This time, I made a last-minute decision to bring my child to Nanjing, and chose Atour Hotel Gulou for its excellent location. From the careful handling of the limited parking upon check-in to the smooth check-out process, everything demonstrated the high caliber of the front desk staff. It was a great experience, and Happy New Year!

Hanyuan Hotel

I booked Hanyuan because it is within walking distance to my folks home. And my grandma used to work at Nanjing Agricultural University, which the hotel is affiliated with. I read others’ reviews and knew it is an old facility. I did not have unrealistic expectations. We arrived late at night. Taxi driver dropped us off at the side entrance that has numerous stairs to the door. We had lots of luggage. As we got out of the cab, we saw some staff member in the lobby looking out. Instead of coming out to help us, he walked away. My husband, myself and our seven year old all carried/dragged multiple items up the stairs to get into the hotel lobby. We checked in and decided that we would need to add a bed for the kid. House keeping came quickly to set up the bed but was reluctant to provide pillows for the additional bed. I had to repeatedly ask before they agreed to bring an extra pillow. Don’t understand why there is such resistance to equip the additional bed with pillow- after all, we did pay for the additional bed. Everything else was pretty good during our first three-day-stay. We then went away to visit families elsewhere for a week before coming back to this hotel. This time, our car drove onto the ramp at the front entrance. As soon as we entered the building, lobby manager came to offer us help. He helped us deliver luggage to our room. We are very appreciative of his assistance. We ran into some issues at the front desk this time. They asked for our passports again and took our pictures for a second time. When I mentioned that we were just here a week ago and all information was taken already, we were told that all information has been erased as we checked out. When we checked in/out the first time, we informed front desk that we were making the hotel our base camp and will be coming in and out a few times. It’s strange that they would delete our information and redo everything all over again. Again we need to add a bed. House keeping brought a roller bed which has a stained mattress pad. I asked them to bring a clean one, they said they could not. They said they didn’t have any clean pads. They said the only option is to remove the pad and put the sheets directly on the mattress. They further suggested that since the sheet is clean, dirty pad doesn’t matter and that every mattress pad under bed sheets has urine stains. His words made my stomach turn but I was too tired to fight so they went ahead put sheets on top of the mattress pad that has a big yellow stain. Again I asked for pillows for the additional bed, they refused at first, upon my insistence, they agreed to bring pillows. They also took out a blanket from the cabinets under television and put it on the bed. When the seven year old was ready for bed, I opened the blanket and realized it’s cover is dirty. It’s dusty and has multiple stings of hair on it. I called house keeping, a lady quickly bought over a clean duvet cover for the blanket but refused to take away the dirty one. She insisted that we keep the dirty duvet in the closet. I did not understand her rationale but there isn’t anything I can do. So that dirty duvet cover stayed in the closet. Maybe I should not have come back to this hotel.

This summer, I took my daughter to stay at the Dream Castle parent-child room at Yunxi Yasu, and choosing this accommodation for our Nanjing family trip really saved us a lot of hassle. The guesthouse's location is super convenient, making it easy to get to Hongshan Zoo, Xuanwu Lake, and Maya Water Park without long commutes, which is a big plus when traveling with kids. The room has just the right touch of childlike charm, with pink bow pillows, dessert-themed artwork, and a gentle, cute vibe. It even comes with a DIY dessert station, a complete set of children's makeup toys, and various plush dolls. My daughter was completely immersed the moment we walked in, playing quietly all afternoon. Downstairs, there are plenty of dining options; my daughter was thrilled to find Cha Yan Yue Se (a popular tea shop), and local specialties like Jiming soup dumplings and duck blood vermicelli soup are just downstairs. The overall setup is clean and thoughtful, perfectly catering to a little girl's preferences. It's highly recommended for families with young daughters who want both convenience and comfort on their travels.

