"The owner of this B&B is very attentive. The breakfast was nutritious and delicious, and we really enjoyed it. We stayed on the third floor, and the owner helped us carry our luggage up and down, and even picked us up from the station. We could see the ancient city wall from our room, and the night view was beautiful. We were also happy to have a tea area. It's very close and convenient to the ancient city attractions; you can walk there. If you don't want to walk, there's a dedicated tourist shuttle right outside, and it's easy to book a car. The only minor drawback was that the toilet seat wasn't very functional."

"This hotel is amazing! Always so happy to come back to this beautiful space at the end of the day. Datong ancient town is not big and is easy to get around from Onetwo Hotel. Front desk is always so helpful to offer us assistance and check in with us on our needs. Not forgetting, their breakfast is an absolute winner! (If i have to nitpick, i would have preferred if we had fresh towel instead of one-use towels.) Nonetheless, would recommend this place to anyone coming to Datong. 👍👍👍"

"When I traveled to Datong, I chose this hotel on Trip.com. The location is excellent, very close to the ancient city. The hotel staff were all very welcoming and proactively greeted me whenever we met. They delivered a fruit platter to my room every day, and ginger tea and red date tea were available in the lobby, along with warm mineral water that guests could take themselves, which was a very thoughtful touch. The breakfast selection was incredibly rich, and the dining environment was superb. I had a wonderful experience staying at your hotel during my few days in Datong."

"A very pleasant stay at the Pipa Old Inn. A very historical building, though the place is equipped with all necessary modern amenities save for an elevator. Fortunately the staff very helpful assisted us with lugging up our heavy luggage to our room on the 3rd floor. Very beautifully decorated and strategically located in the heart of Datong Ancient City. Very pleasant and helpful staff who helped us plan and arrange our trips around Datong though sadly, they weren't very proficient in English (but that's common in China). Free breakfast was included in our stay and there was a decent spread though the menu didn't change much over our stay there save for one or two vegetable dishes being rotated. Overall definitely worth a return trip and stay in Datong Ancient City."

"The hotel was gorgeous, very clean and the location was great. The hosts running the hotel were extremely friendly, helping us out with anything we needed. Breakfast was made fresh and really delicious. They even offered us coffee which was clearly beyond what they usually offer but we really appreciated it. They also offered to bring us to the train station saving us a cab ride. I would definitely recommend staying here! You won't regret staying at this beautiful property with these very welcoming people."

"This hotel definitely lives up to its reputation as one of Datong's top two. The room was spacious, and the amenities were complete. We stayed for three days, and it was cleaned thoroughly every single day. The hotel breakfast was good, and there were complimentary swimming vouchers. The service standard truly met that of a five-star hotel. Given the off-peak season price, it was an incredibly good value for money experience! It will definitely be my first choice again when I return to Datong!"

"The room was spacious, clean, and bright. Although the en-suite bathroom was a bit compact, its layout was very practical and well-designed. We really liked the integrated smart controls throughout the room, and the hotel staff were wonderfully warm and attentive. The L'Occitane toiletries were a nice touch. However, the hotel's biggest disappointment was the breakfast served in the basement. It was simply chaotic! The food and drink stations were disorganized, and the seating area was a complete mess, with tables and chairs crammed everywhere, even spilling into the aisles – clearly an attempt to seat more guests. The staff themselves seemed overwhelmed and disorganized, constantly rushing around to clear tables while guests stood waiting with their plates of food. This was during an off-peak travel period; I can only imagine the sheer chaos and shoulder-to-shoulder crowds during peak season. Fortunately, there's a Fenglin Pavilion downstairs serving dim sum, where for around 20-something RMB, one could enjoy a satisfying meal in a much more pleasant setting."

"Modern, clean, and comfortable room, well equipped with amenities, even a remote control for the curtains. The downside is the location: far from the old town, and the surrounding area has little tourist appeal, though there are some small markets and simple restaurants nearby."

"The staff upgraded us to a suite room upon check-in. Also provided daily fruit platter and 梨汤. Supper of 刀削面，egg and warm milk was great! Special commendation to 郭六女 for good service. Parking convenient."
