Nanjing Yuequnqing·Thai style Tangquan Holiday Homestay

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Racha Mankha, and I can’t recommend it enough! This hotel is a hidden gem, offering a secluded and quiet retreat that truly embodies peace and relaxation. The ambiance is simply delightful, making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. One of the highlights of my stay was the food. I can confidently say that the Thai cuisine here is some of the best I’ve ever had in Nanjing! Each dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Additionally, I indulged in their Thai massage services, and it was an absolute must-try! The skilled therapists provided a rejuvenating experience that left me feeling refreshed and relaxed. While the area may not have as many tourist attractions as other parts of Nanjing, the tranquility and quality of service at Racha Mankha more than make up for it. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with fantastic food and pampering, this is the place to be!

Came here with my little one. Ingdi Hotel offers excellent service; they had the crib and all the baby essentials ready for us in advance, which saved us a lot of hassle. We took the mini-train and cable car in the park, and it was a new experience for my baby who kept staring out the window – the scenery was indeed lovely. We also explored the Nature Exploration Park; it has some interactive exhibits that kept the little one engaged, and adults won't get bored either. Overall, neither the adults nor the kids got too tired, and we had a great time. If you're visiting the Garden Expo with kids, this hotel is very comfortable and conveniently located. I'd definitely recommend it to friends.

This summer, I took my daughter to stay at the Dream Castle parent-child room at Yunxi Yasu, and choosing this accommodation for our Nanjing family trip really saved us a lot of hassle. The guesthouse's location is super convenient, making it easy to get to Hongshan Zoo, Xuanwu Lake, and Maya Water Park without long commutes, which is a big plus when traveling with kids. The room has just the right touch of childlike charm, with pink bow pillows, dessert-themed artwork, and a gentle, cute vibe. It even comes with a DIY dessert station, a complete set of children's makeup toys, and various plush dolls. My daughter was completely immersed the moment we walked in, playing quietly all afternoon. Downstairs, there are plenty of dining options; my daughter was thrilled to find Cha Yan Yue Se (a popular tea shop), and local specialties like Jiming soup dumplings and duck blood vermicelli soup are just downstairs. The overall setup is clean and thoughtful, perfectly catering to a little girl's preferences. It's highly recommended for families with young daughters who want both convenience and comfort on their travels.

Had a fantastic two-night stay at the Suning Zhongshan International Golf Hotel. It was incredibly comfortable and relaxing. The European-style manor, combined with Purple Mountain and the vast golf course, created an amazing environment perfect for photos. The room balcony offered stunning views, and the mattress was incredibly comfortable. The hotel had all the amenities you could ask for, including a pool and playground. Breakfast was plentiful, and the service was gentle and attentive. The whole trip was peaceful and rejuvenating – an excellent escape from the city, and definitely worth a return visit!

We've stayed at several hotels across China, and I can honestly say Nanjing International Conference Hotel has the best service. Shout out to their entire team! Even before we arrived, the service was outstanding. I booked a few weeks in advance and left a note asking if they could provide a cake and candle for my son's birthday – and to let me know if not, so I could buy one before checking in. Right after the booking was confirmed, a staff member called me personally to let me know they would prepare the cake. Such a thoughtful touch! During our stay, we unfortunately missed their shuttle and needed to catch a train to Shanghai at 2pm. I spoke to a man and a woman at the lobby around 12:30pm on April 19 (apologies, I was in a rush and can't remember their names). The woman was incredibly helpful – she made one phone call, and within minutes a car and driver picked us up right from the lobby. They truly went above and beyond. The hotel location is also a big plus – just a short walk from Wutong Street. If you want to take photos of this scenic area before the crowds arrive, this is the best place to stay. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of options, and the rooms were clean. Highly recommended!

Hanyuan Hotel

I booked Hanyuan because it is within walking distance to my folks home. And my grandma used to work at Nanjing Agricultural University, which the hotel is affiliated with. I read others’ reviews and knew it is an old facility. I did not have unrealistic expectations. We arrived late at night. Taxi driver dropped us off at the side entrance that has numerous stairs to the door. We had lots of luggage. As we got out of the cab, we saw some staff member in the lobby looking out. Instead of coming out to help us, he walked away. My husband, myself and our seven year old all carried/dragged multiple items up the stairs to get into the hotel lobby. We checked in and decided that we would need to add a bed for the kid. House keeping came quickly to set up the bed but was reluctant to provide pillows for the additional bed. I had to repeatedly ask before they agreed to bring an extra pillow. Don’t understand why there is such resistance to equip the additional bed with pillow- after all, we did pay for the additional bed. Everything else was pretty good during our first three-day-stay. We then went away to visit families elsewhere for a week before coming back to this hotel. This time, our car drove onto the ramp at the front entrance. As soon as we entered the building, lobby manager came to offer us help. He helped us deliver luggage to our room. We are very appreciative of his assistance. We ran into some issues at the front desk this time. They asked for our passports again and took our pictures for a second time. When I mentioned that we were just here a week ago and all information was taken already, we were told that all information has been erased as we checked out. When we checked in/out the first time, we informed front desk that we were making the hotel our base camp and will be coming in and out a few times. It’s strange that they would delete our information and redo everything all over again. Again we need to add a bed. House keeping brought a roller bed which has a stained mattress pad. I asked them to bring a clean one, they said they could not. They said they didn’t have any clean pads. They said the only option is to remove the pad and put the sheets directly on the mattress. They further suggested that since the sheet is clean, dirty pad doesn’t matter and that every mattress pad under bed sheets has urine stains. His words made my stomach turn but I was too tired to fight so they went ahead put sheets on top of the mattress pad that has a big yellow stain. Again I asked for pillows for the additional bed, they refused at first, upon my insistence, they agreed to bring pillows. They also took out a blanket from the cabinets under television and put it on the bed. When the seven year old was ready for bed, I opened the blanket and realized it’s cover is dirty. It’s dusty and has multiple stings of hair on it. I called house keeping, a lady quickly bought over a clean duvet cover for the blanket but refused to take away the dirty one. She insisted that we keep the dirty duvet in the closet. I did not understand her rationale but there isn’t anything I can do. So that dirty duvet cover stayed in the closet. Maybe I should not have come back to this hotel.

