Jinan Hotels with Kitchens

"The executive benefits here are an absolute joke! I bought a hotel package voucher, and specifically called ahead before booking to ask if I could pay extra to upgrade to an executive floor and get a late checkout until 4 PM. I only booked after getting confirmation. I even switched to this InterContinental for the last day of my trip, partly because I had such a great experience at another InterContinental in a provincial capital, so I trusted the brand. However, when I went to the front desk today to confirm my checkout time before heading out, I said I wanted to check out at 3 PM, and they told me no, the latest was 2 PM. They even pulled out a little card to show me the phrase ”subject to availability.” They didn't mention any big events or a sudden surge in tourism these past two days; otherwise, how tight could room availability be on a Monday/Tuesday right after summer vacation? The executive lounge was also incredibly disappointing. With service like this, the hotel still has the audacity to chase after 5-star reviews after checkout. They took every penny they were due, but I never saw a butler, and my requests were directly rejected, with implications that my requests were unreasonable. It's like I'm just a fool who paid extra for a room on a higher floor. P.S. The 2 stars for service are for housekeeping; otherwise, I wouldn't even give one."

"My stay at the Sheraton was fantastic! The lobby was grand and elegant, and the room was clean, tidy, and spacious. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, making for a very quiet night. The staff were warm and polite, check-in was efficient, and the service was attentive and thoughtful. The facilities were comprehensive, and the location was superb, making travel convenient. Overall, the quality was top-notch and it offered great value for money. It's an excellent choice for business travelers."

"I came to see Zhou Shen's concert in Jinan, and the hotel's location was fantastic. I could see the Olympic Sports Center from my window and even hear Zhou Shen's rehearsal. The hotel is super close to the subway; you can directly access it from the hotel grounds. If you're traveling by train, Jinan West Station is convenient as the subway goes directly to the hotel. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, though there's no public laundry room. They even gave out concert merchandise upon check-in and prepared drinks for us after the show, which was a very thoughtful touch. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom was also large. I walked to the Olympic Sports Center; heading east and then north, I was directly in front of the south gate. Since I had a grandstand ticket, my seat was just a few steps inside the south gate. It was the shortest walk I've ever had for a concert! After the show, I just walked back the same way, and it took about ten minutes to get to the hotel."

"The check-in experience was terrible. It was the first time I'd ever gotten angry with a front desk agent. I tried to check in at 1:30 PM, but was told the room wasn't ready and they'd notify me when it was. So I went off to do other things. When I came back around 5 PM, the front desk staff had changed, and the new person had no idea about my situation. They couldn't even find my luggage that I'd left at the front desk. For a chain hotel, this is truly awful. Later that evening, during a rehearsal in the conference room, the water bottles and stationery were all over the place, not even aligned in a straight line. I thought hotel staff would sort it out first thing in the morning, but I was wrong. This standard really doesn't live up to a five-star hotel. The 0.5 points are for the view and food at the executive lounge."
