty.