The environment is absolutely stunning: Nestled at the foot of Zhongshan Mountain, this European-style manor boasts a massive lawn and golf course. The air is fresh, the views are expansive, and it's perfect for photos, feeling just like staying in a forest oxygen bar. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed: Starting from 51 sqm, each comes with a balcony or terrace. You'll find King Koil mattresses, Dyson hairdryers, BOSE sound systems, and Acqua di Parma toiletries. The bathrooms feature a separate wet and dry area, plus a large bathtub. Extremely family-friendly: There's a castle-themed kids' playground on the basement level, weekend clown interactions, craft activities, bubble shows, and complimentary cotton candy. Kids receive a special bathrobe and rubber ducky, making it ideal for families with little ones. Excellent breakfast reputation: The Lantig buffet offers a wide variety of options, including local Nanjing snacks (like noodles and pan-fried buns), seafood, and desserts. On weekends, there's a dazzling flame cake show. Rich facilities: Enjoy a 27-hole golf course (complimentary driving range for guests), a heated swimming pool (including a warm pool for children), a Technogym fitness center, and multiple restaurants (Huaiyang cuisine/Western). Service highlights: The front desk often provides free room upgrades, the butler service is highly responsive, and the turndown service is thoughtful. A shuttle bus is available to the golf course.

This trip was a wonderful surprise: 1. The hotel's location is excellent. Underwater World is right next door, Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum is just a 12-minute walk away, and Plum Blossom Hill and Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum are also nearby – truly a hotel within the scenic area. 2. Transportation: We drove, and since there were weekend traffic restrictions, the hotel very kindly helped us make a reservation, which was fantastic! 3. Dining: The hotel's breakfast was superb, exceeding our expectations. 4. Service: The front desk staff were very welcoming. Seeing that we had a small baby, they even upgraded our room type and the hotel provided complimentary fruit and drinks! Thumbs up! 5. Hotel Environment: It was lovely, with birds singing and flowers blooming – very pleasant. Other facilities: There's a gym and a swimming pool. Unfortunately, I didn't bring my gear this time, so I'll definitely bring my swimsuit to try it out next time. It was a very enjoyable trip, and I'll definitely book here again the next time I visit Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum.

This stay truly exceeded all my expectations. The overall design is a new-Chinese Zen style, with wooden grilles in the public corridors, marble floors, and warm wood accents. Walking through feels quiet and elegant, with bamboo groves and greenery visible everywhere, and lush green views outside the windows. The private dining rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing the dense mountain forests, so whether you're dining or relaxing, you're enveloped by nature – the ambiance is absolutely incredible. The private dining rooms are spacious and airy, offering panoramic views of the garden. The round tables are perfect for family gatherings or business dinners, with complete tableware and a tranquil environment. The dishes taste great, the ingredients are fresh, and the dining experience is excellent. The room corridors are quiet and tidy, with ample natural light, and the soft furnishings feel high-end, making for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The hotel's outdoor courtyard is shaded by ancient trees, and the entrance is rustic yet grand. Every step reveals a new view, offering a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle. It's suitable for both leisure vacations and business trips, with outstanding scenery, rooms, and food. The value for money is exceptional, and I'll definitely be back!

I was genuinely surprised and delighted by my stay at Citadines Hongyue City Nanjing. This hotel just opened in 2024, so all the facilities are brand new and fully equipped. The two-bedroom deluxe suite was incredibly spacious, with 57 square meters, easily accommodating three people. It even had an open-plan kitchen, which is perfect for families traveling together. The location is super convenient, close to the subway, making getting around a breeze. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and I loved the robot delivery service that brought meals right to the door – a really thoughtful touch. The gym was also available for use anytime. The room itself was spotless and quiet, ensuring a great night's sleep. This place offers amazing value for money! I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Nanjing, and I highly recommend it to everyone!

I came to Ziqing Lake for vacation for the third time. It was during the New Year's Day holiday and the room was fully booked. There were queues for meals and hot springs. Fortunately, the service was not discounted. Overall, the management was more standardized than the previous two times. In addition, there was an entrance to the zoo in the hotel, which was really convenient. The facilities in Building 7 were cost-effective, but the hair dryer was a bit old. Halfway through the hair drying, the automatic protection stopped, and half of the hair could only be air-dried

This hotel took a minute to find if you arrive from the East ,just walk straight through the mall.It is attached to a mall, so whatever you may need is 200m away .Yet, to its south side, is a beautiful hill with a historic building .The hotel is clean and the rooms are pretty impressive for the price. The rooms come with a sofa or 2 chairs ,a desk and a very nice bathroom. All around, I would say for the price ,it's great value.

The hotel's location is excellent, making it easy to get around. While the front desk staff and particularly the concierge staff were quite aloof, the biggest surprise was the exceptional service at the hotel restaurant. Restaurant staff member Luan Zheng was incredibly professional with outstanding communication skills. During my meal, he was gentle, polite, and very personable. He proactively approached us to thoughtfully inquire about our dining experience and patiently listened to our needs.