The InterContinental Nanjing boasts a prime location, nestled between the provincial and municipal government offices, and close to Nanjing University and Southeast University. It's also in the city's tallest building and directly connected to Gulou Station, making it incredibly convenient for both getting around and daily life. The hotel's facilities and services meet the high standards of an established five-star. A special shout-out to Alice and Lydia for their exceptional guest care. Overall, I was extremely satisfied and highly recommend it!

Our stay was really pleasant this time, and the package included two free scenic area tickets, which was great value for money. They also offered experiences like scripture copying and incense making, which were perfect for us retirees who appreciate a quiet, peaceful atmosphere. On the way up the mountain, we saw many little stray cats, all plump, showing how caring the staff are. The lotus flowers in the park were in full bloom, perfectly matching the zen atmosphere of the hotel. The winding paths in the mountains were not crowded with tourists, allowing us to leisurely explore the sights at our own pace, which was very enjoyable. The weather in Nanjing was just right these past few days. The front desk service was exceptionally thoughtful; they helped us take our luggage to the room and even turned on the lights and air conditioning for us – it's rare to find such detailed service in hotels nowadays. The room was clean and comfortable, and the overall environment was serene and peaceful. It was a very relaxing vacation, and I'll definitely recommend it to my friends.

This hotel offers the best value for money in the Jiangbei area. The room rates are excellent, and the downstairs Hongyue City mall makes shopping, parking, and dining incredibly convenient. I primarily choose this hotel because of its proximity to the school. I've stayed here for all my mock exams and the Gaokao (college entrance exam) during my final year of high school. The desk and lighting in the family room are perfect for students to study. The soundproofing is a bit lacking, but it's generally not an issue as most bookings during exam periods are from students.

Originally, I planned to drive to Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai for more freedom, but then the first hiccup occurred: parking wasn't very convenient. Following the navigation, I waited for 10 minutes in the queue for parking spaces opposite the hotel, but the line didn't move and it was also obstructing traffic. I had no choice but to call the hotel, and they arranged for me to use the underground parking garage behind the hotel. Check-in was smooth, handled by a young lady named Liu. She was skilled and efficient, and I even got a room upgrade. There's a Starbucks-authorized coffee shop opposite the lobby where I bought a cake and coffee, which was quite satisfactory. After checking in, I headed straight to several popular shopping malls in Xinjiekou, and then to the Qinhuai River in the evening. Public transport was convenient, with direct subway access to the attractions. Nanjing's attractions are much more compact than Xi'an's, mostly clustered together, which is convenient. Back at the hotel in the evening, I saw an advertisement for the Western restaurant in the elevator. I decided to go for dinner the next day. Since it was quite late, the restaurant manager responsibly informed me that the buffet was almost over, so I ordered a set meal advertised in the elevator, which was good value for money. I also went to the swimming pool in the evening, and here's where I have to complain. Firstly, the water felt a bit cold when I first got in. After swimming two laps with my child, it felt slightly better. Then, I overheard a foreign guest asking the pool staff about the water temperature, pointing out that the sign didn't show 29 degrees. The staff member just took a thermometer, measured it, and showed it to the guest. The foreigner just shook their head and left. 29-degree water shouldn't feel cold; I've worked in a pool before, so I'm quite familiar with this. Then, in the changing room, I found only one large bath towel. I couldn't find a small towel anywhere, so I ended up using the red emergency call phone. Should the hotel consider installing a direct line to the front desk in the changing rooms instead of having to use the emergency call, as their functions are different? Check-out was also quick and efficient, but as a front desk attendant, shouldn't they have asked me if I had a car to park? I ended up running back and forth at least three times from the back door to the concierge before the gate finally opened and let me out. Overall, the hotel's location is excellent, but some of the facilities are unsatisfactory, and the service needs more training. I hope the hotel takes this seriously.
